Unfortunately we had a bad experience with this company , brought a cracked screen but working phone then paid the $140 to fix the back of an iPhone and received the phone back with a new glass screen and broken motherboard , went to apple to get it diagnosed where the apple technician confirmed that not only did the glass service cause a malfunction now in the phone but the glass replacement service also broke the phones antena. I was referred here by my daughter's friend who shattered her iPhone screen and had it replaced just a couple of days ago. The two technicians, Baris and Jack, are located in Ontario Mills at a kiosk in front of Bath & Body Works, near the Oakley store. Enter through the AMC entrance. I Brought it back under their "warranty" they said that the screen was physically damaged. It wasn't, but I needed it fixed and they charged me full price! one moth later my screen started doing the ghost touch issue. A few months ago I shattered the corner of my screen. With no insurance and not wanting to pay Apple prices I held out for a good deal. Not wanting to really wait any longer I stopped at Smart Fix (the location in front of the police station) and asked how much it would be. After letting him know what kind of phone I had he said, "$79." GREAT! I'll take it. I even paid another $10 for a screen cover. 20 minutes later I get my phone back and it looks brand new. I was really happy. That was, until about 2 hours later. My phone started to freeze in the middle of everyday tasks. I had to do a hard restart on my phone about 15 times the first day. Now, I had 7 days to bring the phone back if I had any technical difficulties. I wasn't able to go back right away. In fact, I had to wait until Tuesday (I had it fixed on Saturday). When I finally got back to the kiosk I spoke with a different employee. I explained the issues I was having and let him know that I had NEVER had these issues before getting my phone fixed. He looked at my receipt and says, "oh, you got the generic screen. It's not as good as an original iPhone screen." I told him that I hadn't been given an option. There was only a $20 difference between what I got and what he was telling me about. I felt a little cheated. He said the other guy should have given me the option. I wish I knew this guy's name because he was super helpful and very nice. And on top of that he was very polite even though I wasn't entirely. He switched out the generic I'd been given with an original screen and he only charged me an extra $10. So, I ended up, in total with the screen cover, paying what I would have paid if the first guy had offered me the good screen. I even saved $10, of it even matters. All in all, great place. The reason they lost that last star is because I wasn't given the option to have a fully functioning phone. And that's a bummer because these guys were nice, professional; and polite. I'd com back. DONT EVEN THINK ABOUT COMING TO THEM! Save yourself the time, many phone issues, and the waste of money you'll be doing by giving them business. To begin with I was quoted one price over the phone and when I came they went up on price bc I wasn't paying cash. When that wasn't notified over the phone before I drove 20 min to come here. Second is I had to literally come back 3x in less then a month to get my phone fixed bc the screen kept going out. The first time it went out was within a week. When I came they wanted to blame it on me dropping my phone yet my phone had no damages. So I had to fight them in what their policy was and that I should be covered bc my screen was not cracked. So they fixed it after me arguing with them about their policy. 2 weeks later after it got fixed for the second time I had to come back again bc I had a line on my screen and again they were giving me all these excuses as to why they couldn't fix it. They tried to blame it on my screen being cracked when in reality the only thing that was chipped was the glass protector on it. So I was still covered by their warranty bc my screen had no damage. But then they said bc my glass protector was chipped bc I dropped my phone they couldn't fix it. So I argued that that wasn't stated on their policy so they couldn't refuse to fix it. So once again they did after I threatened to leave them a bad review. Again my phone gets messed up bc every time I try to tap one area on my screen it touches somewhere else. So the touch is no longer accurate. I paid over $100 when I was stated I would be charged $90. To find out if I would have just gone through Apple it would have been cheaper and I would have still been under Apple warranty and had a better job bc it would have been fixed by the manufacturer. But I was over here trying to be cheap I ended up paying more. GO THROUGH YOUR PHONE COMPANY OR MANUFACTURER ITS CHEAPER AND WORTH IT. No my phones warranty is voided bc I let these ppl fix my screen with their shitty job. They will find any excuse to not fix your phone when your under their warranty coverage. Never buy from these people! They are liars! They replaced my battery and home button and after 7 months I noticed that my battery started to heat up and started to drain faster. I contacted them and they said there's nothing they could do because their warranty expired after 6 months. if I wanted to I could buy another new battery from them. So I gave up and I noticed that the phone started to lift from one side. I decided to buy a new phone, I put this in my desk, a about a week later I was going to pull it out to maybe sell it or go trade it in...the phone was completely broken! This is a hazard and should not be legal! If the battery would have exploded my desk could have caught fire. These people use CHEAP poorly made batteries, and are dangerous! I came here on July 6, 2020 for a broken screen on a iPhone 8 Plus. I called to ask for a price. I was told $50 over the phone then when I got there it went up to $65 but I ended up being charged $70.04. They didn't say anything about tax. ( I have the receipt to prove it.) I didn't noticed until after I had already paid & seen the receipt. They don't give REFUNDS. Now my phone has issues that it didn't have before coming to this place. First issue that I noticed was that the coloring of the apps are off. 2nd issue is that my battery drains much faster after I went to this place. 3rd issue I've notice is that I can't take a call like a normal person I have to put it on speaker or have headphones on to take or make a call since I can't hear anything. I should of read the reviews beforehand but I didn't. So I just ended up paying $100 to t mobile for a replacement phone. Should of done that from the start. So I just spent $170.04 on a phone. Just got my cracked screen fixed this past weekend right after I dropped my iPhone 6 and almost shattered to bits. I initially went to my phone service provider to see what options they had for me, but wasn't to satisfied when the gentleman told me it was going to take longer than expected and I basically wanted my phone fix ASAP since I had a trip to Mexico that night. So, after all that I was able to find this place "Smart Fix" through the Ontario Mills directory and then looked thru the Yelp ratings. Saw and read all kinds of ratings; good/bad, direct/in-direct...you name it. So I quickly made my decision and headed over there to their kiosks. The guy who helped me (name unknown, but with a Russian/European accent) was very nice and jokeful...he said it was going to be about 2 hours joking back at me... But, it basically took him less than 20 minutes, maybe a bit more. He knew what he was doing, very professional and masterful at his craft. He repaired my cracked iPhone screen in no time (with a 6-month warranty) and I was off to my pre-vacation duties. My screen is still in tact and have been taking care of my phone night and day, because I simply don't want that same thing to happen; it wasn't cheap, but well worth the process and service I got from these guys at Smart Fix! I passed by this kiosk on 8/19/2017 at around 1700 thinking they could swap out my vibration motor on my iPhone 6+ because it stopped working maybe 2 months ago. I've reset and reformatted the phone prior and diagnosed it to be the vibration motor. The phone, throughout the years I've had it, has been working perfectly fine with about 2 instances of problems with the battery going from 70% instantaneously to 30% and shutting off. Anyway, I gave them a working phone that could turn on, text, call, FaceTime, play music, etc., and 45 mins later, I am talking to another representative of Smart Fix named Rodrigo, telling me that my phone has the touch disease, motherboard failed, "did everything they could" spiel, and referred me to FIND a mom and pop shop to fix my phone.
