They could have easily sold me on replacing my timing chain, gears and all the parts that it takes to rebuild that area but instead I was advised that it would be best to have the transmission checked out first before spending $2500 to $3000 with them. The car is only worth about $5000 so it wouldn't be worth spending all that money on it to then have the transmission break down on me and I would have to spend another 4-5K. Thank you for honesty!

I had a nightmare experience with 2tech Auto in chico Ca, (read the yelp review its an entertaining…read morereview) and only 2 hours left on my breathalyzer till it locked out my car, this was from disconnecting the battery which is apparently not allowed. I did so cause the unit was draining the battery at night to keep itself warm in the cold. Nevertheless I called 99smog and Tune and he said come on out with no appointment, which saved me a 300$ tow if he had said make an appointment my car would have locked out. When I got there they were very sympathetic towards my situation and had me out of there in 15 minutes. I couldnt have expected them to show more empathy and kindness from what had endured at 2tech auto. They charge less than most places and their minimum is only 55$. Its a nice drive to Gridley 20 minutes if you live in Chico go to to these guys. Very professional worth the drive.

He told me they were going to work on it right away and so I said great! After confirming that the water pump had broken and that they could have it repaired the same day I was very surprised and impressed. I did get a little concerned with the estimate but up to this point everything had gone better then expected so I went ahead and told them to get it repaired. Later that afternoon I got a call telling me that The job was done so I went in and picked it up after they let me know about a payment option which I qualified for and all was good again in my life!! The job carries a two year or 20,000 mile warranty and I even had my original cost for the inspection returned to me which I needed. I highly recommend dirks transmission and repairs to anyone with a small to large repair and need it done quickly and with complete professionalism. I will be going back for any future repairs and maintenance needed on my daily driver C6 Corvette 2008. Thanks Omar and the entire staff at Dirks auto repair. I wanted to post an update as of the end of the week of the repairs being completed and I did take my car back to Dirks because of a smell of antifreeze and just wanted to be safe. So there was a small leak in a heater hose that went undetected during the final pressure test performed. Omar told me to bring it in and we can take a second look so I did and it does happen, there was a small leak in a heater hose and it needed to be replaced as well. My husbands truck wouldn't smog and they charged him hundreds for things most places don't charge for like different system flushing and fluid checks to trouble shoot. They returned his truck back and still couldn't get it to smog and had no idea what was wrong with it. I think he spent over a grand having it there for a week just to get it back no better then we left it. We took it to another place in town who informed us we had gotten ripped off and it didn't really look like they did anything, how embarrassing. Now we have to wait and try again when we have the extra money... until then he has a truck he can't drive, that won't smog, and is racking up fees while we wait to renew the registration.
