I've had glasses where the coating remained in good shape for 5+ years, but now these are unwearable after 2. Went to a new optician and then found out the frames were way too small, with the temples bowed way out as they reached my ears. At $800, the price paid was exorbitant in relation to the fitting and longevity/quality of the service. Never returning here.

I recently decided to try a different location that is closer to my workplace, but I could have never anticipated how unpleasant the experience would be. Today, April 24, 2025, at 12:58 PM, I received a call from an associate asking for my insurance information. I responded, "I was under the impression that my information would carry over." Instead of a courteous reply, the associate--who was audibly chatting with someone else while speaking to me--responded in a shockingly rude tone: "If I had that, I would not be calling." I do not believe my question warranted such an unprofessional and disrespectful response. As a result, I canceled my appointment. I refuse to accept that kind of treatment, especially over such a simple and reasonable question. This experience has left me deeply disappointed and genuinely regretting my decision to try a different location. I am now seriously reconsidering my continued relationship with Visionworks. This was not acceptable. Not at all.

I visited to get my eye exam, prescription, and new glasses…read more The process of the exam and picking the frames was great but when I had to come back to pick them up things were not so great. I got a call to pick up my frames and I asked if I could have my prescription when I picked them up and was told yes. I arrive and get my frames and only one of the two is ready. And they also have no print out and am told I'll get it when I pick up the other frames. I get a call to pick up the other frames and confirm the print out will be ready. The print out was not ready and I had to wait for it. I asked for my PD and was told no. I asked why not and the employee told me it changes depending on the glasses. This made no sense to me because it is the distance between my pupils and that doesn't change. I also mentioned how when I got my two pairs of glasses from that very store they only measured my PD on one frame because it's the same. I asked how that was. She said they had a machine and it knows what to do. I asked how it worked and she said that's why we have machines. She begrudgingly wrote down my PD and said she added a note to the file that she is not liable if I use it and it's wrong. I feel as if she kept just saying stuff to placate me and get me to move on and I don't appreciate that. What she was saying did not make sense to me. I paid for an eye exam and prescription and my PD should be included. Additionally, the two times I went in to pick up frames she seem flustered and kept going on about how busy she was. And I wish they would leave a message when I missed the phone call. I like the frames I bought but probably won't be coming back, to this location at least

He was very patient while my son tried on several different frames. Finally found one that was perfect. The price was right and the turnaround time for the glasses was about a week. I went back a second time when my prescription changed and meet with someone else who was great as well. And once again about a week turnaround time and this was durning a holiday weekend so I assume it would be longer but it wasn't. This place has so many kids frame to chose from. The waits are beyond excessive and, frankly, ridiculous. No matter the appointment time, you should expect to sit for a long stretch before being seen. What's especially frustrating is that they are very efficient when it comes to collecting your copay immediately upon arrival, yet there is no comparable urgency when it comes to respecting the patient's time afterward. After checking in and paying, you're left waiting--sometimes moving from room to room--without any clear communication or explanation. I'm not commenting on the doctors' medical competence, as I expect physicians to be knowledgeable and capable in their field, and in that regard there were no major issues. Personality-wise, the providers were fine and professional enough. That said, patient experience is more than just clinical skill. Time management and respect for scheduled appointments matter, and this office consistently falls short in that area.
