Hello, I was at cashier number six today. I had about 15 items I wait more than 20 to 25 minutes. The lady she was kind of old don't mind but at the same time they were another cashier been already open was cashier # 2 but was kind of far away and was already busy After a little bit cashier # 1 open the one closest to the Liquor area they didn't call nobody . They just start taking whatever customer from that side and then cashier number five open she start taking random customer without telling us to come. Let me help you you know and I had my child with me. He started getting very frustrated because he has issue. I was still standing holding my basket. They were people behind us like she started taking them just randomly when I get closer to my cashier. I ask her where is the manager? She say cashier number five is the manager so after she finishing all my stuff I go ask her is that how you guys help customer randomly or you should come to the person who has been waiting for a long time to help him first She goes to me. I will try to do better next time. i'm sorry to say that very bad customer service very bad manager attitude. My name is May today is July 7, 2025. The time I was at the store 6:46 PM at Sweetwater location 933 Sweetwater Rd. Spring Valley. Again the cashier her name was Norma. She was very sweet person respectful

This smart and final is located off of Highway 54 in Spring Valley and next to Target. The shopping complex has also gained a Starbucks and Chick-fil-A as well, which makes the parking a bit busy at times. When the store was brand new, it was clean and nice. The store is still clean, but I find that they are low in stock for certain items, not sure if this is an occurrence with all Smart and Final chains but it has been something I've noticed lately. This location is convenient when I am headed to my friends house since it is on the way. The stairs walkway from the street should be avoided, as transients have urinated there or are typically around that area. Otherwise, I can't ever recall having any bad experiences with staff.

Well, they have wine, that's good...

I stopped in this newly opened Smart & Final Extra after work on my way home to pick up some water, but as usual, I left with more than just the water. The store was very well organized and moderately busy when I arrived. I really liked their black carts, because they were very sturdy and had very good wheels. I was able to pick up a couple Crystal Geysers 35 packs of 16 oz water bottles at $3.50 each. They had some great prices on paper goods, so I picked up some bowls and plates. I also picked up some chicken legs and ground pork at a very reasonable price. This store has a very nice meat department, a great produce department, including an organic section, and a large wine selection. Their prices are very competitive, but as in any store, you need to shop to find those great deals. Also, you do not need a membership, so anyone is welcomed. Customer service at the register was very good. The lady was a good spirits, she was quick, and I was out the door in not time..

Spring Valley. We come here once in a while. Today I came in to get lunch for the family. Nice big size Smart & Final. Lots of parking in front. Best to go here in the day time. From my experience, there can some shady looking people hanging out late at night. So be alert. Our cashier Pearla was super kind, nice & friendly. There's construction next door, not sure what the stores will be. But at least there will be more shopping places in Spring Valley.

Bread, croissant bread, croissant, Mahler bread

Smart and final is my go to for grocery shopping. Also, All of the Mahler breads are amazing. The croissant bread is a must try.

They also have a great selection of bulk grains, nuts, seeds and snacks with prices a lot better than Sprouts.

It sounded good but we also weren't really feeling like going "out" and something that could be delivered or that we could pick up seemed like the better play. All the typical poke places showed up when we searched but none of them really sold us. Well, good thing I remembered that Valley Farm's poke game is strong... really strong. Believe me, I know that those of you who don't know Valley Farm will likely say "really?" when I detail that this sleepy little Spring Valley market kicks out poke as good as anywhere else in SD, but it's true. It's a sleeper of a choice but the quality and price will make you a fan, trust me.

The store is clean, beautifully organized, and filled with high-quality products you don't always find at larger chain grocery stores. What I love most is their fresh selection, especially the produce, specialty items, and unique gourmet finds. Everything looks vibrant and carefully displayed. You can tell they take pride in what they offer. They also have a full butcher shop with everything you could desire. The selection is impressive, and it's wonderful knowing you can get high-quality cuts prepared fresh right there in the store. It adds such a personalized, old-fashioned market feel that you just don't see everywhere anymore. Another favorite of mine is their fresh-pressed cold juice blends, which I absolutely love. They taste incredibly fresh, and you can truly tell the difference in quality. It's such a treat to grab one while shopping. The staff has always been friendly, helpful, and welcoming. It truly feels like a neighborhood market where customer service still matters. Whether I am picking up everyday essentials or something special for a gathering, I know I will find something wonderful here. If you appreciate quality, variety, and a pleasant shopping experience, Valley Farms Market is definitely worth a visit. I always leave happy!

Today, I was looking for baby items. The entire aisle was empty! I asked a woman in the pharmacy for help and she asked around then said she'd look with me. We found the relocated baby aisle and she let me know the store will undergo remodeling. I think it's great because it could use a new look. I do think they should've had a sign posted about the relocation as well as the sign posted about where to find formula. Ambiance is nothing special storewise and occasionally there are some nasty customers. For instance, a guy was walking around visibly sick and huddled over then sneezed without covering his mouth and I could see all the nastiness fly out of his mouth. I was so disgusted. I like the sales and the ease of self checkout. The lines can get long if multiple people need assistance at self checkout. I like what I assume is security at the entrance/exit. I've seen one follow people around. I also like using instacart pickup or delivery with this store. It's helpful when I'm busy and don't want both kids in the store shopping.

I went in to grab the rain check (one rain check for FOUR PACKS bone in ribeye at 8.99/lb, and then TWO PACKS boneless ribeye for 7.99/lb. There was some confusion but everyone I spoke to was AMAZING. We went to pick up the ribeye today after calling and they said they had it aside for me. The manager at the front ringing us up to threatened to not honor our rain checks because they didn't make sense to her. She was arguing and raising her voice with the staff and it was a wild show. She was embarrassing the poor employees. After all said and done, she only honored the quantity of 2 on the bone in ribeye. Everyone else was amazing. The meat dept originally calling to let me know they wouldn't have it and I could have a rain check. To Bryan helping me out, and whoever I spoke to on the phone earlier today letting them know I was coming by to get them. The manager, however, is a demeaning miserable woman. Her poor employees. EVERYONE would get 5 stars, and her.... Zero. Place better management. A manager should lead by example and not treat people so horrendous. Granted, it was later in the evening, but there was nothing out. I went over to the produce section, and the new bags are absolutely horrible. I split five of them just trying to bag corn and ended up throwing the corn straight into the basket. Same thing with avocados -- they kept falling through, breaking the bag or ripping it. When I went to check out, there were no cashiers available. It was all self-checkout, and I had a full cart. I really didn't feel like playing Jenga, loading my groceries up and then unloading them back into the cart. I ended up doing more shopping, hoping someone would come back from break. When they did, it was packed and people were trying to leave. Very frustrating. I've been going there since it was Lucky Food Basket, then Vons, now Albertsons. I think I'm going to have to start going somewhere else. It's just not convenient anymore, and the upkeep is slipping. The people who work there -- the majority of them -- are incredibly nice. All of them are nice, but something's going on with that store!

The market is well sorted with lots of interesting items and fair prices. The only thing is their tall cans of craft beer. A lot of them were old or had no date on the bottom of the can and as someone who works in the beer industry let me tell you. Beer does go bad. Not in a you can't drink it kind of way but flavor declines, especially craft beer. Skunky, taste changes, aroma changes, color changes, it's just not great. I picked up a can that was dated May 2025, for craft that is OLD and not good. Not a problem for your average person but I'm just letting y'all know. Nonetheless this place is delicious, the service is great, fast, friendly. The food is overall good, the market is nice and well sorted. What I don't understand are the comments that say I been here so many times but never left a good review, suddenly they have one bad experience over something like not enough lettuce or they ran out of something and leave a bad review.
