Quick and easy! Great staff! Very friendly. Good value. There is a place to wait inside. It's right next to the car wash. They submit to DMV. Got my tags in a little over a week. Easy peasy. Was able to use a coupon too. read more

The service was so fast I couldn't believe it. The price is also really good as well. I came in last week and I pulled up and about 5 minutes later my car was done I paid and I was outta there. I would definitely be bringing my other vehicles here. Definitely recommend. read more

Wow best Smog service I've seen. Amazing customer service when I went, and super quick and efficient despite being busy. Lady behind counter with amazing tattoos and people skills kindly gave my kids quarters for the old school candy machine too! read more

Smog 'N Go - My kids hanging during our super quick smog visit. - Smog Check Stations Near Me - Folsom, California

They're awesome they're the best, kind, clean waiting area and professional service... What more can you ask for?

Fast and courteous service, 10 minutes total time. Would definitely recommend for DMV requirements.

I pulled into the parking spaces at this business and read the sign on the building "Smog? Pull into lanes at bays" I pulled around before I turned off my truck a Tech came out and took my registration and mileage and told me to go inside. The associate already had my info and had me sign. I let her know I'd left my online coupon in the truck and she said "I got you!" Without a blink included the discount. Took all of 15 minutes. Thank you! read more

drove in without an appointment & had my smog check be certificate in 30 mins!!! Great Customer service

If your vehicle needs a smog certificate, this is the best place to go! They are extremely friendly and professional. They are a great value. read more

We arrived at 5:45 and they were closed. Gated down. The door says they close at 6. Normally never that busy. Unprofessional.

I brought my old car Rafaello in for a Star Smog last week, and was treated to some stellar customer service. After dropping off my keys, I set out for a walk, thinking I could make it up to Safeway for a muffin and back before the emissions inspection was complete. I was only a few minutes up the road when I got a phone call. "The car won't start." "Seriously? I just had the starter replaced. Okay. I'll be right there." I didn't want to leave my car in the way of any other potential customers while I figured things out, so, I asked the employees if they would help me push my car into a parking space, and they kindly obliged. As soon as the car was in the space, it decided to start again, so, I drove it straight back to the mechanic. It turned out that he had made a mistake, which he took accountability for, and was able to resolve. Several hours later, I returned with Rafaello (my car). The sales clerk seemed to recognize me, and wasted no time getting me checked back in. I was soon advised that, because I had just had work done, I would need to take my car on a long drive to clear some things out, so that it could pass smog. At least, that was my understanding (I don't know anything about cars beyond what the DMV legally requires me to know in order to operate one). So, I took a nice drive out to Bridalveil Fall on 50 and back, barely pausing to admire the waterfall, which was surrounded by tourists. "Third time's the charm," I thought, as I pulled into Smog 'N Go for the third time that day. Finally, my car passed the smog. There was a coupon on their website, so, altogether, I only paid around $60 for everything, including the tax and certificate. I had looked around, and this was definitely the best deal in town, especially considering that there is only one other Star certified smog center in Folsom. If I remember correctly, this was now my third time having my car smog checked at this facility, and I have had great experiences every time. As the name implies, they are very quick, have great customer service, and offer the best rates in town. read more

Honestly, I would give these folks 10 stars. I walked in with my DMV paperwork. The extremely nice representative got me all squared away, which took a minute or two. Then they pulled my car into the bay, and I was out 5 - 10 minutes later. I was there a total of no more than 15 minutes. Sorry some folks did not like their experience there, but this is a go to place, for me. Please, if you had a bad experience, get over whatever the glitch may have been. OR, just get over yourself. read more

They were quick and excellent customer service. My car failed the first time and I was able to get it fixed and come back and only pay a small processing fee. Will recommend this place and be back in the future. read more

Supposed to open at 8:00 am today. Got there a little after 8:00 and no one was there. Waited till 8:30, called the corporate office, and a guy actually yelled *at me* for calling and complaining. Went to Smog King down the road and got in right away without being treated like dirt. read more

There was nothing wrong with my car. The first time I went to check, they said the car was not ready and would not pass it. They said the second time would be free. The second time I checked it with a car code reader, all the items on the car were ready, but when I went to their store, they wanted to charge $8.5, casually saying that the car was not ready, and would not let the car pass, and asked the car to run more. I changed stores and they passed it immediately. I still had to go to this store to waste time and money read more

The $10 off yelp check in came out to be in $59 for the smog check and was done in about 10 to 15 minutes They were quick and efficient and very polite ! Hassle, free people, and I definitely recommend them read more

