Although she normally specializes in baby photography, she welcomed our family in and made us feel comfortable from the very beginning. We chose an indoor studio session because of the heat, and her little studio oasis was perfect. She selected two beautiful backgrounds that matched our two outfits perfectly. Everything came together so well that even she was impressed! What stood out most was her attention to detail. She guided us through different poses, made sure our bodies were positioned correctly, and kept us laughing so the pictures felt natural instead of overly posed. She's friendly, outgoing, and you can genuinely tell she loves what she does. Our photos were ready within just a couple of days, and they came out fantastic! If you want to re-live your big day over and over again years later, James is your guy! My wife and I had never done a professional photoshoot. Neither of us are particularly comfortable in front of the camera. After interviewing 5 different photographers, we knew from our first conversation that James was the one. He is incredibly friendly, easy going, and knowledgeable. We agreed to do an engagement session, 1 location for 90mins to see if we'd be comfortable working with James. It couldn't have gone better. Initially, we were a bit stiff, but James gave us tips on how to act naturally, suggested poses and hand positions that made us feel and look relaxed. The time flew by and we actually ended up going to a second location with a wardrobe change. Overall, it was about 2 hours. James did not mind at all. In fact, he probably could've gone longer if the sun hadn't set on us! Our photos were edited and received in less than 2 weeks! James was kind enough to print a large poster and sign that shipped to our house in just a few days. He price matched any package/prints from other photographers. Having gone through our engagement session seamlessly, we hired James to shoot our wedding as well. He and an assistant were on site for 10 hours, tending to our every need and keeping us on our timeline. After our planned family/wedding party photos, we hardly even noticed them working as we proceeded with wedding events. After the wedding, we received many compliments on how great James was and several guests asked for his contact information. Within a couple of days, we received a preview of about 20 photos highlighting our big day. We were thrilled! Every important moment was captured so elegantly! The full magazine of photos was available for download in about 1 month. James then worked with us to print a high quality photo book for our coffee table. You can't go wrong with James--his high quality work and work ethic speak for themselves. There is no substitute for how easy and stress free he made us feel, so that we could truly enjoy ourselves knowing that he would capture every single moment candidly. She has photographed so many of my friends and came with great recommendations. First, she did our engagement shoot. My (then fiance) contacted her and scheduled her to be there. She was so sneaky and she was able to capture the proposal just how I imagined! Second, we had our engagement session. She was great with suggestions and letting us know about permits needed, etc. We met in Pasadena and she captured such amazing pictures at a local park. Then we went to the Colorado Street Bridge. I have always wanted pictures with the bridge in the background and she captured those pictures. Those pictures are now hanging in our living room and i absolutely LOVE them. Third- wedding day: Where do I begin?! That day was chaos as she walked in to the hotel. However, she went about her job. I appreciate that she had an assistant. At one point Brenda stepped in and took control of a situation when none of my bridesmaids knew what to do. She was great! Brenda and Maria were great and you never knew they were there, so you never felt awkward (which was one of my concerns) and they never told you what to do but let you be you (which I appreciated). Of course when we did pose for pictures they stepped in to fix those being photographed. We cannot wait to get our pictures, however, we are sure they will exceed our expectations (as they have the past two sessions). Fourth: we will be having a post wedding shoot. Unfortunately everyday that we have scheduled it has been forecasted to rain, so we have rescheduled several times. Brenda has been great about it and has been great about suggesting locations. We are glad to have found Brenda and look forward to hiring her for future milestones.
