The chicken options for the deli.
    Chelsea S.

Hannah at the fresh food deli was INCREDIBLE!! She had amazing service and a kind attitude! The store wasn't too crowded and I was in and out with everything I needed pretty quickly because of her help. Love this neighborhood Albertsons

This is the container the worker wouldn't put my habanero in and call 911 for the director.

This morning at 10:50 4/2/2025 I went to the deli to order 1/2 fried chicken and 1/2 habenero chicken. I asked the young man if he can put the habenero in a plastic container or the plastic that the whole chicken comes in. He stated he couldn't do it. I said ok I'll ask Mikees if he can help me. So Mike's asked the you man to put the chicken in a container or plastic bag. Then the director Tamara came in, now I felt ganged up with director coming up there! Really! I was an employee for 10 plus 5 years and if they treated me like that I can't imagine how the customers are treated. Here there is people walking out with free food and I just asked for something so my juice will not soke into the bag. I felt the director had to explain the same thing that employee told me. Ok I'm a customer not a kid. My husband and I shop at this Albertsons store because I love you x workers, they have known me for a long time. The next time I come in I hope I am not treated like this again or I will call corporate. I want to always thank Mikees for his service for his x employee. Thank you again

Images of a moldy cake sold today at Albertsons on Sweetwater Road.

I absolutely hate this store, there's very little about it that I like, besides the butcher counter, and a couple of the cashiers. I've had many horrible experiences here, and that's why I rarely communicate more than I have to with any employee which is not my character. This is what happened today. The following is a state, but I tried to submit directly to Albertsons, but the option to send would never appear on the screen so I yelped it. "Hi, unfortunately this is not a positive contact as I shop at the Albertsons at 543 Sweetwater Rd., Spring Valley, CA 91979 store number 758 Director Tamara Gibson who is new. It may sound trivial to you, but I am sick of wasting money on groceries only to get home and find mold on them or they're expired or not expired, but they're stale, because the package is already broken open. Today on August 22, 2022 I took back stale bad cookies from your fresh bakery area. They were burst open and stale, I had no problem swapping that for new cookies. However, while I was there, I picked up one of your single slice pieces of cake and I got home only to find out about six hours later when I was gonna try the cake, that it was mold filled and that's disgusting because I'm a heart transplant recipient. I am immunocompromised, and I cannot tolerate such irresponsible service .... and I'm searching for words for how to describe my disgust.. I think that you get my meaning, and my name is in your database, and I hate that store. I hate it, and I hate the management especially. I wish that I could attach pictures of this nasty disgusting cake that I am going to take back tomorrow which means I keep going back to the same damned store to return crappy products that they should know better than selling. (Oh wait, I can) It is so they don't even check to see, the status or freshness of their products, they just sell them and some of the cashiers aren't much better at all.

Do love the hand sanitizer near check out station .
    Julie G.

I remember why I don't shop at Albertsons, at least at this location. Lines are always super long ! They have 14 checkout stations and only (3) are open . Really ??? What's the point of investing in that many checkout stations if only a few at a times are actually being utilized. Specially now during this pandemic, let's keep Americans safe and get customers in n out of the store . Specially since many people don't keep 6ft apart. I do thank you Albertsons for providing hand sanitizer.

Someone call the health department because their rails need to be replaced in the grocery section.

It sounded good but we also weren't really feeling like going "out" and something that could be delivered or that we could pick up seemed like the better play. All the typical poke places showed up when we searched but none of them really sold us. Well, good thing I remembered that Valley Farm's poke game is strong... really strong. Believe me, I know that those of you who don't know Valley Farm will likely say "really?" when I detail that this sleepy little Spring Valley market kicks out poke as good as anywhere else in SD, but it's true. It's a sleeper of a choice but the quality and price will make you a fan, trust me.

The store is clean, beautifully organized, and filled with high-quality products you don't always find at larger chain grocery stores. What I love most is their fresh selection, especially the produce, specialty items, and unique gourmet finds. Everything looks vibrant and carefully displayed. You can tell they take pride in what they offer. They also have a full butcher shop with everything you could desire. The selection is impressive, and it's wonderful knowing you can get high-quality cuts prepared fresh right there in the store. It adds such a personalized, old-fashioned market feel that you just don't see everywhere anymore. Another favorite of mine is their fresh-pressed cold juice blends, which I absolutely love. They taste incredibly fresh, and you can truly tell the difference in quality. It's such a treat to grab one while shopping. The staff has always been friendly, helpful, and welcoming. It truly feels like a neighborhood market where customer service still matters. Whether I am picking up everyday essentials or something special for a gathering, I know I will find something wonderful here. If you appreciate quality, variety, and a pleasant shopping experience, Valley Farms Market is definitely worth a visit. I always leave happy!

I went in to grab the rain check (one rain check for FOUR PACKS bone in ribeye at 8.99/lb, and then TWO PACKS boneless ribeye for 7.99/lb. There was some confusion but everyone I spoke to was AMAZING. We went to pick up the ribeye today after calling and they said they had it aside for me. The manager at the front ringing us up to threatened to not honor our rain checks because they didn't make sense to her. She was arguing and raising her voice with the staff and it was a wild show. She was embarrassing the poor employees. After all said and done, she only honored the quantity of 2 on the bone in ribeye. Everyone else was amazing. The meat dept originally calling to let me know they wouldn't have it and I could have a rain check. Granted, it was later in the evening, but there was nothing out. I went over to the produce section, and the new bags are absolutely horrible. I split five of them just trying to bag corn and ended up throwing the corn straight into the basket. Same thing with avocados -- they kept falling through, breaking the bag or ripping it. When I went to check out, there were no cashiers available. It was all self-checkout, and I had a full cart. I really didn't feel like playing Jenga, loading my groceries up and then unloading them back into the cart. I ended up doing more shopping, hoping someone would come back from break. When they did, it was packed and people were trying to leave. Very frustrating. I've been going there since it was Lucky Food Basket, then Vons, now Albertsons. I think I'm going to have to start going somewhere else. It's just not convenient anymore, and the upkeep is slipping. The people who work there -- the majority of them -- are incredibly nice. All of them are nice, but something's going on with that store!

The Vons even though I shopped there from time to time needed a remodel big time. It was always a graveyard when I shopped there.