I've been going here for years but decided to finally write a review. I was a walk-in on a weekday around 11 am and realized that I had forgotten my DMV paperwork at home in my rush to leave the house. I told them that, and they said no problem. They had me in the system already. The guy next to me had also heard my situation and said he too had forgotten his paperwork. But it was his first time here that day, so he obviously wasn't in the system. But regardless the staff here was able to take care of him. I waited no longer than 20-25 min from start to finish, and I was in and out without any issues. I checked in to Yelp and got $10 off during my visit as well. The pricing is reasonable for a smog check here. Thank you so much to this location for taking care of my car smog checks for years without any problems. read more

Terrible communication! Poor English! Filthy dirty facility! Rude employees. Was told by manager to get emissions tag to smog vehicle. Paid $30 and waited 2 weeks for tag. Returned to smog and they denied a test. read more

You check in and they tell you it's $59.99. When your car is done you then tell them you have the $10 coupon from their website and they tell you it's still $59.99. Surprisingly they already applied the coupon even though they didn't know you had it. They even have it on their paperwork that it's $69.99 and they magically take off $10 for everyone. So it's a dishonest gimmick to trick people into thinking they're getting a deal. Plenty of other places out there. read more

Very quick and reasonable prices. Their prices are better than most of the other smog check services nearby. read more

Pretty sad that they don't know how to drive stick shift cars and have to rely on the manager. Ended up going to somewhere else

The techs were very rude and kept interrupting me. Entire place was completely filthy and unorganized. They looked up diagrams for my vehicle on GOOGLE instead of a certified database. Then proceeded to fail my vehicle based on the WRONG ENGINE. Completely incompetent and don't know basics about vehicles. Also denied the fact that after I got my car back from them, smoke was pouring out the tailpipe at idle (my vehicle has never had oil or emission issues). They are rude and disrespectful, highly DONT recommend bringing any vehicle here read more

Always good service! Bambi has retired... well wishes young lady! Having brought my last four vehicles to this place, I don't see a reason why I would go anywhere else. Cheers, CO read more

This by far the worst smog place ever. I had a VW Jetta and these guys maybe either had a vengeance to fail cars or a pure lack of technical knowledge. The used a mirrored scope to go under the engine covers, saw a intricately shaped PCV valved and failed my smog. With a note that the "crushed PCV valve" It took me hours to purchase a new and original VW valve and unopened in wrapper and showed it to them that the design from the original was angular and not straight tube. Refused to refund, I then took the car to another location and it passed without any issues. I have to say this is an old incident, before COVID, but please avoid these scammers and idiots if you can. Lot's of SMOG stations around to choose from read more

First time here. They kicked a wire loose under the dash and claimed it was like that when I drove in. It was not. Refused to plug it back in. Now my fog lights don't work. Guess I'll have to fix it myself. Recommend you go elsewhere if at all possible. To submit your review, please select a star rating for this business. I guess you can't give zero stars. If possible I'd give minus stars. Probably won't ever go back. Recommend Folsom Smog Test Only near City Hall. Never had a problem with them but they were closed. read more

Do not go here if you have had any problems with a catalytic converter! Ours was stolen years ago and an alternate model replacement was installed (approved by CARB at the time). However, it was not an exact match. I knew this going in and told him before things started. They did their test and failed only because it was not an exact match. Rather than verify that the catalytic converter was approved the young man at the counter said to take it elsewhere, but still insisted I pay for the test. Absolutely no customer service! I took it elsewhere and it was validated and passed. read more

My car failed first go round. They were upfront and helpful. Passed the second time. They are better than the evil lady on Natoma! read more

These people are awful. They will look for ANY reason to fail your smog test no matter how inconsequential. Take your business elsewhere, I recommend Smog King. read more

Zero COVID precautions being taken here. Disappointing. No staff wearing masks, including in the tiny cashiers room or inside your car. Reusing pens without sanitizing. Two stars for a fast service turnaround, but this business can do better. read more

Deserves a one star. They are running SCAM!!! The car passes smog but they said that they can't find the number for the exhaust manifold and still make you pay. It is not my problem they can't find the number. DO NOT GO HERE to get you car smoged!!!!! read more

Expensive $59.75+$8.25 =$68. $58 if you use $10 coupon. i only came here because another place i had coupon for ,referred me to go here because i needed a star smog place.. i was told this place was competive prices with them but that was not the case. Other place was only $38.75+$8.+$1.25=$48 I still used this place cus i wasn't going to drive to another place . The service was good very nice place and gentlemen at counter was nice. read more

If you could give no stars I would. The car passed the smog test, but because they couldn't get the number off the exhaust manifold, they wouldn't pass the car. Come to find out, they have done this to several other people we know. They still make you pay, even though it's their fault they can't get the number. This car has passed smog many times. They are running a SCAM! DO NOT PATRONIZE THIS BUSINESS!!!!! read more
