This morning, my daughter was unwell and still sleeping, so I called the office to see if I could reschedule my appointment -- not cancel -- because I didn't feel right waking a sick child and bringing her into a dental office. The woman who answered the phone, Emily, was extremely rude and unkind. I was immediately told I would be charged a $50 fee, despite explaining the situation and that I was simply hoping to move the appointment. When I asked about rescheduling, I was told the earliest availability wouldn't be until the end of January, which was surprising since I was told just the day before that there was plenty of availability. I apologized multiple times and explained that January was too far out given the pain I'm experiencing and that I'd need to call back. The response was a curt "okay, sounds good," followed by the call being abruptly ended. Compassion and understanding go a long way, especially when patients are in pain and dealing with sick children. Unfortunately, this interaction lacked both. Needless to say, I will not be returning.

Especially the hygienists, who are the best!!! I never had any issues with regular appointments/cleanings. I've also never written a negative review, but I think this experience is worth sharing in case it happens to help someone who reads it. At 19, I had two crowns placed after an accident/fall. One never felt right, and my gums continued bleeding when I flossed, but I was reassured that everything looked good when I followed up with my concerns. Years later, after switching dentists, I learned that the crown had been documented as ill-fitting by my new dentists and that the original X-ray from the day they were placed showed a prominent overhanging margin (x-ray attached to this review). This was never communicated to me. The overhang increases the risk of food getting trapped, plaque build-up, and the crown failing. In hindsight, I realize the warning signs for this was significant gum inflammation /bleeding every time I flossed, and my floss would even catch and shred on the overhanging ledge. None of this was normal, but I was only 19 and obviously not a dentist so why wouldn't I trust it was fine? At 26, seven years later, the crown randomly fell out (literally like a nightmare), taking the remaining tooth structure with it. There wasn't enough tooth left for another crown, and I needed an implant. I have great oral hygiene and I've never even had a cavity in my entire life so that was not a contributing issue here. I recognize that an undetected fracture may also have contributed to the crown's failure, but that doesn't change the documented fit issue present from day one. Given the overhanging margin visible on the original X-ray, the permanent crown should have been sent back to the lab to be refitted rather than accepted as it was, especially after I complained. I understand that crowns can fail, but I'm disappointed that my concerns weren't explained to me as warning signs and the overhang issue was never communicated to me. I also didn't realize how much subjectivity there could be in dental care. Every effort should be made to preserve natural tooth structure, especially in a 19-year-old. I would have been happy to pay for a replacement crown if I had even been told there was even the slightest doubt about the margins and fit of the crown. I wish I had read a review like this when I was younger. Please research the problems with your teeth before agreeing to care and advocate for yourself! Second opinions are crucial when it comes to expensive dentist treatments because it is very likely that 2 different dentists will offer 2 different (sometimes 2 completely different) treatment plans.

Absolutely zero empathy, and the response was "We don't have any new patient appointments until the end of August and we don't submit claims to medical insurance, and if you don't have out of network dental insurance we can't help you". I again explained I have cancer, and this is for medical clearance, and she just refused to listen to me. Rude and completely unprofessional. I live in California where dentists tell their clients to get unnecessary procedures done. Dr. Morris, fortunately, is not that type of dentist. She's honest, dependable, and professional.
