These guys are absolute pros at what they do. I took in my iPhone which was, to say the least, in rough shape and suddenly stopped turning on. He went right in, got it running again, and replaced the screen in a very reasonable amount of time at a very reasonable price. It took a little longer than quoted since there was one guy and he had to take care of other customers, but for getting back a phone that now looked like new and worked perfectly, it was well worth the extra wait. I've gone to them in the past to fix cracked/broken screens on my previous iphones and have always had good service but this time was different and I wasn't pleased. Originally got my Iphone 6 plus fixed back in February, I got a new screen after my previous one was cracked(but still working). Within that same week of getting it fixed I got a more durable phone case(Thule case from Target) and have had it out of the case no more than 3 times to count. Since being fixed the phone has never been dropped once. Fast forward a little over a month later and the phone screen starts separating from the phone itself. I took it to two other mobile repair places as well as the apple store and all 3 said that the screen and glue were cheap material and said that . I called and spoke to nick as well as another lady and both accused me of dropping the phone causing the screen to separate from the case, and that a new replacement screen would cost another $100-$115 after already paying $137 the first time to get it fixed Needless to say after that ordeal the phone screen just stopped working again this morning completley and my phone does not work/light up at all, even when I plug it in. read more

Scammers...I had a flip phone which the LCD screen was not working...i needed my contact information transferred...they suggested that i buy a similar phone and they will transfer the motherboard from one phone to another...i brought the phones to work them...they told to comeback in 3 hrs...i left the mall and they called 10 min later to say that my phone was ready...when i got there they said that it was easy to switch...the truth they did not switch anything...all i need it is a USB cord and a computer to transfer the information form my old phone to the computer and then from the computer to my phone...they lied to me and charged me 50 bucks...i will never use them...and you should not used them either...scammers read more

I brought my iPad mini to Smart Fix on a Friday because it fell 2 feet (in the case) and had a small crack in one corner of the screen. Other than the small crack, the iPad was completely functional, but it is my daughter's iPad, so we decided to get it fixed so the glass didn't cut her little fingers. Smart Fix took my iPad and said they could fix it by tomorrow, no problem. After charging me $169, I left waiting to hear from smart fix the next day. I got a call from Calvin the next day saying they needed to order a retina screen and asked if Tuesday would be okay to return the iPad, which I agreed to. When Tuesday rolled around and I hadn't heard from Calvin, I called the Smart Fix store to check on the status of the iPad. After a lot of confusion---apparently they had mixed up my iPad with another customers ipad, Calvin informed me that they were unable to fix my iPad and he needed to return it unfixed. He asked to check the Tyson's location to see if someone there was able to fix it, and I agreed. Finally on Friday, Calvin called and said the iPad was unable to have the screen replaced, even though they had previously told me it would be no problem. I went in to pick up the iPad and was horrified. Not only was my iPad NOT fixed, but there were now cracks ALL OVER the screen, parts of the screen were completely broken off, the home button DID NOT WORK, the power button DID NOT WORK---essentially, it is ruined. I took the iPad to the apple store afterwards and was told it is beyond repair, and now, out of warranty. I would not recommend going to Smart Fix for ANYONE. Not only did they mislead me about their ability to fix a small, simple crack, but they completely destroyed my iPad in the process. Calvin offered me 25% off of my next service because of what they put me through, but I will never go back. This has been the most disappointing experience. I have had to replace the screens on various devices over the last few years, and this was the first and only time a technician has not been able to resolve the problem. Stay away, stay very far away. There is another place that fixes cracked screens on the second level of pentagon city in front of the apple store, try them before ever speaking with the incompetent folks at Smart Fix. read more

I don't usually write a review but I felt like I have to for this kiosk. I had my iPhone screen repaired here 2 weeks ago. The Asian girl who fixed my screen was very honest with a reasonable price and she even gave me the screen protector for free because it was peeling off. After two weeks my home button stopped working. I told her I lost my receipt and she looked it up on her computer and she said it's ok she can fix it. My husband and I went to smartfix in Tyson's and I can't explain how rude and terrible this whole experience was. First I took my phone to get it unlocked in pentagon city mall and the guy informed me I should check back in 14 days if the unlock does not work I will get a full refund. So I called the Pentagon location about 30 times and all I got is the voicemail, finally I went to the Tyson's location and explained my situation they explained that their phone was stolen and its been a week since they've been without a phone.. Really? Who runs a professional business without a phone these days!? They said well we can do it but you have to pay more or you have to go back to Arlington to get your refund. There was a guy there named James he was extremely rude and called me a fucking bitch. I think this is crazy that a young kid that thinks he knows it all to treat customers like this. What happened to customer service!? And what happened to the customer being first!? The most disgusting place and a rip off. They said that the diagnostic won take just 3 days (until Monday) I came on Monday and they didn't have the phone. I took my iPad mini and my iPad 2 here to have the screen replaced. They did an excellent job on both. They look brand new and work well. I then went back and had the screen on my MacBook Pro 15" replaced, battery replaced, added 1TB hard drive and 8 MB ram memory. The price was reasonable and the job was amazing. Apple told me that I would need a new computer. Smartfix was able to make my computer brand new and instead of me having to spend $2000 on a brand new computer I did all this work for an amazing price. Now my 2009 computer will last me a few more years. I recommend Smartfix highly and have already given them 2 more computers to fix. They have excellent customer service and do quality work. Shattered my screen a few weeks ago and had been contemplating a new phone, AKA $$$! A friend recommended I try smart fix and I am extremely happy with the results. I though I had messed up the sensors in the touch screen and figured at least it wont look bad, but everything works as good as new and I saved a ton of money not having to buy a new phone. Ran me just under 130.00 for an Iphone 5 and was done in about half an hour. Def would recommend them if you don't want to buy a new phone. read more

