Ordered through the app and ran inside quickly to grab a sauce I forgot. What I saw was disappointing. An older gentleman had been standing at the counter for about 20 minutes and hadn't been acknowledged at all. Staff were focused on the drive-thru and not paying attention to customers inside. When I asked if we could order at the counter, the manager came over with noticeable attitude. The gentleman ordered first, and I appreciated being able to help him get some service. Not everyone is comfortable using the kiosks, especially across different generations--and in this case, he only had cash. That should never mean being ignored. Once I got my sauce, I went back to wait for my order. The manager later came outside with a sheepish smile, which honestly felt like she knew the situation hadn't been handled well. After a 9 hour car ride, McDonalds was a quick and easy stop for dinner. We pulled up to the drive through and asked for something we get at every mcdonald's we have ever been too and was on there menu. The lady told us the meal deal only comes in spicy mcchicken. I was very confused because this is what i always get and it was on the menu so I asked why it was on the menu and she said "I don't know, I didn't put it there." We went to the drive-thru to resolve it and showed proof the order was paid. He offered no solution, said "not my problem," and handed us two phone numbers--one went to a dead voicemail, and the other was disconnected. About 30 minutes later, a refund came through--I assume the manager found our order and canceled it. We went to Carl's Jr. instead, where an employee who used to work at that McDonald's told us the manager absolutely could've looked up the order but likely chose not to. Lazy and dismissive. A good manager would've checked the system, owned the mistake, and offered some courtesy to make things right. This guy just shrugged us off. Terrible service. This McDonald's has got to be the slowest fast food place I have ever been in line for on our way through town we stopped and ordered Egg McMuffins it took 45 minutes I was getting mad I told them either give me my food or give me my money back and then stupid ass there's no other fast food place in Ely so we stopped there in the afternoon on the way back home and it took about 20 minutes to get a cheeseburger and then the order was wrong this place really needs some work read more

Unfortunately our experience was not so great, i'm not usually one to leave bad reviews because i understand when businesses are short staffed it's not always their fault, but my biggest concern is the food handling safety that nobody seems to care about. As we waited inside for 25 minutes, i observed employees drop items on the floor and put it back on the counter next to the food, wipe their noses and cough into their hands then touch the food, drop items into the dumpster then come back inside to resume bagging the food, all without washing their hands. On top of the food not being hot when we received it, and employees ignoring everyone standing within the lobby to prioritize the drive thru customers. My main concern with this whole ordeal is the lack of food safety, and the manager on staff had no care for properly guiding her staff and making sure that if timely service isn't achieved, the very least food safety could be. read more

If I could give zero stars I would. Just went through the drive thru. They have someone on their 2nd day working the drive thru orders. No problem. I'm really patient with new hires. But she put in our order wrong. Got to the pickup window and showed the manager the receipt, just to confirm they'll get it right because the receipt wasn't right. She took it back but the GM Maria was working and refused to fix the order and said that's what we ordered. My kids have preferences and allergies, why would I order anything that they can't eat? Your typical McDonald's stop in the middle of nowhere. There's a huge parking lot, which is nice. I used the Mobile App pick up for the first time, which was very quick and easy. Plus, you get extra discounts and deals from the app! I got to try their new Spicy McNuggets and Mighty Hot Sauce. You can never go wrong with some hot and crispy nuggets. The sauce was quite spicy, which is surprising for a fast-food chain that always keeps the spice level mild. read more

Again currently unavailable, wtf. Moving on. McDoubles no diced onions available, okay didnt want them! Got food ordered, confirmed, left the house, pulled up to the spot and went to put in my number. "Order cancelled". Go inside to order. No C02 for sodas mocas or anything else. Not surprise!!! ordered new food. And guess what got my burgers wrong. When the manager went to tell the line cook I got a a dirty look like it was my fault he couldn't read the order right. I placed my order online bc there was a crowd of people standing around waiting for their food and as I stood there waiting I started noticing all the filth that surrounded me. There are not many options for a quick snack in Ely, but getting ice cream at McDonalds hit the spot on a long cross country trip on Highway 50. Staff were very friendly and service in the drive thru was quick. Ice cream was standard McDonalds. Even though only the hot fudge Sundae was listed on the menu, a caramel Sundae was also available (which made me happy). Would stop here again. read more

We stop at this McDonald's everytime we drive to/from Idaho/California. It's been updated recently (interior and exterior) and it's in really good condition. The best part? It's very clean! They have a nice, open play place, and an indoor seating area as well. This location also has a drive-through. They are not open 24 hours though (which is a bummer, and one of the reasons they're rated 4 stars instead of 5), but their Billboard does say "now open at 5am". The staff is also SUPER friendly! It's clean, play place, friendly staff, and a drive through? Why not 5 stars? Well I've already mentioned the not 24 hours. Also, their location is difficult to get into if you're coming into town from the south, or the West, due to the medians. I know this isn't their fault, but it's still a pain. The employees are always very nice at this location and you are able to enter this location although the play area is closed. (I know most locations in Las Vegas will not let customers in.) The inside of this location is not usually busy so if you are in a hurry I'd recommend walking in because the drive through is always packed. Doesn't matter what time of day. Inside is clean, kiosk was broken on this trip so it took a little bit of time to place my order. Only because the girl working the cash warp was working the drive through. The food is always seems to be made fresh and they are not stingy with the sauce or ketchup. I hight recommend using the app because this locations drive through gets VERY busy as I mentioned before. What the Fuck is wrong with McDonalds in Ely NV??? You order a Double Cheese Burger with extra onions and ketsup. You Review your receipt and see you were charged extra for the extra ketsup and onions. You receive your order and examine it ( A MUST) and see that there is either No ketsup or onions, OR, there is a veryTHIN swipe of ketsup and maybe 5 little tiny bits of onion. You send it back to get what you ordered. Then, when you get it back, it is LOADED with what could be a whole bottle of ketsup a da whole diced up onions making the burger virtually inedible!!! I have been a regular customer of this location since their first day open for business 25 or so years ago! I always get treated great by the staff and always get a consistent, tasty meal. Let's face it, consistent is what McDonalds is designed to be and they're always successful at that for me. I've eaten literally thousands of egg McMuffins, cheeseburgers and chicken nuggets over the years and find it very comforting to know this location is always there to fulfill my needs when I need them. My grandkids always consider it a treat and are easy to bribe with the promise of a trip to "MickeyD's"! This is a mainstay in our community, with friendly faces and the promise of exactly what I want, when I want it. I'm not eating at Mcdonalds to find that rare new taste, I'm eating at McDonald's to get that taste that I count on to be the same every time and these guys shine at that! read more

Dont ever expect your order to be correct at this place. Check your bag before leaving the drive thru. We dont go here often but when we do, it's almost always wrong. You're supposed to ask for condiments at the speaker or you'll be charged extra at the window. Really? Even when you ask at the speaker, you still wont get it or they put something entirely random in the bag (like salsa!) My big breakfast this morning not only didnt get the extra syrup I requested AT THE SPEAKER, there were no hashbrowns in the bag.
