We thought it would be great for their health. The scenery is beautiful, the atmosphere is peaceful, the air is fresh, and parking is free, which makes this place even better. One more thing made this visit extra special. The last time we were here, I was disappointed because I couldn't find the pathway lined with tall trees on both sides. This time, I happened to run into a park ranger, and he was incredibly kind and showed me exactly where it was. Thanks to him, I finally found the spot and was able to take some beautiful photos. The gardens here are absolutely gorgeous, and it's such a wonderful place to relax and go for a walk. I always enjoy coming here.

Her assistant Matt was also very professional and made sure everything was running smoothly during the party. They both delivered a high quality service! After inquiring about this venue online, I was immediately contacted by Kate Paul, who assisted me throughout the entire process of planning my event. In fact, that is an understatement because Kate did more than assist me, and I must say that I would not have been able to pull off such an amazing event without her guidance, support, and assistance. Kate was very knowledgeable about event planning, and since this was the first event that I coordinated on my own, she was thoughtful enough to give me guidance in everything from catering and bar service, to project management and décor recommendations. Kate was indeed my angel sent from the event planning gods; she was very professional, accommodating, understanding, and patient throughout the entire process. As for the venue, it was everything that I could have hoped for! It would be an honor to have the opportunity to host another event at this venue! Unacceptable: Racism, verbal abuse, and physical aggression from staff…read more I had a terrible and completely unacceptable experience at Candela La Brea. Due to an Uber address mix-up, we ended up at this location by mistake. Upon arriving near closing time, we just asked if we could come in for a drink as we believed this was a bar: After being told it was a private event, I calmly tried to explain our Uber mistake. Instead of handling the situation professionally, a female staff member completely lost her temper. She started screaming at us, talked to us terribly, and physically aggressed us and telling us to go away. Given the unprovoked hostility and the way she treated us, I strongly believe her behavior was racially motivated because we are not from America. She tried to physically attack us. Her actions were so completely out of line and unwarranted that even several guests from the private event came over to apologize to us for her deplorable conduct. No one should ever be subjected to discrimination, verbal abuse, or violence over a simple misunderstanding. I highly advise avoiding this place, customer service, safety, and basic respect are completely nonexistent here. To make matters worse, I didn't even say a word to provoke her, she completely misdirected her anger at us just because of other people standing nearby. Being targeted, screamed at, and pushed when you haven't done or said a single thing is completely unhinged. She literally screamed right in our faces: "Hell no! Get the fuck out of here!"

Honestly, it worked out perfectly because they had AC and it was HOT in Beverly Hills that day lol. The inside of the restaurant was actually really beautiful too! I loved the decor and the vibe felt way nicer indoors. Looking back, we probably should've just asked to sit inside instead of outside because of the heat The food was oh so so so very good! Everyone in our group enjoyed everything we ordered, from the appetizers all the way to dessert. HIGHLIGHT of our lunch: my husband and I surprised my mother-in-law with a bouquet of pink roses, so we asked the hostess if they could keep it in their cooler room until the end of lunch. After dessert, they brought the flowers out for us and my mother-in-law was so surprised and happy It honestly made the whole celebration feel extra special. Thank you to the staff for helping create such a sweet and memorable Mother's Day moment for our family!

If it's not during Dine LA, I would likely not come back. Little did we know there was a very obvious explanation for not being full for a Sunday dinner despite the gorgeous patio being perfect for romantic dates. Overall 4 stars: 5 stars for ambiance 4 stars for service 3 stars for food Got the: 1. Toscana (7/10): - This salad was wilted by the time it got to us and not crispy anymore, so we suspect it's been sitting out for a while. - Would've been a 9/10 If it was served fresh 2. Pappardelle Al Tartufo Bianco (+$20 to add lobster pieces) 7/10: - the pasta (9/10) was good, and the doneness was perfect for fresh pasta. - Unfortunately the lobster (4/10) left a lot to be desired. The lobster meat was severely overcooked to the point of being almost rubbery and there were several small shells in the pasta dish. - The waiter must've noticed the pile of shells I made because he whisked away the plate the second I finished so I wasn't able to take a picture. 3. Filet di Manzo (5/10): - the filet was over cooked, which is starting to seem like an overarching theme. We ordered medium RARE and received medium WELL. - This would ordinarily be sent back to the kitchen in any reputable steakhouse, but we gave them a break for not being a steakhouse - the sauce was on the bitter side and this dish was paired with broccoli rabe instead of the advertised spinach so the dish was not balanced at all, just overwhelmingly bitter. Unfortunately this was the worst dish of the night. 4. Il Branzino (7.5/10): - the Branzino fish was not dry but also not moist. I'd say it's pretty typical for Italian cooking, just not flavorful either. It needs a tasty sauce to really add some depth - instead of the advertised zucchini, it came with spinach - It was soft enough for the palate of my grandparents 5. Panna Cotta (9.5/10): - wow, I can't believe the best dishes of the night were the desserts! - Panna cotta was very well balanced with the fruits. Without the fruits and fruit syrup topping, the vanilla bean panna cotta would've be too rich - did not come with the advertised candied rose petals, but this dessert was so well executed that it didn't matter 6. Tiramisu (9/10): - light and fluffy, it was executed well with chocolate shavings on top - a little bitter from the coffee (they advertise that the lady fingers were "lightly dipped in espresso" which my taste buds find hard to believe) but they did have a berry compote on the side to balance it out. - Personally I wish it was not served with berry compote as I believe the advertised mascarpone may been a better pairing Parking: valet only but there's street parking down the street and all around if you're willing to walk up to a block

This is not a restaurant or anything but a space you can rent out for events. The space is good for a smaller, intimate gathering of maybe 20-30 people or less. It is not a huge space. There's not really parking in the area so your guests would have to pull up to the valet which is something to consider if you don't want your guests to have to pay for parking. At the event I went to, they had an open bar in the corner and a small table of hors d'oeuvres on the opposite end. The waiters also walked around with more hors d'oeuvres. They put two tall tables in the middle where you can stand with your food. They also have a very comfy couch. The room is on the first floor of the hotel, near where you check in. It was a lovely private space and I would definitely suggest it for smaller gatherings. Lovely service and beautiful food presentation.
