The service man Thomas (El Dorado Hills) was professional, friendly & excellent at his job. Didn't even have to wait long... Would recommend this place for getting your Smog done. read more

Back again to smog check one of our cars. We keep coming back because ...it is super easy to make an appointment online (with an appointment the work is done accurately and quickly within 20 minutes); the technicians are down to earth; the waiting room is clean and comfortable (they have AC and free wifi); and the quality of work is great. It cost ~$81 before applying a $20 coupon. I paid $61. The coupon is on their website and like it or not you need to print it out to redeem it. Print as in real paper and ink. Once you become a customer, they will snail mail you coupons which currently are $20 off. read more

They always have the best customer service and they are always professional. I love how quickly they smog your car and you are on your way!

Great service by Nico P.! Highly recommend Smog King La Borgata for your next smog test.

Prime location, great prices, and most importantly, wonderful and friendly service! The workers are rad and friendly, and clear with what they'll need from you and the wait times! Fast service as well. Clean lobby, complimentary coffee, and this location is nearby lots of restaurants like Sky Sushi and the Vine, Raley's, and Taco Bell/Jack in the Box! Highly recommend to anyone looking them up here on Yelp, as I also recommend to friends and family all the time! Smog King rocks, whether it's this one, or any of their other locations. read more

Great experience at Smog King on Park St in EDH! Kadin is am amazing employee! He is very fast and efficient! Thank you Kadin read more

I used them a few times the last couple years and they are they have been great each time. Friendly employees and easy to schedule

This place rocks. Quick service, coffee magazines and water while you wait. No bathroom on site fyi.. They always have coupons available so check for those! $68 after using a coupon for a smog on a 2006 Jeep TJ. No more than a 15 minute wait for us this recent trip. Strangely enough they have begun asking for tips when you pay. Of all the places to have a tip screen, the smog place is the last one I'd expect. Besides that, place is perfect. Attendants are always extremely nice and efficient with their work. For local reviews or travel content you can find us on most socials @sunsetourist read more

Smog King - Smog Check Stations Near Me - El Dorado Hills, California

Wow... this is one hella smog check business! Like any good Elite Yelper would do, I did my homework and read the reviews when I was deciding where to take my vehicle for smog certification. It was a no-brainer, as they say. SMOG KING definitely lives up to its name. Steven was professional, courteous, and fast. How efficient is this business to enable online appointment scheduling. Easy, professional website, too. Even received an appointment reminder text! I certainly liked that. Made an appointment last night at home, and here I sit in the air-conditioned office with complimentary wifi writing my 5-star Yelp review. By the way, I highly recommend making an appointment. Four separate people came in with no appointment. Which means they will be waiting. A very welcoming, clean office it is. I would go as far as saying a very pleasant, well decorated one, too. Furniture matches. Something you do not encounter often (or ever) in this type of business. Keurig coffee machine also. Wow! I kind of wish it was not 101 degrees or was early in the morning, so I wanted a cup...lol. But there is a large water cooler too. Nice! Magazines and even live plants. Two really big windows bring in a lot of light and make it interesting because you can look outside! So, back to that smog certificate. She passed with flying colors! Yay... I guess I will keep her for another year.:) There is a generous $20 discount coupon on the website. Be sure to PRINT and bring it with you to qualify for the discount. All positives at this location in El Dorado Hills. I will definitely hit them up again when I need another certification. Thanks, Steven! You rock. Had me out in 15 minutes. You work extremely hard. You were manning the bizz solo and providing great customer service all the while. SMOG KING has additional locations. Check out their website for a location near you! Thanks again! read more

I don't think anyone likes having to smog check their vehicle, but at least this place makes it simple, easy and quick. I have taken both our cars in twice and left feeling happy and satisfied every time. Each time I went, I did so without an appointment and it took no longer than about 20-30 minutes to get it done. I have been told that their price may be higher than other smog check locations, but given my repeat positive experiences, I really don't care. The staff is friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Be sure you bring your registration letter you get in the mail to make the process go as smoothly as possible. read more

