And yes, I will sound prissy in some of my reasons. I am a huge priss. Can't say that I like that about myself! Pros 1. Beautiful lofts, with upstairs loft space. (Not just a big box.) 2. Brick walls and exposed pipes. Gorgeous! 3. Laundry w/in units. 4. Good sized pool compared to others we've seen in DTLA. 5. Nicely designed community areas. 6. Easy access to parking. Parking price included in rent. 7. Easy access to mailboxes. 8. Amazing gym, as the owner is a personal trainer. 9. Almost built a restaurant/market on-site. Wish that went through. It may still.. may still? 10. Urth Caffe right around the corner. 11. Gun Range next door! 12. Overall great artsy feeling. 13. Anthony. Insert Shout out to Anthony - He's the man who showed us around. He's amazing. He in himself was a huge selling point! We also got to meet the owner. Nice small community/neighborhood feel. Cons for me 1. Didn't really see many people in walking around the place. It was a Saturday afternoon and no one was using the pool or the community area. Made me feel lonely. 2. Really quiet community. 3. Views outside of windows aren't that great. 4. Didn't like driving up to the place. In the factory part of DTLA. Seems cool, but it felt lonely to me. 5. Refrigerators not provided. (small thing. really.) 6. Kind of pricey for what you get. (but I could also say that for all the lofts we've seen.) 7. Even though it's really not that far from DTLA and Little Tokyo, it seemed like it was.

They take care of the buildings and are on your side, a lot of people stay there for many years and I'm sure the management is a big part of that. The place is quiet and people who live there are nice and friendly. I worked from home and found it perfect for me. The area is great and getting better, never felt like the neighborhood was bad, and the secure parking is huge in downtown.

ARTime BARRO is part pottery studio, part community space, and is a relaxing, chill place where you can unleash the creativity you thought was dead, where your artistic spirit gets to come out to play, if only for just a little bit of time in this crazy world. On a recent weekend, I had the opportunity to take the One-Time Class, which is a one-hour course designed for complete beginners. You get to make two pieces, one by hand at the table and one on the pottery wheel. The class size was small (just 5 people) and we got great 1:1 instruction and guidance from our knowledgeable instructor Max. I've always wanted to try the wheel and was surprised how hard it was to use it but it was such a great experience that I think everyone should try at least once. After you sculpt your pieces, you are invited to come back to hand paint (glaze) your work at no additional cost. You can also have them do a one-color glaze for you, but after I saw all the multi-colored pieces of other folks previous to me, it was no contest to decide that I wanted to color my pieces myself. You have up to 3 months to come back to glaze so it's very doable in anyone's busy LA (corporate) lifestyle. Pricing was very reasonable for such a cool bespoke experience. There are a lot of pottery painting studios (e.g. Color Me Mine) but this is awesome bc you get to make the pottery AND color it later! I've already recommended this place to countless people!

Our instructor was friendly and gave clear directions on how to mold our pieces. We each made 2 pieces, so the one hour really flew by. We had the option to come back to glaze our pieces or have the studio glaze them for us, and opted for the latter. There's a small lot behind the building, but it was full when I went. It wasn't difficult to find free street parking on a Sunday evening in this area. The pottery pieces could use a bit of extra care in handling (my wheel-thrown piece had rough edges and a random piece stuck on that wasn't there initially, and the glazing didn't look thorough on my other piece), but overall I was happy with my pieces. This was a fun experience, and worth the value!

We definitely plan on returning, hopefully next year around the same time. We were a group of 37 employees. We used an entire floor, as well as plenty of breakout rooms for group or individual meetings. The kitchen space worked well, we ate a lot of meals there. The location is very convenient, right in the downtown area near restaurants, hotels and more! Thank you again Foundr Space!!! Best, Amelia

The bathrooms, the co workspace and the kitchen are always clean. I've had minimal user error with the free printer that is provided and I enjoy being able to look out and see Pasadena City Hall from afar. Furthermore, the staff have been supportive, energetic and happy to help me whenever I have questions. For that matter Jeremy is THE MAN! Always helpful and always able to solve my issues. I'm very thankful that I decided to move away from working at home and start work at FoundrSpace. Because I really need home to be home and a place to work to feel more like work than a room in my home. I don't think that people have figured that out yet, but I know they will soon and I hope they find this review and find their new work office at FoundrSpace. Anyway, I plan to be here for quite some time, and I look forward to new neighbors that are focused on their businesses and ventures. I just wanted to let others know that this is the place for me and I know it's going to be a great place for more entrepreneurs, start ups and businesses too. Seriously if anybody has any questions, feel free to reach out to me and I'd be happy to answer.

If you didn't know her work, it's the most fun, colorful and happy art at the intersection of Impressionism, portals and optical illusion, where you squint your eyes and each segment of color is like a pixel in a tapestry of interwoven color and texture. The vibe was amazing ing and I just had to go see this art and support this artist. I arrived and found an entire treasure trove of fascinating art by dozens of artists. Each style is unique and well worth coming by. Imagine walking through a museum of the most amazing only talented artists and all the art is for sale. I bought two pieces. One of Shiri's of course. The art is reasonably priced and there are many different sizes. I highly recommend Artspace Warehouse for some of the best talent in the L.A. art world. The staff is wonderful and extremely helpful and full of knowledge about each and every artist, the types of art and our chats were so chill- no pretentious vibes here. Just joy. This was really a thrill to see locals, families choosing art for their homes, and people like me who came a bit of a distance to share the art experience here. I'd heard of Beyond the Streets before through various Art in the Streets exhibits, but had no idea that they now had a permanent physical home until I read that article. The hubby and I are longtime GWAR fans so had to go check it out! There's metered parking around the gallery, but you can also park for free on nearby neighborhoods streets. The gallery was quite sizable, with several exhibition rooms and a gift shop, of course. It's free to enter, and the exhibit was really great. Being able to be so close to some of the stage costumes of my favorite band was a truly amazing experience. The entire setup was very well thought out, and I easily spent way more time here than I would have expected. The studio isn't huge, which was a bit of a let down, but their space was certainly maximized for the art. The gift shop was nice as well, but I was a bit underwhelmed by the mixing of merch for GWAR with other past exhibits. It felt like they could have been a bit more organized about that. Parking is street in LA so you have to have realistic expectations. I did have some issues with the parking meters out front that did not like my debit cards, so it took a few tries at a few spots before finding somewhere that worked. I don't count this against them because that's LAs fault, just wanted to share it with all readers here. Overall, it was an experience I made and was absolutely necessary for a Bohab like me.
