Now I understand why Yelp have a separate listing for the Yelp Elite event and for the venue of the event. Smashbox studios is strictly a venue for various functions, shows, exhibits, and other photo/film shoots that taken place at various days and at all hours. When I first stepped into this 2400 square feet open space of a studio, I was amazed how massive vast of a space with all sort of potentials can be done at this place. A few years back, I attended the invitation from Olympus America in introducing their new lines of products. What happened was in that Olympus has set up three different stages of photo shoots in three different area of the studio. It was so big of a space, they can accommodate about 50 people at each studio area of those particular fashion shoot. Olympus just wanted vendors, retailers, and others associated with photographic industries to test out their camera at each photo shoot. I had came back a few more times because of different visits to particular big photo shoots. It seemed like commercial photo shoots or big fashion photo sessions tends to be the type that would rent a day to shoot here. You can also get the idea that an art gallery exhibit can be shown here because of the vast floor space this studio can hold. It is a very high ceiling with wooden floor in an area they called it "light box". There is also an area that is just plain color white in terms of wall and floor that is called "Soft box" which is tend to be the area for photo shoots or video filming. Overall, it's a nice venue with limited parking with street parking just outside of the fence of this warehouse like venue. It can be a little hard to find this place because it's a little bit hidden behind with no huge attention attractor to let people know of this place unless a fashion show happened with throngs of people waiting to get in. I don't think it's fair to rate this place because of a fashion show or because of other events that would have taken place. Also the valet parking or the catering that you might come across to this place is in charge by the organizers of the event and have nothing to do with the Studios itself. Smashbox studios as stated above is strictly a venue that is rented or lease by the organizers of the events. Other amenities such as catering, booze, admissions, valet parking, merchandise selling are all done by the host of those said events. For the review of the place itself, it get 5 stars from me. All the other events I have ever attended here always get 2-3 stars from me too, but I don't hold the studio any grudge on that. Found one of the viral "love walls". It's right on the corner. When using mapquest, you almost miss it. Easy to park and take a picture without having to step in the street Or anything

If you didn't know her work, it's the most fun, colorful and happy art at the intersection of Impressionism, portals and optical illusion, where you squint your eyes and each segment of color is like a pixel in a tapestry of interwoven color and texture. The vibe was amazing ing and I just had to go see this art and support this artist. I arrived and found an entire treasure trove of fascinating art by dozens of artists. Each style is unique and well worth coming by. Imagine walking through a museum of the most amazing only talented artists and all the art is for sale. I bought two pieces. One of Shiri's of course. The art is reasonably priced and there are many different sizes. I highly recommend Artspace Warehouse for some of the best talent in the L.A. art world. The staff is wonderful and extremely helpful and full of knowledge about each and every artist, the types of art and our chats were so chill- no pretentious vibes here. Just joy. This was really a thrill to see locals, families choosing art for their homes, and people like me who came a bit of a distance to share the art experience here. I highly recommend Artsoace warehouse.

It is a nice convenient location with easy parking options. I attended their Luke Chueh "The Prisoner" release event, debuting his Oxycontin designer toy sculptured figure and limited edition lithograph art print on 02/25/17 Saturday from 5pm-9pm. The owner met and greeted guests, as a very friendly and gracious host. The celebrity artist, Luke Chueh signed autographs for every collector and fans in attendance. It was a very well organized event. This location is nicely designed, not like a retail store, and in fact I am not even sure if it's considered a traditional brick and mortar presence than a home to host special events like an art gallery with signings and special events, not being open to the public on a walk-in basis more so than by public notice for events or maybe appointments. So, I would call first to inquire. According to the Munky King website: Munky King started from humble beginnings in 2003 with a quaint little shop in Chinatown, Los Angeles, the first of its kind in Southern California. After expanding to a gallery and flagship store on Melrose, we continued to fuel the passions of the genre with art shows, signings, releases and special events. In 2012, we've moved on from brick-and-mortar retail to focus on expanding our line of toys and working with companies and artists to develop their own products from our production studio/showroom. If you or your business are looking for an innovative environment to set up shop, we invite you to consider Munky King's new creative complex. With the aim of creating a community of like-minded artists, designers, and entrepreneurs, we are offering private spaces at reasonable rates, featuring... * Conference rooms, spacious gallery, stocked kitchen, comfy lounge * Private studios and workstations * Short or long term leases * High-speed internet * Security * Adjacent to great restaurants in thriving neighborhood * Convenient to public transportation and freeways

Their open spaces are bright, modern, and inviting. The office space we rented had lots of natural light and was furnished with quality items. Every place should have motorized, standing desks as their default option! The amenities were really wonderful. Sparkling water on tap, periodic wellness classes for member engagement, easy to use a/v in the conference spaces, snacks and meals provided periodically... you really feel appreciated and taken care of. Most importantly, the dynamic duo of Ashley and Ashley make Studio a wonderful place to be. They are responsive, attentive, accommodating, engaging, and really just two of the nicest people you will meet. We did our best to try to stay at Studio but unfortunately, there was just not a good fit for our unique needs as an organization but rest assured, we are sad to be leaving.

Plus Ashley L is so efficient and friendly even when multiple things are clamoring for her attention at the same time. They have lockers too, in case you're paranoid like me and don't like leaving your stuff out when you take a stroll outside (but you 100% can, and many do). Of course, I accidentally locked myself out of the locker I chose and was thoroughly embarrassed by my distracted goof, but Ashley was so nice about resetting it for me. She's the reason why this is my favorite spot, and not just one of my top 3 spots!
