Guy that works here is unnecessarily rude. I came in while he was helping someone else and sat down in one of the 4 chairs in the waiting area. He immediately tells me I need to wait outside to which I replied "what are the chairs for then". After my comment I then walked outside like he has asked me to and then he says "If you don't like it you can leave" and approaches me as if to intimidate me... As a business owner myself I can't believe someone would treat a customer this way especially someone who has come to this shop for the last 10yrs to get my Smog Checks done on all my vehicles. Some of the worst customer service I've seen in a long time, stay away from this guys business unless you enjoy being disrespected

Every two years once the car is 5 years old in Cali. And all my cars are over five years old now. Granted everything is stock so no issues. No wheel dyno - pre 99 I think - which is a total paid if you need that. So fun.

Congratulations, you ripped off a little girl. My daughter brought her 2017 Civic these clowns and they charged her $64.75 for a smog cert without any repairs needed. It shouldn't be more than $35 on the high end. Creeps - Avoid them!

I came in as a walk in about 30min before closing. Frank helped me out when I got there and was very nice and very informative. I was in and out in about 15minutes. I've never needed a smog on my 2016 Mustang till now but I'll be back again when my next smog is due! If you get their Groupon for a smog, their prices are about cut in half. read more

This review is for AJ not Frank the tech. AJ was super friendly, efficient, and kind. Frank was rude, mouthy, and then as I was leaving he mouthed off to an old couple. Frank the owner, please do yourself a favor and remove Frank the tech on Friday and Sunday. He's not a giod representative of your company. Waited almost an hour just for the guy to tell me that his machine wouldn't do my car. He also wouldn't honor an online check in deal because apparently it's only valid for OBDII vehicles, and my classic fixer was a 95, and thus OBDI. He was nice about it so I won't knock him on his professionalism. What I can say is that the smog was going to cost me almost $100 which is highway robbery. I ended up going to Dinhs Smog and he had me out in 20 min for less than half of the price. No B/S. I have four other vehicles and will ensure that any and all future business will go to Dinhs Smog even though it's nearly 20 min out of the way. read more

Beware! This is NOT a no pass no pay smog check. They will scrutinize your car to find any reason to fail your car. Their business model is the more they fail people the more money they pull in. Unless you know your car will pass with flying colors do not take your car here. Don't let their coupons and Groupon deals sucker you in. read more

I brought my year 2000 NSX-T to get a smog test. I had just bought it from a guy in New Jersey and it needed to get smog'd for California registration. I brought it here because Acura themselves didn't do smog tests for cars this old. When I arrived, they were quick and got me passed. The car was in and out in an hour. Painless. read more

Horrible place to do business with very horrible waiting on a receipt for me for my catalytic converter I forgot to give it to you when I come back next time he goes off on me kicking me out of all you have to do is remind me he didn't do that he wants to jump down my throat kick me out while that's your business loss buddy I would not recommend this place to anybody horrible horrible horrible I would give it 0 Stars. My husband comes here everytime he needs a smog inspection (he's gone at least 4 times) and loves the service, employees and cost. He will not go anywhere else. He says they're fast, honest and he recommends them to his co-workers, our neighbors (I overheard him telling our neighbor to come here) and our family. This is for the location on Lincoln in Orange... I don't even know where to start, the fact the smog technician told me he doesn't like people near him unless it Marlyn Monroe and gave me a creeper look so he only likes helping young girls!? Or the fact I had to go get another gas cap due to mine having cracks around the seal ignoring the fact all my smog monitors were complete, then making me do his job like open my hood and move my car around your shop like Im providing you the service. Proceed to take my gas cap off while vehicle was running and take screwdriver to it for no apparent reason on my new gas cap. Then on top of it all charge me a $18.25 for a state certificate that costs $8.25 at every other shop because I used a Groupon and "they messed up". Then the cherry on top a young lady pulls up and he glad to help her out and be around her. Guy totally ignored me when I said thank you sir and have a nice day. Would not recommend this shop to anyone. Wasted 2 hours of my time for a smog that should've taken 15 minutes if this guy was competent of his job! read more

Place does not do smog checks on German cars. Really confused as they have a Porsche on their pics?! Tech said he needed to see entire engine on a Porsche before smog checking? If you have a Toyota or Nissan this place should work for you, but anything with a rear engine go somewhere else don't waste your time here. Tech is not very knowledgeable. read more

