I am a 78 year old woman and I ,wish to SPEAK to a person before committing myself to an appointment at the location that I have been trying to call but the phone number keeps getting deferred to another listing of sorts-- which I will not comply with-- why is it Not possible to get in touch with an associate at that location-- another question is can a person just walk in for an eye exam or is it the ONLY way to have an appointment is to register on line-- in my opinion-- just not a great way to have or do customer service for the elderly-- if I happen to get a response from this review--that would be great-- but if not --then just like all big "concerns" it falls on deaf ears-- or should I say text messages-- and the only reason why it's just a one star rating is because-- I am not able to speak to a Human Being and I honestly haven't been seen at any of the Americas Best Eyeglass locations-- have a nice day--

No one told me they would have to be polycarbonate and all the extras they included that weren't disclosed. I really feel played. What a shame.

I took good care of them, so this is clearly a manufacturing defect with the lens coating. When I went back to the store for help, they completely brushed me off. They told me that because I didn't buy their extra retail warranty, my only option is to pay out of pocket for a brand-new pair. It is completely unacceptable that a company refuses to stand behind the basic quality of a $300 product for even a single year. I ordered a frame.. everything was good, but when I went to pick it up it was not the frame I had ordered. Luckily I had taken a picture of the frame I had ordered and showed them. That's when the attitude started. They blamed it on there dealer. They offered me a replacement from a lousy selection. There are no price tags on the frames so I could not even argue. I had paid through my insurance therefore it was hard to cancel the order. The second time I went to pick up the frame it was yet another frame that I had never ordered. They just handed over the frame to me and went behind the counter to avoid me. I am always in favor of small businesses but incidents like this make me think twice. I was a customer at big franchise and never had a problem like this before. STAY AWAY!!!

I guess there's no medicine to clear it up. But, my score is as a spectator of the following, who may/may not return: I drove someone here for dilation. I was told to inquire about an upgraded procedure that costs $30 extra-well worth it. I asked the front-desk staff, she told me to ask the treating staff. I told her I was asking her, so we could find out the fees & pay for it. She was useless & made no attempt to find out. Registration - all pts are sent to the kiosk. I did it for the patient. We waited about 20 minutes then were called in. I stayed in the lobby for the show! In walks a patient (most were elderly); she was w/someone, who helped her at the kiosk. Had they bit their tongue, I might've offered to help - but I didn't want their smoke . This woman let them have it so well - the fact that they wouldn't bill her the copayment, she couldn't register at the kiosk w/o help, she said she's there because she can't see! I mean, the front desk was useless & the lead or mgr justified their laziness. She showed no care for the patient. Hopefully they fix their issues. You should be extra gentle with the elder community. And more helpful when it comes to using the advanced technology. The staff at the front desk should be ashamed.
