Smashbox cosmetics held their anniversary party here which I attended and it was absolutely stunning. The location itself is private with a parking lot for valet. Area is clean and beautiful. Studio is clean and beautifully maintained. They had their makeup studio open to take photos, multiple wine bars, and showcased their success over the years. It was really such a great experience!

The cosmetic company hosted its fans an afternoon filled with various of activities: do-it-yourself make up stations, bottomless Gourmet /specialty coffee drinks on the house and bottomless popcorn as well as Spa water, (cucumber and lemon) make up artist stations as well as interview stations helping the brand making an ad. Upon arrival, we were handed our event wristband. This felt like almost another Yelp event but minus Yelp team and Yelp souvenirs. They largely advertised under our 'Events,' section, so I actually caught the 'SmashBox Casting Call Party.' I didn't feel like going on any video recording for interviews this time, so I went behind the scenes. I still got Polaroid pics taken. The camera guys were extremely friendly just like our Yelp LA East team camera men. Any ways, I'm going to continue supporting 'Smashbox.' Now I have been invited to one of their events. I have been using all their lip gloss and lip shades. W2G, 'SmashBox Studios.' For our Sunday Funday. Customer Service: Speechless. This is how one runs cosmetic business. W2G, 10/10.... Ambiance: 10/10.....very upscale, everything was kept super neat including restrooms. Parking: Free street parking about 2 blocks down. I told the security guard I can use a walk. She told me there was a free parking structure.....10/10

The cyc is huge and super clean with no surrounding noise. Marco, the owner, makes the experience so easy for us every time we're there. We've shot 5 campaigns for a global coffee brand at Greycard and the kitchen is perfect for food stylists to prep in. There's nearby street parking, it's just off the 405, I mean...the list goes on. There are a lot of stages around LA and I've shot in most of them. This is the one I'll keep coming back to, without a doubt.

My first taping at The FABlife show!…read more The Studio: Located in downtown Culver City. There is a studio sign on Washington Blvd so you won't miss it. The Show: First season. Small studio but intimate. Beautiful set. The hosts are super super super friendly with the audience. They interact with the audience and chat with them when the show is finished. The stage manager is great in controlling the time, 2 hours taping. The Parking: For TV taping, you park at the public parking structure right across from the studio. The first two hours FREE then $1 per hour. Very reasonable price.

One note - street parking is next to impossible. If you aren't being given parking in the studio lot, best bet is parking in the nearby Trader Joe's lot... first two hours are free and it's something like $1 an hour after that. A great studio space for your photography and/or filming needs…read more This loft massive creative chamber has it all. Attended an event here and feel in love with the lighting potentially, depths of space and layout of the entire top floor. There are stations for hair and makeup prep, comfortable chairs, seating and some lounge like furniture pieces for multipurpose or practical use. A small waiting area outside that connects to both the studio and it's loft space (where down the hall from you'll find access to the bathrooms as well). Parking is to the side of the building and shared with Starbucks or street parking are both usually availble. While the physical address is off Beverly... the entrance sits off Detroit Street. Take the elevator or the staircase up to this wonderful space and have a shutter filled frenzy.

They are easy to book with reschedule and always ( politely) answer my phone calls for help or clarification. I personally didn't rely on much of the equipment provided but, I did enjoy messing around with the on hand studio lighting. being able to mess around and work with much more expensive studio equipment than I own, is great. I love the natural lighting the building gets as well. On the down side : I do feel like some of the props and supplies are in desperate need to be updated or replaced. A couch we had in our studio requires a lot of post editing to not look like it was taken off the street with as much wear and tear as it has. Small price to pay that makes massive charges for models and photographers.

I got the opportunity at the end of July to use 1 of the rooms to take some pictures…read more The studio is in a sketchy neighborhood and there is metered parking out front or lot parking across the street by McDonalds $8 for the day. The studio has a buzzer to push for someone to unlock the door and let you in. Staff is friendly but they do have other responsibilities and are not always there to let you in right away. The staging area was incredibly hot and the air conditioning was not working and there is a flight of stairs to climb to get up the stages/rooms, and that is incredibly difficult then you have a ton of gear and that is why I gave it 4 stars. Looking forward to going back some time.