SmartFix and SmartTalk are both owned by same owner, Nick. VERY unethical business operation. They often have the two keox within few feets of each other to pretend like they are two different company and give you different prices to get your business. In addition, I called and got a price quote from them to fix my cracked iphone glass- I went to the mall and smarttalk and smartfix gave me different prices. I went to the one I had already called and submitted my livingsocial certificate- He did not honor it- saying that "although we do not have anything under find print of the certificate, we will not honor it because the price we quote you before is a low price". This is unacceptable business practices. I wonder what else they may do while they have our phone in their possession....???!!! so we have to bring it back for other repairs. I will call living social and file a complaint- the problem is that Living social is also greedy. when they get complaints from consumers, they should ban that merchant from doing business with them until the merchant gains the right reputation to sell their services again. read more

I brought my ipad here for a new screen on Saturday after my son dropped it on the floor of our patio. I was told that ipad repair was sent out to their shop, but it would be back in 2-3 business days (only phones are done on-site). Since my ipad is an extension of my own body, I wanted to be sure I'd get it back quickly. The guy assured me it was quick, and they'd even put a rush on it. Well today is Wednesday afternoon and there's still no sign of my ipad. A call in to them had the kiosk clerk calling the shop then calling me back with an update and the best he could say was it will probably be back tomorrow evening. The price is right at only $150 to fix the screen, but the wait's been terrible. I'll update this review once I finally receive the ipad. BAD BAD BAD Service. They broke our phone and lost everything saved. All the Picture and Videos are lost. They give us the run around and kept the phone for days. Not at all happy with this place. I came in with my phone, was immediately talked to, given a quote, and left my phone for 45 minutes while they replaced the screen (iPhone 6). I came back, paid them, the screen looked great. I did note that the warranty on workmanship was only a month, and hoped to myself I would not have to use it. The next week, I took my phone out of my pocket and noticed that part of the screen had popped off. Hadn't dropped it or suffered any abuse-just was out of place; I could see inside my phone. As I was out of town, I dealt with it for a few days until I could make the one hour drive to Tyson's. Once there, I was treated rudely-like it was my fault the screen came off-and told that if they found any damage inside the phone they would charge me for the replacement. I came back 45 minutes later and was told VERY patronizingly that they had found damage inside the phone but would be "nice" this time and not charge me. As I had done nothing, I was a little miffed. The phone was open to the elements for a few days so I could definitely see something getting inside. Again, due to their screen coming off. A month later (now outside the warranty) I noticed that down near the home button there was a small crack from the base of the home button to the bottom of the phone. I figured it would not be a problem (I keep a screen protector and case on it) and decided to let it go. Then I dropped the phone-with the case on-and the entire screen popped off, only held on by wires at the top. I tried to "snap" it back on, and was rewarded by it cracking in multiple places before partially clinging to the phone. I will now continue to look on yelp for a place to get my phone fixed and will always warn people to steer clear of this place read more

Screen replacement on iPad 2 did not last 2 weeks. They would not fix under warranty due to damage that they claimed had happen since repair indicated it has been dropped. The damage was present from the first time I took the device to have the screen replaced and they could not fix it, but I, unfortunately, could not prove it. Lesson learned. They are now at Fair Oaks Mall. Even one star is too generous for them. When leaving my phone with them for repair estimate, they promised 2-4 days. After receiving no calls for the 5th day, I called the technician (who I'm told is the owner). He told me he was still working on it and would call me back within a day or two. The promised 2 days passed but no calls. I called him on the 8th day with no avail. I called the kiosk and asked the lady to have the technician call me. He never called for another two days. At this point, I'm furious and just want the phone back. I called the kiosk and asked the phone back. The technician then calls me back and tells me it takes a long time because it has an extensive damage. WTF!! I didn't ask him to repair the damage. I asked him to see if he can fix it and how much it would cost. If he needs more than 10 days to figure that out, he is either outright incompetent or a liar. I think he is both. Lastly, he was yelling at me for being angry. What a way to run a business!!! read more

I was happy to be able to get my cracked screen replaced quickly, cheaply (relative to Apple's price) and without having to mail the iphone somewhere. The repair was finished after 45 minutes and looked good. The speaker (metal part where you put your ear when you're talking on the phone) was slightly out of alignment relative to the screen, but I didn't complain and the sound quality was fine. But the replacement screen they gave me was not the same quality as the original screen. The replacement started to become slightly scratched after 2 months of use, whereas the original screen wasn't scratched after 1 year of use. And yesterday, 4 months after the replacement, the replacement screen cracked in 4 places when it (somewhat gently) slid from my hand onto a hardwood floor. The phone was in a case. In contrast, the original screen survived many many drops onto gravel, concrete, and hard floors and eventually developed a single crack when I accidentally faceplanted it onto sharp gravel. So I'll offer three stars for the service, but I think the price is high for the low quality of relacement screen they're using. read more
