I told her "oh sorry about that" she replied with a tone saying "it's fine". The vibe I got from her was extremely negative. It did seem like she was some type of manager, the way she was working trying to get something done and not giving customer service. I work in customer service as a store manager, that type of customer service will scare away customers, and is a huge No no for me. I would rather go to the store with less shoes. The only person that greeted and gave great customer service was the cashier.

First time coming to this DSW location and the staff are very friendly. They greet you when you enter the store and ask if you need help. Since my transaction was easy I just gave them my phone number and got my points right away. There are current sales right now and items with a green do is 50% off. So my shoe donations can be used on anything including clearance items. This makes it a super great deal. Took my time browsing for some new boots for Fall weather. They have new items in stock and if you don't find it in store you can order it to ship to your home or to the store for later pickup. That's why I like coming to DSW. Always a good time.

My husband was seeking for a comfortable and supportive pair of Hoka for work. My husband is a health care worker and his demanding job requires him to be on his feet for 8-16 hours on any given day (he often does double shifts and works two jobs). Maddie or Maddy (sorry if I am not spelling your name correctly) was absolutely wonderful. She was extremely professional and knowledgeable on the different types of shoe brands and different types of supportive insoles. She started with a scan of my husband's feet and it shows that my husbands feet is very flat and that he needs a shoe with supportive arch. Maddie and her partner who is also very professional and helpful pulled out multiple pairs of shoes for my husband to try on. They let him tried multiples brands of insoles that were comfortable and supportive based on his feet scans with the different shoes. My husband ended up ordering a pair of Hoka from this store that will be shipped to our home with Currex dynamic insole to help support his arch. I tried on the Birkenstock Arizona sandal and felt in love with the support and comfort it offered. Being pregnant right now, it's been difficult to find a pair of sandal that is cute and comfortable especially with the semi-swollen feet. Joe, the owner was so kind to take the time to show my husband some feet exercise to help with his plantar fasciitis even after store hours. Overall, we highly recommend this store to everyone. After leaving my information, the call immediately disconnected anyway. For a business selling premium running shoes, the communication experience was honestly ridiculous and frustrating. After hearing nothing, I called around 8:00 PM to check on the status. I was then told that the item had been sold earlier that morning and that my order would need to be canceled. What is especially frustrating is that my order was placed before the item was sold to someone else. Had the store processed online orders when they were received, the hat should have been set aside for my order instead of being sold to a later customer. Because my order was not handled in a timely manner, someone else was able to purchase the item that I had already paid for. On top of that, nobody contacted me all day to let me know there was an issue with my order. If the item was unavailable, I should have been notified immediately instead of having to call myself nearly 10 hours later. Had I been informed earlier, I could have made other arrangements. Unfortunately, this was a birthday gift for my dad, and now I am left scrambling to find a replacement at the last minute. I understand inventory mistakes can happen, but the lack of communication and failure to prioritize or properly process online orders was extremely disappointing. I hope the store improves its online order system and customer communication so future customers do not have the same experience.
