This post is not intended for Albertsons employees, rather the Starbucks that is located in the store. I witnessed a terrible situation with staff members from Starbucks. I asked their names before I left the store. Gailynn, who said she was the manager, and Michael. The two were very Unprofessional and disrespectful towards a customer. I overheard how they treated a customer because she used an EBT card to purchase her drink. They made negative comments to each other in front of me and others in the line. They need customer service training immediately! They were very unprofessional, and according to Gailynn, she was the Starbucks manager there. She needs to be retrained. Honestly just come here when everything else is closed. Usually for a quick milk run. The other day I went because I really needed dish detergent and it took me so long to find any because apparently they've gone like "all natural" or something?? So all the fish soap prices were up through the ceiling because of how good for the planet they are.... ummm, I can't afford $11 dish soap.... OMG! I thought I knew the worst of the worst in grocery store land. I've made so many purchases and even forgiven this place for selling me the occasional rancid chicken, moldy fruit and strangely stinky and or damp box of trash bags. This week was the last straw with this horrid place. The VeriFone terminals were down and they couldn't process my payment. I'm not sure why all of the 1 stars. I love this store! Nicely stocked, great produce etc etc. All of the employees are helpful and friendly. I often drive 5 mi further (from Emerald Hills) beaus of how nice it is. I recently had a problem with an item and also found that I had paid for some batteries that I forgot to bag. James the manager made good on both without question and I was driving home happy. Old time customer service. I'll be making the drive more often. read more

This is my neighborhood grocery store, unfortunately. I've tried this location many times. I wish it was good. Never had a good experience shopping here. They ought to just tear this place down and start from scratch. Too big, too expensive, customer service isn't very good, parking sucks, dairy old, produce expensive and inconsistent, dead atmosphere. It's a disgrace to the community. My apologies to those who may like shopping here. But something needs to be said. This is probably the best grocery store in the greater Spring Valley area, not only for the size, but the quality of products available, cleanliness and wide selection of products. Their produce section alone is impressive. It stretches for a large portion of the left side of the store, but also has a wide variety of quality fruits & veggies that anyone would be satisfied with. In fact every department has a large amount of space for their selection. The staff is exceptionally nice and accommodating - they are available for questions and know exactly where everything located. Another thing I find awesome about this location is that they always have creative displays, regardless of the department. It's very appealing and drives business, regardless if people are aware of they are affecting them or not. They have a giant parking lot they share with the Rite Aid, Chase, McDonalds and other small restaurants located in the lot. read more

Had the worst experience I've ever had at any establishment at this albertsons location. The meat department lady with the crazy eyebrows would not honor a coupon right after the manger honored it for the lady in front of me, proceeded to start an argument with me after explaining to her that it was store policy to honor coupons whether misprints or not...A manager resolved the situation in a very nice manner and gave me the meat for free (around $3 worth of chicken). After paying and telling the other black manager who happened to be working the cash register that the other manager said it was free, he kind of laughed and said enjoy your free chicken in a rude manner. I stopped by to pick up some cheese and meat for a sandwich the next day. The guy behind counter was wearing a mask and plastic gloves, both looked dirty. He washed his gloves on a dirty rag. I gave him my order and half way thru slicing my meat order he walked away and coughed really hard. Then he sliced my cheese and asked if I needed anything else, I said no. Then he started making noises and said "sorry, I have to make quick trip to the bathroom, sorry!" Then he made noises of discomfort as he ran to the back of the store, I hope he made it. Pro: You can get some good deals here when they are on sale, like choice grade rib eye or New York steaks for $4.47 a pound,or things from the clearance rack, or from using the Safeway app. Con: The checkers do not pay attention to the items as they scan them. They just listen for the beep. It's up to you to make sure all the sale items have registered, the clearance items have been given their % off, and the app discounts have been applied. At least half the time I go there, they make some large mistake, and always in their favor. YOU MUST CHECK YOUR RECEIPT BEFORE LEAVING. read more

Ok where do I start. First off, there are some really sweet individuals that work there. But thats it for compliments. Yes some people are slow at the register but I don't care. Wally at this location is a pretty cool dude he even double checked my eggs to make sure they weren't broken to bad he didn't look at the expiration date. He is very efficient. If you're like me and actually look at the expiration dates on EVERYTHING then you would notice that most things at this Albertsons is expired .... I'm annoyed I did not take pictures this time around. Here's a list. yogurt, lunch meat, chips, sauerkraut, packaged meat, eggs ( my bad for not checking the eggs) etc..........a lot of things I was checking had been expired since April! Once I was checking out at the Albertsons in the spring valley shopping center (with my kids) and the cashier was cussing f*^k this N word and F that for a long time. Very loud and not a care that I was there with a 10 and 6 year old. She was talking to another worker...Guess who she was talking to??? One of the managers of the store. They had a full on cussing conversation with customers waiting in line. The manager was laughing and added to her cussing, not a care in the world. Shopping at this Albertsons is really an okay experience. Their selection is good, and checkout is quick. Customer service for me is hit or miss. I've come across very nice employees, and some that weren't very nice. This is why I'm still bummed that they got rid of their self check out a couple years ago. In all honesty, I only go to this Albertsons if I have to. This is mostly because of the solicitors and homeless outside the entrances and the parking lot. Some will come up to you, which isn't cool when you look like a woman child and the parking lot is nearly empty and they approach you from behind. They've got everything you need and most stuff you want. Inside is neat and clean, but there's always homeless and or needy person at the entrance so you can't get by with out being harassed. Albertsons is like Wal-Mart they have 10 registers and only two are open. There was about 15 ppl on each register, ironically they have these signs all over the store that says that 3 ppl is a crowd and they will open another register for you. This place is usually clean, but every so often you find something disgusting around the store. I don't expect the employees to keep an eye on every single product, but if you run into something that is marinating in mold then I'd expect some sort of action to be taken. Long story short I stopped by to purchase tortillas and ended up finding one completely covered in mold! not a few spots here and there, but completely covered. You'd think that it was guacamole flavored tortillas it was that disgustingly green. Other than that I haven't had any other complaints about this place. If you're providing goods for a community then it's best to be on top of your game or someone will end up sick or robbed. read more

Meh, its a regular old Albertson's, but this place has been around forever and has memories of its old look and the good times from high school workout days. My favorite thing about Albertson's is their bucket of chicken wings, those mother's are freaking tasty! Way better than Ralph's and their whack dry ass chicken! I like this Albertsons location. Usually has everything i want. They keep it very clean. My one complaint...the express lane. Its the worst expresss lane ever!!!! The guy running it is very nice...too nice. He talks to everyone and tries to get people to add items on special. He would be great for another line besides the express. Tonight my baby needed diapers so i figured Albertsons wouldn't be too bad for a quick buy..Wrong... unprofessional teens run the cash register to start!
