I had no idea this place existed until an Eventbrite ad caught my eye. Shiri Phillips was doing a solo show of here artwork. If you didn't know her work, it's the most fun, colorful and happy art at the intersection of Impressionism, portals and optical illusion, where you squint your eyes and each segment of color is like a pixel in a tapestry of interwoven color and texture. The vibe was amazing ing and I just had to go see this art and support this artist. I arrived and found an entire treasure trove of fascinating art by dozens of artists. Each style is unique and well worth coming by. Imagine walking through a museum of the most amazing only talented artists and all the art is for sale. I bought two pieces. One of Shiri's of course. The art is reasonably priced and there are many different sizes. I highly recommend Artspace Warehouse for some of the best talent in the L.A. art world. The staff is wonderful and extremely helpful and full of knowledge about each and every artist, the types of art and our chats were so chill- no pretentious vibes here. Just joy. This was really a thrill to see locals, families choosing art for their homes, and people like me who came a bit of a distance to share the art experience here. One of my favorite art galleries! The space is huge; there's so much art and such a variety of it; everything from abstract to cartoons. I love all things pink and heart shaped, so I really enjoyed some of the art more than others. Also, just a side note, I'm not into art like that, but I enjoy seeing all the different pieces. I find it very interesting that you can tell what art belongs to a certain artist, even if the pieces are in separate rooms. The staff was great and let you enjoy the art at your leisure. read more

This is an amazing gallery full of beautiful, unique works of art. I had no idea how huge it was- I thought this would be a 30-45 min visit and it was longer (no complaints, as I was happy that there was tons of art to see). There is something for everyone here whether you are seeking abstract, pop, sculpture, etc. If you are an art lover, I highly recommend this gallery. read more

So friendly and nice. Brought all the artwork from the back that we saw online that wasn't there in person. Did the virtual installation too. Really pleased we decided to go and can't wait to click buy on the piece(s) we want. A little scary because I liked so much of their stuff but this is the place to go if you're looking for art to spice up your walls and aren't trying to lose an arm in the process. The prices are definitely expensive but I think you're getting what you pay for - the pieces look really good. Also appreciate that they were open on New Years eve but hope the team got paid really well for doing so!! Fun place to spend some time too even if just browsing. read more

Artspace Warehouse was an accidental find for us as we were walking towards Milk on Beverly Blvd. The pink building itself caught our eye, but the cool art that could be seen through the window is what made us stop and actually go in. On a Saturday afternoon, there were quite a few people inside. Some were working with sales people to find those perfect pieces for their houses, others like us were there to gawk at all the colorful displays and pieces on the walls. There was a lot of pop art available, but if you were looking for something a little more upscale and subtle, they had that too. There was a lot to see and make sure you give yourself enough time to explore all the different hallways and rooms cause there are some really great things to see. The sales people weren't pushy and there to help with any questions you might have. The pieces were reasonably priced, and they even had a selection of prints at a discount inside a shopping cart at the front. Definitely recommend stopping by to kill a little time or when you're trying to find that WOW piece of your living space! read more

What a lovely art gallery! I went on a of Saturday night a couple of weeks ago during the Miracle Mile Art Walk (http://www.miraclemileartwalk.com). Specifically, I made my way to see an exhibit by Clara Berta (http://www.bertaart.com), a lovely artist from Studio City, CA (by way of Hungary). Clara's work was beautiful, mixed media, with a couple of very over-sized pieces (6 feet by 8 feet) -- absolutely stunning and HUGE. In addition, I really enjoyed the entire gallery...which featured 20 or so different artists of varied style. It was great to meet & chat with several of them that were there to greet & discuss their pieces. In addition, I found the gallery owner, Claudia, so nice and easy to ask questions to! There's something for nearly every collector here, as prices seem varied and start from $100 and up. The environment is colorful, well-lit, and no pressure to just come for a walk-thru, and perhaps find a piece you may like for yourself. A very cool place! This place isn't really a gallery, it's more of a store. You will be followed through the whole place and asked if you need anything 50 times and the older woman who works there will sneak up behind you and just randomly give you factoids about an artist if you look at a painting for too long. The artists they have here are blatant rip offs of other artists, and when you ask the associates they get nervous like they're going to get in trouble for answering you. There are several Basquiat rip offs (all white artists...) and there is a BIG TIME rip off of J Goldcrown. The girls at the desks are super friendly though, which accounts for the only star I'll give this place. read more

