It's convenient, breakfast is included with your room, and it's really no different than any other Denny's anywhere. We went on two consecutive mornings when we visited Ely and although the service was a little slow during the breakfast the food was well prepared, presented and the server was very courteous. The food was exactly as expected, and I can't imagine how breakfast could be much better than this anywhere else in town. It was certainly several levels above any chain hotel buffet of heated up, pre-prepared foods. Tip - when staying for the free breakfast take the option of applying five dollars off of any menu item instead of the free breakfast. It's pretty skimpy. We paid about $25 for a very nice breakfast this way. Give it a try, especially if you're staying in the hotel. There aren't a lot of other options in Ely.

Not everyone is comfortable using the kiosks, especially across different generations--and in this case, he only had cash. That should never mean being ignored. Once I got my sauce, I went back to wait for my order. The manager later came outside with a sheepish smile, which honestly felt like she knew the situation hadn't been handled well. If you're a carnivore, ketovore, keto, or LCHF enthusiast, look no further--this place is a must-visit! We enjoyed their mouthwatering burgers (no bun) topped with cheddar cheese and perfectly crispy fried chicken wings with no coating or breading. What really stood out was how accommodating they were to our specific food preferences--true attention to detail! The food was not only delicious but also priced very fairly, making it an excellent value. To top it off, the service was incredibly friendly and made us feel right at home. Highly recommend for anyone who loves quality food and excellent service. We'll definitely be back! read more

We stopped in at the Smash n Grab in Ely and were blown away! The food was absolutely amazing. I loved the slithered onion and lettuce -- just the right touch without being overpowering. They even have fry sauce, which is always a huge plus in my book. Everything we ordered came out perfectly on point. The only downside is that it's located inside the casino, so the smoke smell wasn't my favorite. But honestly, the food more than made up for it -- totally worth it! read more

Mind you, we are all natural born American citizens who speak two languages. I understand that children can be loud at times, but no one deserves to be spoken to disrespectfully while simply trying to enjoy a meal. Therefore I was disrespectful back, and while I understand two wrongs don't make a right, the restaurant acknowledged the situation but did not do anything about it. What was most disappointing was not the behavior of the other patron, it was the restaurant's response. The staff apologized, but no one stepped in to de-escalate the situation or address the customer's behavior. Instead, I felt like the only option was to leave after addressing the patron myself. I wasn't expecting anyone to take sides, but I did expect management to ensure that all guests could dine without being harassed. A simple intervention or request for the other customer to stop would have gone a long way. I hope the restaurant reviews how situations like this are handled in the future so that families and other guests feel supported and safe. This happened on 08.04 at about 6:30 pm.
