To the point that I put things off way too long because I would rather almost do anything than go to the dentist. I mean almost anything. Unfortunately, I had a terrible toothache and was forced to reach out for help. Chesapeake Smiles had good reviews, was close to my home and the photos looked great. I was able to be seen as an emergency patient the morning after I reached out. 24 hours after I was in the chair getting things fixed. I had a root canal and also temporary crown made. Pricing was very reasonable and the best part was that they were all very empathetic and respectful and patient with me! As someone who is frightened, Dr. Masood, the two different dental hygienists and the front desk staff were so understanding, kind and prompt. Most of the time I feel like dentists are very accusatory and a bit judgemental (could very much be my personal perception of course) but, no one here was. It felt safe, respectful and understanding about my fears. Thank you Chesapeake Smiles and Dr. Masood and staff for everything.

The staff is beyond wonderful. I cannot say enough about them. So kind and reassuring. The absolute best. Dr. Niemann himself is so dang comforting, responsive and competent. He put this phobic completely at ease and let me tell you, that's hard to do. He told me jokes and was quite entertaining. They gave me a soft blanket and there was a tv overhead to distract me. This was such a positive experience for such a stressful procedure. You cannot go wrong with this doctor and the office in general. 100 golden stars.

As well as any doctor I have had. This time, the good doctor could not perform the traditional root canal. He determined that the crack in my tooth was too large for a crown to cover. He asked if I wanted him finish or stop and moved to another for extraction and replacement. I had no idea, having not had to make this decision before. I asked and he did not hesitate, let's top and proceed to extraction since the root canal and crown just won't last. Do it once. Now, Dr. Luzader probably could have advised me to the root canal, maximizing his financial experience. His staff speaks the highest of Dr. Luzader as an honorable businessman and leader. He clearly is quite skilled as a specialist, and we are lucky to have him in Annapolis. I cannot recommend Dr Luzader any higher, and thanks to the outstanding Dr Green for having these relationships available for recommendation when necessary.

He explained every step of the way what he was doing, he was gentle, thoroughly numbed the area and was an all around calming and grounding presence. I have had really traumatic experiences with dentists in the past, so the fact that I felt really safe in his hands meant so much to me. I'd also like to shout out his assistant, Savannah. She was warm and friendly. She instantly put me at ease. Even better, she was very swift and gentle throughout the imaging process. Another point worth mentioning, they were transparent about pricing from the beginning. I find many dental offices get a bit cagey when you ask what the cost is, but, if you're paying out of pocket that's obviously helpful to know! I really appreciate that they called and gave me an exact price upfront. Everything was done gently and expertly. Also, the office is really beautiful and I found the waiting room to be very cozy and refined. It provides a bit more for the eye than most other boring run-of-the-mill waiting rooms.
