I've used a number of rodent exclusion businesses over the years and Smart Pest Pros is among the best if not the best that I've used. Everyone involved in this company, from the owner of the business to the technicians who come out to do the work, is professional, very thorough, competent. This company prides itself on being responsive and partnering with their clients to achieve a good outcome and committing to being with you until that outcome is achieved. Their employees really enjoy working at this company and feel respected. That shows in their work. Their prices were reasonable, and unlike some other companies, they didn't try to sell me things that I didn't need. I'm very pleased that I found them read more

so far so good! It's been a couple weeks now since my service with Smart and Pest Pros, and no mice insight. Matt was very professional and explained things thoroughly. He conducted a home assessment and told me where the mice were potentially coming in. Emanuel did a great job, sealing up the holes and coming back weekly to check on the mouse traps. Highly recommend. read more

I reached out to Smart Pest Pros after not getting a callback from one of the big-name pest control companies. Josh listened to my situation over the phone and came over the next day for a termite inspection. He was friendly, thorough, answered my many questions, and did a great job of explaining our options. Josh sent over a report and a reasonable bid the next morning, and was back at our house with his employee the following day to do a chemical treatment and install traps around the property. I'm very happy with our decision to work with Smart Pest Pros and will be recommending them to neighbors, friends and family. read more

We got lucky when we called Josh. He was on the road and was able to swing by Berkeley to take a look at our rodent situation a little later the same day. After he arrived, he took a look around the house and explained how he would address our problem, and we felt comfortable that we had contacted the right person. His crew later came to make sure all our crawl space openings were sealed, and fixed our crawl space access doors. If we have any other pest problems, we will use Josh again. read more

Smart Pest Pros came out merely days after my initial contact & gave a reasonable bid to trench and put mesh around my utility box. Not only were they reasonable but also got the job done very quickly. I'm a happy camper! read more

We had a horrible ant infestation, another pest control company couldn't remedy it. So I called Josh, and after several treatments our ants problem is gone. Very professional company, highly recommend! read more

I chose this company because it's local and family owned, not to mention all the good ratings, however, my appointment was put off 3 times because something else came up. If your time is valuable to you, this may not be the right fit for you. read more

The modern and knowledgeable pest control company stayed on top of ant problem that was not resolved by the old pest control company. Very professional. read more

Super responsive and I felt 100% confident I chose the right company to address my localized termite issue. Answered all my questions, even the ones I didn't think I had. Josh and his crew are top notch. If you have rodents, there's really no one else out there that will give you high touch, high tech, personalized service than Josh and his team. Extremely capable at what they do, he literally will get down and dirty to find the source(s) of entry and remediate with exclusions, traps and other methods at this disposal (even remote cameras). He and his team followed all strict COVID protocols and procedures, and his follow up was perfect. Do yourself a favor and give Josh a try. You will not be disappointed. read more

Josh was very easy to work with and was very knowledgeable. Josh was able to give us a couple options after doing an assessment. He came out and did all the work that was needed for the termite treatment and we are really happy with how it was done. read more

Josh has been great to work with, he is very knowledgeable about rodents and recommends solutions that work. We had bought a house next to open space and shortly after we moved in, we started to hear rats in the wall and found out our insulation was being pulled out into our crawl space for a nest. After getting many quotes and talking to a lot of different companies, we chose to work with Josh and Smart Pest Pros as he clearly was knowledgeable and he is very customer focus with quick replies and willing to stop by and check on things whenever we had any questions or concerns. His team sealed the underneath of our house and over a year and a half later, we still haven't had any rat problems. read more

Family owned and it reflects in their customer care. Very responsive and feel that they truly are looking out for our best interests.

I called Josh at Smart Pest Pros just from what I read on this yelp site and saw 5 stars, and Smart Pest Pros lives up to that feedback! Josh came out and examined my crawl space for unwanted pests, and I ended up subscribing to his maintenance /treatment service. Super knowledgable, friendly, courteous, respectful, and was here on my property 30 minutes after I called! These guys check all the boxes for me. Nice to see and feel old-school customer service again! read more

best pest control in town. Highly recommend it. Honest guys. Professional, affordable.

