One, after swabbing the numbing agent in my mouth Dr. Elmassian immediately injected me with the large needle of the anesthetic. IT HURT LIKE HELL! Typically dentists wait at least 1 minute before they use a needle on their patients after the inside of the mouth is swabbed. It was awful but he didn't seem to care that I was almost screaming and moaning in agony. Then while he did my procedure he talked very unprofessionally to his young female assistant who clearly was uncomfortable and laughing nervously throughout Dr. Elmassian's gossip about other people. The front desk staff, hygienist, and dentist were all wonderful. Unfortunately, my experience completely changed when it came time to discuss the treatment plan and pricing. The person handling this did not explain my treatment plan to me at all. I was presented with a treatment plan totaling over $16,500 and asked to sign it without anyone actually going over what I was agreeing to. When I tried to ask about it, he cut me off twice, saying, "I already explained it to you." He had not. I was stunned by how dismissive and condescending the interaction was. I came in with a tooth causing significant pain, fully prepared to have my dental work done here, and left knowing I would need to find another dentist. It's incredibly disappointing that one interaction at the very end ruined what had otherwise been such a positive experience.
