We got there a bit earlier than lunch and didn't question it being empty on a Wednesday, but then we watched the place fill up. People were talking until food arrived and then it was just quiet. That tells you a lot. Can't talk while you're eating. Then I had them pack up all three dessert choices in the display because we could not decide. Chocolate cake, Nutella cheesecake and lemon cheesecake. We drove the two hours home and then sampled...I got one bite of the Nutella and then my son stole it! The food truck is set right in the middle of the cabins that the owners also run, and the whole setup has a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere. There are two small patio areas where you can sit outside, rest after hiking, and enjoy the mountain air while eating something fresh and comforting. Sandra herself was an absolute pleasure to talk to. She shared parts of her story with me, a story of immigration, resilience, hard work, and success that genuinely warmed my heart. You can feel that this business was built with determination, hope, and a lot of love behind it. The food was excellent. We ordered chips and salsa, pork street tacos, and a chicken salad, and everything tasted fresh and homemade, care came through in every bite. Simple, authentic, sincere food done really well.