Josh and his team are amazing. He is very knowledgeable and goes above and beyond to help out. He explained all the work that would be done. Even he asked us if we had any specific activity during the procedure. Great customer service. Josh responded immediately. He called back on weekend. So happy he & his team took care of our Rodent problem. I would give Josh 10 stars if I could. We highly recommend the company. Thank you so much!!! read more

Our property backs up to open space and this summer we discovered field mice had staked out their claim in our home. We chose Smart Pest Pros after interviewing four companies based on their honesty and experience. They offered plan options rather than one quote only and didn't prey on my heightened gross-out factor to get me to unnecessarily replace my entire attic's insulation. The plan we chose included a one-year guarantee which gives me peace of mind. Smart Pest Pros worked hard to earn our business and did not oversell. I am comfortable working with them. Due to their meticulous patching of entry points, trap placement and thorough follow-up inspections we are mice-free. I highly recommend Smart Pest Pros. read more

UPDATE.......we thought there might be another problem so we called Josh. Again he was proffesional and prompt . Who else these days answers their phone right away, or calls back quickly. Josh came out and addressed our concerns. We are just so impressed with this company. Do not hesitate to call. We live in Rio Vista and so happy we found Josh! read more

Met Josh and his dad through another crawlspace company specializing in cleaning crawl and attic space. We called the latter to inspect the house after discovering some rodent droppings (which is new to us). Crawl space folks said that we would need to seal up the whole house first and trap anything inside. Once that's all done, we would proceed with replace insulation in attic and cleaning the crawlspace. I cannot day enough good things about Josh. He and his dad spent a whole day under the crawl space, in the attic, inside and outside to try and locate/seal up any possible mouse/rat entry point. Josh is very responsive, patient, and has come over on several occasions to check on traps and to address any other issues I have noticed. You can tell that he cares a lot about his craft and business. He takes a lot of pride in ensuring that all potential entry points are sealed up. Josh has been so helpful that we are working on a go forward plan where he will continue to make recurring inspections. read more

We needed to have pest control take a look at a rental house where our tenants had some experience with mice and ants. Josh was not only efficient in his response to my Yelp request for help, but he was very responsive to my calls and emails. He was able to work his schedule to accommodate my tenant's limited availability. He communicated with me while at the site to give me an update and offered up solutions. He provided solutions on the spot to help mitigate mice. He set bait for the ants inside and sprayed outside. All while being super nice and courteous to my tenant and to me in our communications. He even had a potential referral to us for someone to help replace an exterior utilities door, which was very damaged and may be one of the sources of entry for the mice. I highly recommend Josh and his team to take care of your pest control needs. read more

Great customer service. Great communication. Fantastic crew and workmanship. Highly recommend!

We recently had a summer infestation of beetles that were invading our house. Josh did an awesome job and was very thorough. He did an inspection and made sure to investigate what type of beetle it was to help the issue. He treated the perimeter of the house with special chemicals. Responsive, quick, and great attention to detail. Also very affordable and he offers great prices on regular services as well! Definitely would recommend this company to anyone having pest troubles. read more

I used Smart Exclusion for clean up and installation of new insulation of my crawl space. Josh patiently answered my questions pre- and post- work; he follows up as promised and always kept me informed if he was running late. He installed hardware cloth under the house to prevent further intrusion by rodents and other small animals. He was extremely thorough in his inspections. read more

We had a very good experience with Josh. We'd paid for rat proofing before without good results and our attic and crawl space were full of them again (despite being still under warranty with another company that did not respond to repeated problems). It wasn't cheap, but Josh and his crew created strong barriers to rats getting into (and out of) the attic and crawl space, gave us a good warranty, and came back several times to make sure the rats still inside were gone. They even went beyond the original work to put mesh over our air intakes when the rats started coming into the home after they couldn't get outside anymore. Josh has a lot of integrity and made sure we were happy with the outcome of their work. read more

Josh replied to my request immediately and he and Emmanuel worked very hard to fix our problem. They've both been back multiple times for rechecks to insure success of rat proofing under our house. Completely recommend their service. read more

We couldn't recommend Smart Pest Pros enough! We had a big rat problem for over a decade or so and they were not afraid to step up and help clean up our situation. They did a detailed inspection and responded very quickly to all our needs. We had reached out to other contractors and they seemed very intimidated by the issues with our older house and provided extremely high quotes. Smart Pest Pros provided us a very reasonable quote. They are nice people and did a great job! read more

Joshua was very thorough and spent an hour and a half on his first visit inspecting the church from basement to attic and all around the outside. In addition to identifying entry points he pointed our potential nests. We found his estimate to be fair and the follow up technicians are all polite, on-time, and happy to answer all questions. I would happily recommend Smart Pest Pros for rodent control. read more
