John is a good salesman, but not a good optician. Found out about a year and a few months later that the anti-reflective coating was coming off the inside of the lenses, but they were out of warranty. I've had glasses where the coating remained in good shape for 5+ years, but now these are unwearable after 2. Went to a new optician and then found out the frames were way too small, with the temples bowed way out as they reached my ears. At $800, the price paid was exorbitant in relation to the fitting and longevity/quality of the service. Never returning here. read more

Omg John is the nicest man! He fitted me and my grandma and mother in law with new glasses. He is kind and caring and helpful. The prices are reasonable and the selection is amazing. I have a tendency of falling asleep with my glasses on. john never complains when i have to have them adjusted. In fact, he is always helpful and happy and talkative. I cannot say enough good things about John and the staff here. Every time the service is above and beyond, personalized, accommodating, helpful. I have gotten glasses and contacts from them for several years now and have been happier than any other place I have ever been. First time I came in with broken glasses and a strapped budget. He found a clearance set of frames that he adapted just enough to fit my lenses into until I was ready to invest in new glasses. Every shop I have been to is so particular about the frames working perfect but John accommodated my insurance and anything he could to make it work for my life. He is an Ode to what opticians used to be. His heart is like gold in his true desire to help people. Visited Aristocraft based on good Yelp reviews on a recent Saturday. I found the counter staff friendly and helpful. However, the store became somewhat crowded and there was little social distancing. John, the proprietor, attended to me and my wife. He seemed okay at first. He quickly grew impatient while we tried different glasses. In my opinion, his impatience grew as more people entered the store. In addition, his tone, in my opinion, was tinged with a combination of smugness and haughtiness. I have my old pair of lenses brought here and they ask me to sit and wait and have it cut perfectly fitting in my new frame. Just took me about 10 mins. The lab is actually in the store. Not a lot optical store provides such services. read more

I was looking for a new pair of Maui Jim sunglasses and had tried several locations & boutiques. Upon arrival I was immediately greeted by a very courteous and helpful staff. This was my first time at this location and I was very impressed. I found a pair of glasses that fit, but needed them tighter. One gentleman, was very knowledgeable and made a quick adjustment to the frame. Wow, what a difference, a perfect fit! I plan to go back again in future. 100% recommend. read more

Had a great experience here. The optometrist was great and the exam went well. The optician , John was wonderful helping me pick out glasses and was super helpful fitting them when I picked them up. He is such a pleasure to deal with, from the choosing of the eyewear, to making appts. with his in-house doctor. wow this place is awesome. just stopped in here on a whim because i was in the neighborhood and have needed to get the sunglasses my wife bought me online adjusted. i felt bad going in and asking for this since the glasses weren't bought here. when i went in, i was greeted and seen very quickly. the optician took my sunglasses in the back and fixed them right up so that they fit perfectly. i wanted to pay for this but he insisted there was no need, and even threw me some free eyeglass cleaner on the house. great place and i'll definitely be back when in need! read more

Walking into Aristocraft Opticians was one of the best things I had done. My friend who was in the middle of a medical emergency needed a quick solution. She works in the same strip mall as this store and when I was visiting her she was really in a bad way. Without disclosing her medical information I knew I had to act fast. Her eyes were so sensitive to the light that it was making it impossible for her to work. I asked her, do you have a pair of sunglasses with you...she didn't. I did but mine were prescription, no help. We went in and spoke to John, the owner, and let me tell you that he is a godsend. Not only was he sensitive to her needs but he was caring enough to go the extra mile for her. He let her try on several sunglasses to see which was comfortable and then gave her the glasses to go back to her store to check them with the lighting. We went back to him saying that the lenses were alittle off...he actually popped out the lenses, cut new ones for her and brought it over to the store for her to try. It was perfect! My friend and I have never been more grateful for the generosity of this man. He never took money from her!! He refused! It makes you believe there are some good people left in this world! Moral of the story is, I wear glasses and I will never go anywhere else! And by the way, he has GREAT frames!!! I can't say enough about John. The owner. I bought a pair of glasses over nine years ago from John. Frames finally started giving away and broke. John actually lent me an old pair that my lenses fit in so that I can get them repaired. After a while the repair finally gave out and I chose to get new glasses. John went above and beyond with the doctor in house, getting and fitting me for the glasses.
