Smog Check Pros - Smog Check - Smog Check Stations Near Me - Van Nuys, California

I called in advance to see if walk-ins are okay or if an appointment was needed due to covid and sure enough walk-ins were okay, major plus! I arrived to facility within 15 minutes and had one person already being assisted (minimum only waited about 10-15 minutes). Once it was my turn the technician quickly brought in my vehicle and began the smog check process. Very friendly and professional unlike another place I visited first (N&J Smog Test | just plain ol rude). My vehicle was completed within 20 minutes and for the price I could t believe, only $48! If you're looking for a smog check then Smog Check Pros is the place to go. Appreciate the communication and professionalism that was presented. Thank you for assisting and definitely recommend to all for a great service! read more

Easy, fast, friendly. Popped right in, he took me right away, and got to work. Honestly could not have had a better experience. He didn't mind that my 2 pups were in the car, too. :) read more

Very friendly and fast service, I was there less than 30 minutes. Defenitlety recommend this place

Took my older Jeep wrangler to get smog tested because I needed to register it. Fantastic, fast service. Highly recommend.

The smog check was done in less than half an hour and they offered the best price. I liked that I didn't need an appointment.

Outstanding service. Professional, reliable, and efficient. Great value with Groupon.

The person working the smog was very politely and informative. In person he is also very kind. The smog check was very fast. Parking can be difficult but you basically Tetris your way in. There is also a seating area read more

Called before I came to make an appointment. No answer and mail box full. Drove there and stood around for five minutes while they talked to each other or were on the phone. No greeting. No one said we'll be with you soon. I waited for awhile and then left. Guess they don't need the business read more

This place is very quick and efficient. Really good service. My dad recommended this place.

Fast service, positive attitude, pleasure to visit. I have been bringing all my cars here for many years. Highly recommend!

Dropped in to get a smog check. Saro was super nice! There were just a few other cars waiting, but I felt I was in and out quickly! Smog certificate is electronically sent to DMV, so will make registration easy! Thanks Saro!! read more

Found this place on Yelp and it did not disappoint. I was able to go during my lunch time (1pm). I was 3 cars back when I arrived, but somehow he was able to get thru each of our cars and I was able to hit the Taco Bell drive thru before my hour lunch was up. Very Cool! read more

In and out, 20 minutes tops. No joke. I barely got to enjoy relaxing on their comfy, leather couch. I didn't get the gentleman's name, but he was very friendly and professional. This place makes me wonder why I ever waited over half hour at other stations. I suggest to come early though. While they're located at a very convenient spot, they are on one of The Vallley's most congested streets so that could potentially make leaving a challenge if you come in midday. read more

Super friendly and helpful. Fast service. Fair price. Highly recommend Smog Check Pros.

I called Smog Check Pros ahead of time. Saro answered and advised of the current queue and wait times. I timed my visit perfectly thanks to him. Once there he handled everything efficiently. The whole process was quick. Payment was seamless too. I used a credit card. His prices are VERY reasonable. Since it's close, efficient and reasonably priced, I'll be back. read more

I really wanted to give him a 5 star but unfortunately this is not the case. Showed up with DMV documents he tested the car and said it needed a repair. Took the car to the repair shop and returned for the smog test again. This was where Saro said it wasn't done and didn't see the code he needed to pass the smog. He even handed over the small mirror over for us to look under the car. We returned to the shop where we had the car repaired, mechanic lifted the car and showed us the part and code. So here we go back to the smog shop and let Saro know where to look, showed him pictures and explained only after all this running around and showing him ourselves with pictures did he pass the smog. And as for great customer service, I beg to differ! read more

I purchased a used car from a private seller. I needed the car to get a smog check before I went to the D.M.V., so I could change the car to my name. Anywho, looked up Yelp and this place came highly recommended. So I came to Smog Check Pros. Quick, professional and very friendly. read more

Fantastic service and super quick and affordable! Whole thing took only 15 minutes! Would definitely recommend.

Great service. The gentleman that helped me was kind and the smog check was very fast. No surprise fees - the price that he told me over the phone was the price I got charged. Will be coming here for smog checks from now on. read more

Best price. They are always busy, so you'll have to wait, but the actual inspections are fast.

Fast, easy and efficient! Plus they gave me a coupon. Definitely recommend. They sent the certificate right to the DMV

Ready and able to do your smog check! I had to have a STAR station inspection, and I had no problem getting it here!

Fast and friendly. 45.00 did the job on a weekend drop in. I called first. Cant wait to go again in two years.

This pandemic has reminded me the importance of supporting local businesses. Stopped by to get my car smogged. Easy, fast, good service. I highly recommend them. read more

First time here ! Found this place on Yelp. It turns out I need a smog check. Quick and easy. Idk if he's the owner but he seems to be the only one here. Maybe cause they close at 4pm. He is kind and professional. Oh and it's only 45.00 for a smog check and free retest! Walks ins are ok. read more

My experience here was great. The service was insanely fast - even with 2 people ahead of me, I was in and out in under 30 minutes. It was also super affordable and convenient because they send your results to the DMV for you. I feel awful that I can't remember his name, however the gentleman who assisted me was so nice. He was polite and kind and professional. Definitely recommend! read more

The customer service was great however three stars because of the dubious Yelp coupon. The charges are supposed to be $35 after the $10 coupon and the charges were still $45 even though I checked in. Unless I misunderstood the coupon, which begs the point that it could have been clearer. That being said, I'll certainly go there next time for my needs. read more

Third time is the charm but it was definitely worth the extra hassle. I went yesterday afternoon hoping that I could get my smog check out the of way since my registration is due but the computer system was down. I tried again in the afternoon and it was still down. I decided to go back this morning and luckily it was working. They had started some of the paperwork for me from the day before so the wait was practically non-existent. There was a $10 discount for mentioning yelp bringing the total for $45. The service was exceptional! He even filled my tires with air! I hate having to get my smog checked every two years, but at least the process is easy, quick and hassle free as they send the results directly to the DMV. Will definitely recommend this place to my family and friends in the San Fernando Valley area. read more

Quick and professional service. Had a few cars before me and I was a little discouraged thinking it was gonna take forever. The rep came over to acknowledge me and ask what I needed for today. Asked for dmv paperwork and asked for me to wait. I could see him hustling and multitasking . He was so quick I didn't wait long for my turn. Glad I stayed and waited. Thanks! read more

Been having my car smog checked here for years. Still very fast and efficient would highly recommend.
