The guy who helped us wouldn't pass us because he claimed from his "experience" that he knew that our factory catalytic converter was after market when it in fact was a factory one. Took it to another smog place and they said they were able to tell that it was a factory one and passed us. Never going here again. Waste of money and time. read more

BEWARE: TECHNICIAN DISPLAYED RACISM AND SEXISM (1/14/2025) After waiting for 30 minutes in the waiting room with another customer, the technician asked me to step outside because "there are illnesses going around" and only one customer could be inside at a time. This felt odd, especially since I had been waiting for so long in the waiting room with the other customer for 30 minutes already. His comment made both me and the other customer uncomfortable. He then told me to wait in my car, promising to call me when it was my turn to move my car forward. I agreed and went to my car. Once inside my car, the technician approached my window and began yelling at me, getting closer with each shout. He claimed he was denying me service because I "had an attitude," even though I hadn't been rude. I've never been treated this way at any business. I believe I was denied service due to my skin color and gender, especially since two men behind me were promptly attended to. I will never return to this place again. read more

I came in as a walk in about 30min before closing. Frank helped me out when I got there and was very nice and very informative. I was in and out in about 15minutes. I've never needed a smog on my 2016 Mustang till now but I'll be back again when my next smog is due! If you get their Groupon for a smog, their prices are about cut in half. read more

This is the third time I've been to Smog Time (twice for my car and once for my wife's car) and my first review of this great hidden business. Each time I've been here, AJ has been my technician. He is friendly, knowledgeable, and very ethical. Each visit, I have purchased a Groupon beforehand and never had any issues using it. Great customer service, outstanding value, and AJ gets you in and out quickly. I will keep coming back every time I need a Smog Check. read more

We were lucky enough to arrive right before another customer and were taken right away. I used the check in on Yelp which earned me a much appreciated discount with the coupon. Service was thorough and quick. We were in and out in about 15 minutes. Definitely recommend this business if you're needing a smog check. Thank you AJ! read more

I went here for smog last week, the service man was cool and helpful and quick. We chitchated and made time go by fast and passed. Clean garage and sanitary station. I'll go again. Make sure to check in for a coupon yall read more

Waited almost an hour just for the guy to tell me that his machine wouldn't do my car. He also wouldn't honor an online check in deal because apparently it's only valid for OBDII vehicles, and my classic fixer was a 95, and thus OBDI. He was nice about it so I won't knock him on his professionalism. What I can say is that the smog was going to cost me almost $100 which is highway robbery. I ended up going to Dinhs Smog and he had me out in 20 min for less than half of the price. No B/S. I have four other vehicles and will ensure that any and all future business will go to Dinhs Smog even though it's nearly 20 min out of the way. read more

Smog Time - My Classic W140 being smogged. - Smog Check Stations Near Me - Orange, California

AJ was extremely quick completing the test, and making sure I had everything ready. Best price I in the entire area as well.

Despite being the independent woman that I am, anything related to car maintenances never fail to make me nervous. After reading reviews, I decided to get my smog check done with Benny at Smog Time. Upon arrival he was helpful, informative, and very efficient. I was in and out, from start to finish, in twenty minutes. He was also so sweet in checking out a funky sound my car happened to be making that day. Trustworthy and effective, Benny will quickly become your go to guy to handle any smog concerns with your car. read more

This review is for AJ not Frank the tech. AJ was super friendly, efficient, and kind. Frank was rude, mouthy, and then as I was leaving he mouthed off to an old couple. Frank the owner, please do yourself a favor and remove Frank the tech on Friday and Sunday. He's not a giod representative of your company. AJ did the service with a smile and made me feel like the value of his service was above expectations. Frank unfortunately made me feel threatened! read more

I brought my year 2000 NSX-T to get a smog test. I had just bought it from a guy in New Jersey and it needed to get smog'd for California registration. I brought it here because Acura themselves didn't do smog tests for cars this old. When I arrived, they were quick and got me passed. The car was in and out in an hour. Painless. read more

Horrible place to do business with very horrible waiting on a receipt for me for my catalytic converter I forgot to give it to you when I come back next time he goes off on me kicking me out of all you have to do is remind me he didn't do that he wants to jump down my throat kick me out while that's your business loss buddy I would not recommend this place to anybody horrible horrible horrible I would give it 0 Stars. There was no reason for him to go off the way he did all he had to do was ask me to bring the paper in if I forgot it whatever the case may be instead he jumped down my throat I don't want your business get out of here excetera excetera tough s*** I don't need your business there's plenty of businesses just like his his loss not mine read more

My husband comes here everytime he needs a smog inspection (he's gone at least 4 times) and loves the service, employees and cost. He will not go anywhere else. He says they're fast, honest and he recommends them to his co-workers, our neighbors (I overheard him telling our neighbor to come here) and our family. Keep up the great work, thank you foe being honest and you have lifetime customers! read more

Beware! This is NOT a no pass no pay smog check. They will scrutinize your car to find any reason to fail your car. Their business model is the more they fail people the more money they pull in. Unless you know your car will pass with flying colors do not take your car here. Don't let their coupons and Groupon deals sucker you in. read more

Great service and priced well! AJ was friendly, professional and very knowledgeable. 100% recommend.

AJ is very nice and helpful. be coming to this location for many years. they do very good work at a good price.

This is for the location on Lincoln in Orange... I don't even know where to start, the fact the smog technician told me he doesn't like people near him unless it Marlyn Monroe and gave me a creeper look so he only likes helping young girls!? Or the fact I had to go get another gas cap due to mine having cracks around the seal ignoring the fact all my smog monitors were complete, then making me do his job like open my hood and move my car around your shop like Im providing you the service. Proceed to take my gas cap off while vehicle was running and take screwdriver to it for no apparent reason on my new gas cap. Then on top of it all charge me a $18.25 for a state certificate that costs $8.25 at every other shop because I used a Groupon and "they messed up". Then the cherry on top a young lady pulls up and he glad to help her out and be around her. Guy totally ignored me when I said thank you sir and have a nice day. Would not recommend this shop to anyone. Wasted 2 hours of my time for a smog that should've taken 15 minutes if this guy was competent of his job! read more

I decided to give this place a shot because of all of the 5 star reviews. After today's experience, I realized those 5 star reviews were not as genuine. You give the smog guy a good review, he takes off a couple of dollars. I showed the worker guy, AJ, an online coupon and he agreed to honor it. However, the worker AJ was only nice to me up until I received a fail result. He became rude and condescending. He told me I wasn't worth risking his license over. After the fail result, he charged me $51 and told me to come back as he did not honor the coupon. He added that if I passed the second time, he'll only charge me an additional $8 for the cert. oh cool... I did not want to deal with his complete lack of customer service so I took this is as a complete loss and went elsewhere. I paid $40 and received a much more pleasant experience with another nearby shop. read more

Place does not do smog checks on German cars. Really confused as they have a Porsche on their pics?! Tech said he needed to see entire engine on a Porsche before smog checking? If you have a Toyota or Nissan this place should work for you, but anything with a rear engine go somewhere else don't waste your time here. Tech is not very knowledgeable. read more

Excellent service for smog checks. Friendly, and open on Sundays. Very convenient and will come back again for next smog check!

Aj was so helpful and kind ! Only took 10 min! Highly recommend! In and out in no time and great price
