Stopped by on a Saturday afternoon to get the power button fixed on my Iphone 4. I was greeted by Nick who told me what needed to be done. He gave me a price quote and stated he would have it fixed in an hour. When I returned 45 minutes later, he told me he was almost finished. He not only repaired it correctly in the allotted time, but he also gave me a quote on getting an ipod touch repaired. Very pleased with the service (thank you Yelp because that's how I found them!). I dropped my iPhone and the screen was so cracked I couldn't see anything. Finding both the insurance carrier (that was adding $10/month to my bill) and the Sherman Oaks Apple Store to be completely useless, I looked on Yelp and ended up here. My interaction was about 3 minutes - the guy came out to the front of the store really quickly, looked at my phone and told me right away how much it would cost, assured me it was completely fixable and said it would take about a half hour (got it the next day because I didn't want to wait around - they were open on Sunday for my pick up!). Quick and easy with no haggling. Phone is perfect now and I am a happy customer! read more

I dropped my phone last night at the UCLA game. Who knew I would completely smash my screen. Pieces of black plastic was falling off from around the camera area. Shockingly my phone still worked. I immediately took it to Smart Stop Wireless on Burbank and Woodman( thanks to a recommendation I had seen on yelp a year ago when my daughter broke her I phone 5 screen). Again, they are the best price in town! I thought my phone would have a huge hole where the actual phone seemed to break and not just the screen- but no. When I returned one hour later my phone looked better than new! They are young smart men running a good honest business and do incredible work! Came in with a Galaxy Note 2 that was having a SIM card error. They replaced the SIM card tray twice trying to fix the problem, but it seems like it might be the mother board. These guys refunded me almost all of my money since their work didn't fix the problem. Highly recommend !! read more

Dropped the phone off in the morning. Mark was awesome and super prompt at helping me. He didn't have any help for the day but still took care of me and said to come pick up the phone whenever I wanted. Prices are unbelievably reasonable too. Phone now back to original shape with a power button replaced. Skip the Apple Store like for $150 repair and come here for a quick $40 (I had the yelp coupon so it ended up costing me $28 total). read more

Called in today because my iPhone 5 screen had a major crack - literally 30 minutes and $70 (check in on Yelp and leave a review for $10 off!) my iPhone was as good as new. Very good service. Broke the screen on my Moto G. Looked at reviews and chose this place. They had to order the screen and it took 1 week til they could replace it. That's fine. Brought it home and the speaker wasn't working. Brought it back and had to wait another week for them to repair it. It works pretty well....not fabulous. Anyway, I'm satisfied with the workmanship but the service was a bit slow. Doesn't really matter to me since I'm not attached like glue to my phone. It might prove unacceptable to someone else. Cost for screen repair was 90 bucks. They fixed the speaker for free, as I expected. Probably even better if you have a Samsung or Iphone.....faster anyway.Thanks, guys. read more

I went to this place today to have them look at my defective charging port on my android phone. They told me I would have to bring it by to see if it was one they would have in stock. I left the phone with them for a couple hours and later received a message stating they did not have the particular port in stock and would have to order it. I called back and told them I would simply pick up the phone and take it elsewhere because they're price was too much and I knew some where that could fix it cheaper. They responded by telling me I owed them $20 for a "diagnostic". I told them they never mentioned it and they said it was in the paper I filled out when they asked for my contact info. I told them that even if that was so, it is terrible business to try to sneak in bogus charges. On top of the fact that I had told them that I already had the phone port checked at the Verizon store and they confirmed the port was bad. These guys were simply looking at the type of port I had to see if they had it in stock or not. They did not diagnose anything, and I informed them of that as well. I asked if at least, they would put the 20 towards the repair if I went with them and they said they would. After going back and forth for this for a few mins, the guy finally told me I could come pick up the phone and not pay the fee. I told him I would prefer that since I didn't appreciate the way they conducted business and thought it was sketchy. I go pick up the phone without incident and get to my car, only to find my phone won't get any service now. I spent 30 mins with 2 Verizon techs trying to trouble shoot it, to no avail. I told them what had happened with the repair shop and how it coincidentally was not working after the disagreement. I asked verizon if it was possible to sabotage a phone intentionally if the party knew how. The tech told me there are numerous ways to do something of the such from the inside of the phone but they wouldn't know without looking at it. We tried 2 dozen different troubleshootings and nothing worked. The tech then advised me the best thing to do would possibly be doing a master reboot of the phone causing me to lose everything. I told him I was going to confront the shop before I did anything more with the phone. Shortly before I went back into the shop, my phone returned to service, nearly 40 mins after I got it back from the Smart Stop guy. I don't have any proof they sabotaged my phone, but there was too much evidence and coincidence that this trouble happened after they tried to shake me down for this 20 to "diagnose" my phone. it may have been coincidence but either way these guys are sheisty and tried to get over me. Avoid Smart Stop Wireless. BAD, BAD Business. I will be reporting these guys to the Better Business Bureau. read more
