Nice local grocery and they typically have the food that I need. I visit at least once a week. Usually people are kind and ready to assist whenever I need help. Today, I was looking for baby items. The entire aisle was empty! I asked a woman in the pharmacy for help and she asked around then said she'd look with me. We found the relocated baby aisle and she let me know the store will undergo remodeling. I think it's great because it could use a new look. I do think they should've had a sign posted about the relocation as well as the sign posted about where to find formula. Ambiance is nothing special storewise and occasionally there are some nasty customers. For instance, a guy was walking around visibly sick and huddled over then sneezed without covering his mouth and I could see all the nastiness fly out of his mouth. I was so disgusted. I like the sales and the ease of self checkout. The lines can get long if multiple people need assistance at self checkout. I like what I assume is security at the entrance/exit. I've seen one follow people around. I also like using instacart pickup or delivery with this store. It's helpful when I'm busy and don't want both kids in the store shopping. read more

I shop here a lot. On the way home. Staff is Halley good but they are no longer sufficiently staffed for the business. No one at the Service desk. Lines are long and self check out it a joke. All that said I had an issue with some Flowers that died in theee days. I get a lot of flowers here so I told the lady I charge of the floral dept about my issue and once she had determined the exact type of flowers I had handed me a "today fresh" bunch so she gets a five -the store gets a one, hence the three star rating. read more

6/14/26 I've been shopping at the Albertsons on Sweetwater Road for decades now and I've watched it decline, especially these last few years. First, more times than one I have had to report expired products like cereal, yogurt and milk. Today there were two rows of Horizon low fat milk with an expiration date of May something. Mind you, today is June 14! I reported it to a staff person standing close by and she had it immediately removed; but how many were sold to customers before then? I look for expiration dates; but what about those customers who don't. We should trust that the store is stocking fresh products, whether we look at the dates or not. Secondly, some of the employees need training in public relations. One checker in particular, Kaylana, who usually has a disgruntled scowl on her face, can get downright rude and nasty over the least little thing. I've made up my mind to avoid her line should I ever bother to come back to this store. Lastly, when you report an issue to the manager about how you were treated as a customer, he is indifferent and pretty much blows off your concerns, making excuses for the employee. No wonder they feel free to snap your head off at the drop of a hat! Most of the employees are cordial and helpful; but it only takes a few rude employees and some expired products to ruin your shopping experience! The Albertsons in Lemon Grove, although smaller, is much more customer friendly. In addition, their deli, bakery and floral departments are outstanding! read more

Bakery here is great. They continue to prove to me that they are reliable with consistent service. The African-American Man and Hispanic/LatinX Woman who work in this location's bakery are AWESOME! The deli workers are not helpful at all, even when you stand for 20mins at the bakery counter. I knew that the bakery worker was on a break and I was fine with waiting to make my order, but it bothered me that NO deli workers even asked if they could assist (show me a cake book, tell me that the person should be back soon, hell just interact with the customer...) This bakery has a lot of yummy stuff. They even have sugar free baked packaged options. Overall, this is a great place for baked custom cakes, and cupcakes, and they are good for parties and occasions. read more