Went in to Artspace looking for quality pieces -- not commercial ones -- from local artists that would look great in my home. I left with two paintings that have really complemented my home while elevating the space. Claudia and the team were helpful, knowledgeable and so easy to work with. As a Beverly Blvd business owner, I am constantly trolling our street in hopes of discovering something new and exciting. The more I am excited about our street, the better I am able to bring that excitement into our salon. Occassionally, I fall prey to the limits of time. So months passed recently before I hit the streets again. What a pleasant surprise when I saw this new Gallery that made its way on the scene. So I jumped in to look around. I was met by Mona. She didn't immediately bring me to the art, as most gallery owners will do. She brought me into the space. She engaged me, the person before she started showing me around. I tend to cut to the chase, so I started asking her about the business. She started telling me about the owner's desire to bring impressive, innovative pieces to the mid-range consumer. I thought that was a gimic. I always expect to see a minimum of 4 digits on the description card (and that means it's cheap in original art standards.) So, I leaned in. Then I leaned in further (because obviously my eyes are failing me.) Then I leaned back (to reflect on what I saw - and give Mona the impression that I was till listening.) Then I leaned in again, only to interrupt. "Mona, is that the price of the piece?" Mona smiled, "Yes. I told you they were affordable." I LOVE THIS PLACE! The art is truly innovative. It is urban, it is stunning and it is accessible. I stop by now, at least every other week. Now we carry some of their pieces in our salon. You will not believe how many of our clients ask me about the work. I LOVE THIS PLACE SO MUCH! You have to stop by. If only to chat with Mona. She loves the place too! ;) read more

I love this place - but then again, I LOVE the Weisman Museum, and some tell me I'm crazy because of that... "Modern Art is just a bit of color on a canvas, a couple of paint specks, and there..." "I can do that"... I thoroughly enjoyed browsing through this newest addition to the vibrant Euro-LA Gallery Scene, where young, upcoming starving Artists from Germany and Switzerland are shown alongside Angeleno "Greats" - creating a cultural bridge and an "Axis of Contemporary Art" between Köln, Zürich and Los Angeles. They have Art for every pocketbook - that's what I genuinely LOVE about this place. There's room for the Elite Galleries, but us Art lovers who don't have gagillions to spend, would really enjoy owning some cool stuff at a price where we don't have to start another housing bubble to finance the thing hanging on our walls... right? From Giacometti-Like statuettes made of wire, to little artsy trinkets, to a series of amazing pop-art pieces the size of my whole living room - there's something for every Taste and every Wallet. We may not be totally ready in this economy to splurge on Art, but the Artspace Warehouse makes it way more "erschwinglich" (learn that word, Angelenos)... affordable, yes... Awww such a cute space. The art runs the gamet of tastes. Some people say it is overpriced but art is SUBJECTIVE (to the uneducated) so, one persons' junk is anothers' treasure (cliché). I urge people to go to any and all galleries. There is no gun to your head to buy anything and art makes you smarter and more creative. You may not realize it but it can stir creative juices. Parking is not ideal so, one less star. Location is always an issue when it comes to galleries (sadly). read more

The Artspace Warehouse is a jewel of a place to find works from talented artists, mostly on the west coast. There are works of many different modes and are many different sizes. I loved the 3 dimensional pieces. This is a perfect venue to find art for your home, office or anywhere you need inspiration. They were a big help with advice on how to choose the right piece. I was surprised to learn artists may be commissioned to make new pieces upon request. When I move to a new home, I won't hesitate to revisit the artists pieces. read more

As a first-time art buyer, I looked at several galleries throughout LA and kept coming back to Artspace Warehouse. The prices were reasonable, and the staff was incredibly knowledgable and made the experience enjoyable, not stressful. After I purchased one painting and brought it home, I realized it wasn't the right size and design; Mona and Claudia worked directly with the artist to arrange for an exchange, which allowed me to get the right piece and feel really good about the purchase. Nice selection of emerging artists. I'm usually able to find at least a few pieces I wouldn't mind hanging on my walls, which is more than I can say for 75% of the galleries I've visited in LA. The owners are really sweet... I always enjoy schmoozing with them about the artists (who they really are passionate about supporting and promoting). I wouldn't mind if they bargained a bit more - the usual 20% off the listed price rule doesn't seem to work here - but prices are generally reasonable enough to prevent this from being a dealbreaker.
