I wanted to have my carpets cleaned before my grandchildren arrived and hired Smart Choice based on their reviews. My service was performed on 5/31/19 and I wasn't going to leave a review, but, since I chose them based on their reviews I wanted others to know of my experience. My husband and I are the only ones living in our home and generally clean the carpets ourselves. We thought we'd hire professionals this time because our backs wouldn't stand up to doing the stairs. The job consisted of cleaning the carpets in my family room, dining room and two sets of stairs. We don't use our dining room so the carpet was pretty clean with the exception of an area where we cut through the dining room to get to the butlers pantry. They did a good job on the dining room and stairs, but, my family room looked horrible. There were dark streak marks in the carpet that the technician advised would "disappear" once it dried and would be easy to just vacuum out. I asked that he go over it again but the concern was there would be more water added and the carpet would take longer to dry. Besides, he said he didn't have time because he had to return to the job before mine to do some re-cleaning. Once the carpet dried it looked just as horrible as when wet! A few days later, I re-cleaned the carpet myself which in hindsight I should have done in the first place. I could have called the office and had them send someone out to re-clean the carpet, but, after such a poor job it wasn't worth removing all the furniture from the room again and I no longer had faith in their work. I believe they rushed to complete the job, which they were 30 minutes late for and completed in an hour and twenty five minutes, so they could go back to the previous job and still make it to their next appointment. I would not use them again and would not recommend them. I gave them 2 stars because they did a good job on my stairs and the walkway through my dining room. read more

I am incredibly disappointed with this cleaning company's lack of professionalism and poor customer service. Two days prior, they emailed me to confirm my cleaning appointment but never showed up. When I called to inquire, they didn't know why I was not on the schedule, but they said someone would follow up on Tuesday. I finally received a call on Thursday. I was told the no-show was because of an issue with a past payment. I informed the lady I had already updated my credit card information during my last cleaning appointment two weeks prior. Despite this, the representative insisted they had called me "many times" and left voicemails. Upon checking my call records, I found that they only called once and left no messages. Instead of owning up to their mistake, I felt the representative blamed me for failing to update their records by not emailing them back. I had to reiterate several times that I had spoken with someone to update my information. If their team didn't do their job, why am I being penalized as a customer? This experience was incredibly frustrating, and their dismissive attitude left me feeling unvalued as a client. I've stopped using their services because they don't prioritize their customers. If you're looking for reliable service where the customer is treated respectfully, I'd recommend looking elsewhere. read more

My experience with Smart choice was excellent. From the setting up of the appointment until I signed for the completion of the work the whole process was smooth and well done. I especially appreciated the gentleman who did the work; he walked through my apartment, examined the rug and sofa to be cleaned - asked me pertinant questions about age, how long since things had been cleaned - and what the outcomes might be. An example was that my sofa had not been cleaned in 20 years - he reminded me that obviously over that amount of time there was no way to get it completely clean - that the one old stain that I had would probably not come out, but look better -he was correct on all points. It ended up looking better than I ever thought that it could. I also asked his expertise about two other "different" kinds of carpets for a later date... his information was honest and demonstrated his understanding of fabrics, history and possibility. Not to mention that he was cheerful and kind. I will certainly not wait 20 years again ! And will call Smart Choice Cleaning the next time around. read more

I requested a short-notice appointment to clean a chair. The chair had not been cleaned in 8 years and looked it. The man from Smart Choice arrived on time and got to work. He advised me that although the cleaning code on the chair called for dry cleaning, his training and experience told him only a water-based cleaning solution would get the dirt out. He demonstrated on a small portion of the chair to show me how the dry cleaning method was not effective. I authorized using the water-based cleaning method, and the results were remarkably good. My wife and I were pleased with the "new" clean chair, and the Smart Choice man even spot-cleaned two dirty spots on a second chair ... all in a little more than a half hour. It was a good job, and the Smart Choice man was proficient at his job and nice to talk with. read more

The cleansers did not make efficient use of time. I expect cleaner for a two person crew. They left webs and cleaned the paint off my stove hood by spraying a too strong product and leaving it too long. No remuneration. Also, the cleaners did not have a car so they stayed and talked whle pretending to fold laundry. They could have been more efficient if they spread out instead of socializing. They stayed way too long. upside: The supervisor was great. She checked the cleaners work and asked them to do a better job. The superviosr was awesome. I think the cleaning crew makes a big difference. I had Zonia( i think) It's to bad she didn't know I spoke spanish. She probably would have watched what she said. read more

Smart Choice responded to my inquiry the very next day (Saturday) and had a crew in my apartment on Monday. They did an excellent job! And I had a very specific list that was followed to a tee! I also opted for carpet cleaning (I was moving out) and the carpets look pretty good, I even got them done at a great price! I will definitely use Smart Choice again if I ever need and I highly recommend them to anyone in need of cleaning services. What's crazy about how well this all went is that I haven't met anyone in person AND left a key under my mat. I was nervous about doing it that way but I am not disappointed. read more

My first experience using this company was very good! The staff I communicated with via phone was courteous and helpful. The gentleman (Mr. Austrie) who arrived on time to clean carpet in several rooms and upholstered pieces of furniture was courteous, confident and conducted himself in a professional manner. I hired Smart Choice Cleaning because I was sick of hiring a different maid every other week. I saw they had a deal going on, however when they came to clean my house they claimed I could not redeem the offer. It took them almost 4 hours to clean my 1 floor 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom house. At one point I caught them sitting in the kitchen conversing about how their individual weekends had been.