I decided to give this place a shot because of all of the 5 star reviews. After today's experience, I realized those 5 star reviews were not as genuine. You give the smog guy a good review, he takes off a couple of dollars. I showed the worker guy, AJ, an online coupon and he agreed to honor it. However, the worker AJ was only nice to me up until I received a fail result. He became rude and condescending. He told me I wasn't worth risking his license over. After the fail result, he charged me $51 and told me to come back as he did not honor the coupon. He added that if I passed the second time, he'll only charge me an additional $8 for the cert. oh cool... I did not want to deal with his complete lack of customer service so I took this is as a complete loss and went elsewhere. I paid $40 and received a much more pleasant experience with another nearby shop. read more

0 stars , I bought a Groupon to do a smog test , and at the same day I replaced my car battery the guy told me the car can't pass the smog test you have to drive 100 miles and come back It will be one time free plus $8.25 certificate and he stamped my paper for one free within next 90 days I went today to do the smog after I drove 100 miles there is a different guys was working he's name Ag or Aj something like that he was very rude unprofessional he told me leave I wouldn't do it for you come back on Friday when the other guy here ! 0 customer service unbelievable how he was rude I hope the owner can replace him with another worker read more

I live about 30 miles away but I come to Urgent Auto Care because they are honest, trustworthy, friendly, and most of all, they will give you the run down on the issue and offer options for you to decide on what you want to do with great pricing. I often come here for things the dealer wants me to change and repair and Sean will let me know what is more of a priority than other items, or the dealer reported items, that is not as bad as the dealer made it sound like and that I have some times before I really need to think about changing or repair. Sean had consistently proved to me that he will be honest on what you need and not on what he can earn from you. After so many years, my wife and two kids now also take their car to Sean at Urgent Auto Care.

However , my recent visit(12/20/25) has changed my view on them . Their smog tech's knowledge is lacking . My car's catalytic converter was stolen last year . We purchased all parts from the dealer and had them installed by a local reputable muffler location . ( catalytic converter , oem flange , oxygen sensor , gaskets , upper and lower shields misc hardware). We added a miller cat shield to protect it.. I brought him my car for a smog. He told me everything lookred good, except the visual? I said why? He told me that the catalytic converter was the incorrect one. I told him it was the OEM part from the Manfacture. He disagreeed. I told him i had the reciept from the dealer where the parts were purchased. He told me he wasn't going to charge me but to bring it back the car with the documentation. No failed docuemntation was handed to me . I printed all records from the online dealer purchase and returend. I was greated by a different smog tech. I told him that the previous tech told me to come back to smog the car. He reviewed the car and told me the car had failed. I was confused as the first tech didn't not say anyting about failing the car. I told the new tech that i had brought it this location. He asked for the documentation. I told him the gentlemen that reviewed the car told me he was not going charge and not docuemenation was issued. I told him that if the tech failed it you smog system should have a record. He goes and looks up the car to see who pefromed the test and found it was the smog station they run. He printed out the failed report The new techc said, come back when he is here as i don't why he failed it. I asked him when the tech will be back? He stated in 2 weeks? SMH.... 2 weeks? i can't wait that long. I reverted back to the smog /repair station i went prior to finding this shop(its closer to my home). Guess what it passed the visual. Never again will i come back. It is unfortunate. 2 stars, the lack of knowledge is unacceptable. The inablity to identify an OEM Catalytic converter from the Car's manufacture is a problem.

My request went through the Yelp Project page first and Jose was very fast with his response. He told me I could come in on a Friday morning as a walk in. Gino who took care of my intake was very friendly and made me feel welcome. They also had a comfy waiting area stocked with complimentary coffee and snacks, but I didn't need to wait long because I was out of there within an hour, oil changed and tires rotated. Their prices are fair and they accept both credit card and cash/Zelle (if you want to avoid the 3% credit card surcharge). During the oil change they also noted some things that will need repair, but weren't pushy with their recommendations. For that I am very appreciative, and will most definitely come back for their continued services.

I took my Honda there and the middle eastern guy who was doing the smog for me started to rev my engine like crazy and then he opened the hood and was looking for 30 min he tried so hard to find something and not passing my smog but my car is great and passed it regardless. I was feeling very uncomfortable when he was Erving my engine like that I don't think that's right to rev an 5 years old engine like that. save your car and do smog somewhere else read more

This was my first visit to Smog Time, going there based on a coupon I found on-line. They happily accepted the coupon and discounted the posted price accordingly. Technician was friendly and efficient and I was out of there in 20 minutes.