I came in to smog my Lexus and had some of the best customer service I've ever had. The wait wasn't too long, and the seating was comfy. It's a small place tucked away in the back of the parking lot, backed up to a green belt. It's a dead zone if you have T-mobile, so bring something to read. Great service, I will be back. They have coupons for extra value, print it out before you go for affordable price. They have a tipping option, which I thought was strange, but it seems to be keeping up the morale of the employees because they enthusiastically provide service. And because the service was extra good, I felt compelled to tip. The system is working! read more

Very pleasant and friendly customer service. Made room for my appointment same day. Green Valley was a convenient location for me. This is for the Park Drive location. Tried calling La Borgata and was placed on hold. Appointments choice of location, booking and appointment duration was based on car age, and easy to navigate online. Discount coupon may also be available online. read more

professional, knowledgeable, helpful! would recommend to anyone. great experience. only smog shop i will use.

We live in the South Bay but were up in the Folsom area to visit friends and decided to get our Toyota Highlander smog checked at Smog King. Steven was super courteous, gave us an appointment and honored the appointment with no waiting when we showed up. He even referred us to show the $20 off coupon on the website, after we asked him about any specials. The waiting area was comfortable, cold water, coffee machine and free Wi-Fi. Steven finished the smog in 20mins and the certificate was sent directly to DMV. Very happy with this bussiness! Highly recommend! read more

Smog King - Main checkin counter - Smog Check Stations Near Me - El Dorado Hills, California

My husband told me about this place and he sent me in with a coupon to use. Be sure to print it out or you will not get the discount. The nice gentleman that was there greeted me outside and you can see him running back and forth moving cars in and out. He was so fast and efficient and I was pleasantly surprised. My husband actually went to the one where the purple place used to be. He was very pleased with the customer service there. I can't speak on value here because I lived in Cleveland Ohio and smog checks are free because of the different laws and regulations. I definitely would recommend these two places! read more

Friendly, professional and FAST! Super easy online appointments too. Highly recommend!

Customer service was excellent. The guy that helped me was friendly and courteous. The office was clean and tidy.

Great service, super fast! I drove in without an appointment and was able to drive out 20 minutes later. Great spot!

I have a very low, older car that requires a "sniff test" on the rollers to ensure It's meeting emissions requirements. Like most car enthusiasts, I'm pretty particular with how my car is treated when in the care of others. Steven was awesome and gave me and my car the white glove service and was very careful from pulling it into the bay to running the OBD reader to the in-car port. I can't rave enough about how he treated my car as if it were a priceless classic or high dollar exotic. Thank you Steven! See you in another 2 years! read more

Brought my car in after an issue with a different smog check station in Folsom. I got there a quarter to closing on a Friday and Nico was very courteous and didn't hesistate to help me out. The whole process took 15 minutes and was $68 with the online coupon (make sure you print and bring it with you). Easy online appointment booking if you prefer that route. Highly recommend. read more

Fast and easy by appointment! Fortunately, my car passed its smog check and I was able to pay for my registration (ouch).

Went for smog check and would not accept coupon on my phone. This place sucks, go somewhere else.

I made an appointment and everything went perfectly. The guy started on time. He was courteous and professional. The waiting room was pleasant. The car PASSED. And he finished on time. Good place. I'll be back for future smog checks. read more

The staff here is great. Really friendly and efficient. It was end of day and I called only a half hour before closing and he made time to get my car in. I really appreciate his willingness to SMOG my car at the last minute, he could have easily told me "come back tomorrow." Plenty of parking, easy to find, and took care with my car when moving the vehicles in and out of the garage bay. Highly recommended. read more

I do not recall the gentleman name that helped me, but I remember the awesome service I received the first time I came here and 2 years flew by quick because I needed another smog check. I didn't realize this until I showed up to AAA on the last day to pay my registration, they still weren't open yet so I paid online and it said it was incomplete because I needed a smog check; I went on Smog kings site and made an appointment same day. When I arrived, I didn't realize I booked it for the wrong location, ha! But the employee was super sweet and said he would squeeze me in, I was in and out in less than 20 minutes. They have amazing service and the guys have always been so kind! I'll definitely be coming back and highly recommended them to everyone :) read more

Used Smog King on Green Valley in the past. Arrived right after they opened. John (the older gentleman) as some reviews said. (Nikki Z), was very helpful and did strike up conversation.
