I didn't think anyone was there..) someone answered! "Oh yes I saw you pull in .... Maybe they were in the bathroom." If you open at 7a and you know someone has an appt at 7a, maybe schedule your bathroom break accordingly? Like before you open? Leave a sign somewhere that says .. "be right back" ?? Anything? Side note; the mechanic seemed like a woman hater.

I returned the next day at 9:05 and there was someone already being serviced ahead of me, but the owner saw me and said I would be next (he estimated 15 min and it ended up being less.) He asked for paperwork, which they don't really send for renewals nowadays but he was able to use my registration from previous year. He then asked that I wait and estimated it would take 20 min. I would like to note that other cars drove up after me, but he honored my place in the queue; which I appreciated. The waiting area isn't fancy but there are chairs and I just spend the time writing this review! I'm just so pleased to find a fair honest place especially considering the last place (smog center on pico at Cloverfield) was truly awful. I only need a SMOG every other year, but I will definitely be returning here moving forward.

This is a no-frills, no-branding establishment. I showed up at around 2pm on a Friday, and the technician got me in right away and was done testing my car in about 10 minutes! Very nice guy. He got me in and out within 10-15 minutes (this was with waiting for another car before me). Super quick & efficient! I made an appointment online the morning of and there were plenty of times to choose from. HIGHLY RECOMMEND making an appointment ahead of time. When I arrived, another women drove up without an appointment and she had to wait behind me & another women with an appointment. The owner goes by appointment first & then first come, first serve. The total cost of the Smog check was $88. Pretty expensive but equivalent to other locations on the west side, I'd say. The owner did ask if I had my renewal slip that I got in the mail to help speed up the process, so bring it if you have it handy otherwise it's not a big deal if you don't have it. This is my new spot for getting smog tests.