This morning at 10:50 4/2/2025 I went to the deli to order 1/2 fried chicken and 1/2 habenero chicken. I asked the young man if he can put the habenero in a plastic container or the plastic that the whole chicken comes in. He stated he couldn't do it. I said ok I'll ask Mikees if he can help me. So Mike's asked the you man to put the chicken in a container or plastic bag. Then the director Tamara came in, now I felt ganged up with director coming up there! Really! I was an employee for 10 plus 5 years and if they treated me like that I can't imagine how the customers are treated. Here there is people walking out with free food and I just asked for something so my juice will not soke into the bag. I felt the director had to explain the same thing that employee told me. Ok I'm a customer not a kid. My husband and I shop at this Albertsons store because I love you x workers, they have known me for a long time. I absolutely hate this store, there's very little about it that I like, besides the butcher counter, and a couple of the cashiers. I've had many horrible experiences here, and that's why I rarely communicate more than I have to with any employee which is not my character. This is what happened today. It may sound trivial to you, but I am sick of wasting money on groceries only to get home and find mold on them or they're expired or not expired, but they're stale, because the package is already broken open. Today on August 22, 2022 I took back stale bad cookies from your fresh bakery area. They were burst open and stale, I had no problem swapping that for new cookies. However, while I was there, I picked up one of your single slice pieces of cake and I got home only to find out about six hours later when I was gonna try the cake, that it was mold filled and that's disgusting because I'm a heart transplant recipient. I am immunocompromised, and I cannot tolerate such irresponsible service .... and I'm searching for words for how to describe my disgust.. I think that you get my meaning, and my name is in your database, and I hate that store. I hate it, and I hate the management especially. On 02/08/26 I chose to go to an Albertsons to buy some seltzer water and took my dog with me. Since my dog likes to hang his head out I decided to go an Albertson's that's about 2 miles away from the Albertson's location I regularly go to. I parked and kept the windows down for my dog that will wait in the truck. It was warm out on this day. There were no shopping carts out front at all. So I just walked in the store and immediately saw the seltzer water stacked on an end isle next to the cash registers. There was a sale that read "3 for $13." I put 3 cases in my arms and turned around to the register where I grabbed the water. I watched a man in front of me set down his seasoned chicken drumsticks and 2 bottles of soda. I put my items on the belt behind his and there was an old man behind me that also bought the seasoned chicken drumsticks. When it was the mans turn in front of me I noticed the lady at the register ("Kaylana") just look at the guy rudely as he was asking for 2 bottles of alcohol to go with his chicken and soda. As he was waiting for another staff member to get the alcohol she said to the man as she was holding up a bottle of soda with one hand and shaking it like a tamborine, "Do you want this or not?!" I immediately wondered if they knew each other for her to be so hateful toward him. She shook up his soda! This is the type of person that would spit in your food!.. then she drop slams the bottle of soda on the checkout glass. He pays and leaves. Now it's my turn and this is the first time I have ever been to this location. She says hello to me, it wasn't a welcoming hello but at least I got one. She rang up my groceries as I was putting in my phone number to get the "3 for $13" deal. She called out the price super quick and all I said was "did the 3 for $13 ring up?" And she said "I don't know, what do you want? It's $15.29 do you want it or not?!" I was taken aback so I said "Why are you being rude?" And she responded 'You're being rude!" I responded "I just asked you a question about the price, and now I see it on the screen." I tapped my credit card to pay and she just raised up her hand and dropped my receipt on the counter. I asked her for her name and she responded with, "What is your name?" I then asked her where the manager is and she pointed away. I walked that direction another staff member pointed to a man wearing a light blue Albertson's polo shirt. I calmly walked over to him and got his attention by saying "hello, sir!" The second time he turned around and looked at me with eyebrows raised. I sat my water cases on a stack of brown paper bags and began by telling him (name tag: James-5th Manager) about my very first experience at this store. His body language coupled with his verbal disinterest I followed up with "do you care to know who it was." And he said well you didn't tell me which number register I was in. I told him that I didn't look and gently held up my receipt from the top edge to take from me. At this point he did his best to attempt to turn the situation on me saying I held the receipt up as if I didn't it with an attitude. I was absolutely collected to allow James the opportunity to correct the situation and even reminded him of this. When I put my receipt back between the cases of water to carry out I told him "never mind. I see where the problem is trickling down from. I will just share my experience online. He then started to act like he cared and finally be considerate to my shopping experience. I was mature in my place and just told him, "no, I am done here. You already had the opportunity for correction. this entire experience was totally unnecessary. I have a dog in my truck and I have to go." I am sure it is all on video. I remember why I don't shop at Albertsons, at least at this location. Lines are always super long ! They have 14 checkout stations and only (3) are open . Really ??? What's the point of investing in that many checkout stations if only a few at a times are actually being utilized. I come here because it's in the plaza near my place and it's just convenient although pricey. I like it here though because it's pretty empty although the lines can get super long and they could work on getting more workers on the registers but it goes by pretty quick. The workers are what makes the rating here they're always so nice and personable and they genuinely seem like they enjoy their jobs! Some of them are funny too Parking is okay since it is shared in a plaza with numerous businesses. I also love their pharmacy here as well. I've never had a bad experience here. read more

They just removed all of their handicapped parking, so if you are handicapped... good luck finding a spot anywhere in the mall. They used to have like 8 handicapped parking spots on the side of the building which proved easy access, but they are all gone and are now all regular parking spots. I have never been discriminated against or judged in a grocery store like today. Assuming someone is on government assistance and to ensure someone is entering all bags with a disclaimer of because "people on EBT don't count their bags" is completely wrong. To add after "do you need me to scan the water and potatoes" I respond no I got them. She goes "don't forget them" is just a reminder your store supervisor/manager discriminates of people on EBT and assumes someone of color is on government assistance. Mind you these statements were not made to other people in the self check out that she was assisting in ear distance. Now what if I was on government assistance do you think I would feel comfortable to come back with these type of remarks!? Even not on government assistance I do not feel comfortable or welcomed come back to this store because your supervisor/manager made an assumption and discriminated. My hopes is that leadership higher than her takes this matter seriously and does not support or condone their employees that act this way. I came by here early in the morning to pick up a couple of tubs of ice cream for a little celebration we were having at work. When I arrived, I went directly to the ice cream aisle and it was being stocked. I was happy to see that they had a variety of flavors. I used to do my grocery shopping here all the time since I live close by but had a horrible experience here and will never shop here again. The cashier refused service to me because I wasn't wearing a mask but instead of asking me to put one on, she started yelling at me and told me to get the hell out of there. The bagger also started telling me off. If people choose to wear a mask or not, no one deserves to be disrespected and treated the way they treated me. The worst part is that I told the manager what happened and he did not seem surprised or the least bit sorry. He said he would take care of it, but from what I could see from the conversation he had with the cashier, nothing happened. Pros: convinient location, Cons: Long lines, expensive groceries, This is the closest grocery store to my house therefore I come here frequently. There is always long lines here, the fast lane is never fast, it's kinda messy. But hey they usually have everything in stock and im too lazy to drive further for some milk and eggs. I had a christmas gift card purchase problem one time. Guy at register was lost and not helpful (still works there, i avoid that line.. lol). However the manager was delightful and got my situation fixed days later. For the amount of years i have been going here and only have 1 problem i think thats a plus!
