Place is always understaffed. Super long lines. And they never let you put in your number for the rewards card. Worst place to shop.

This Albertsons has the worst customer service in the world . I waited on the customer service line for almost 20 minutes and two people were still ahead of me . I can't believe how awful this management is ! If you want customers to be happy? Then your best bet would be to add another line of customer service . I don't blame the employees but I do have a concern about their mangers because they obviously are poorly managing the establishment!! read more

i love this location. all albertsons are pretty much the same to me....but this one has a really nice manager or whatever rank he is. he's the guy that looks like robert dinero with glasses, and he usually works the express lane. he's probably the nicest guy you'll ever meet, and will make you leave the store with a smile. this morning, i was shopping and i hear his voice on the intercom: "attention albertsons shoppers and albertsons employees....i hope you are having a verrry pleasant morning. we just want to inform you....that today....is renee's birthday. so happy birthday renee....in the bakery. so if any of you shoppers are near the bakery area, make sure to wish renee a happy birthday". i seriously wonder what goes on in that guy's life to make him so pleasant to be around. 5 stars albertsons...5 stars. read more

The place is ghetto. I went grocery shopping here and bought some fruits. Some of my fruits I bought were bad and rotten. Would probably never go grocery shopping here again. The people here aren't that friendly neither. I rather go down the street for the extra drive and better produce. read more

I would rather drive 30 min away to get groceries than come inside here. Every time I have I've had a bad experience. I've seen expired milk on the shelf, and not by a day or two.... berries with mold. Once the girl bagging my items dropped my box of blueberries and they were all over the counter. She used her dirty hands to pick them all up and put them back in the container and then put them in my bag..... I was in utter shock. I've seen a lot of people that are on the WIC program here and the clerks are really rude to them. Way to treat people like trash. Don't even get me started on the pharmacy. This place has the worst customer service ever. The managers have no personality or don't know what the hell is going on..they are always under staffed and the lines are ridiculous. I needed to buy a bag of organic kale and they had nothing out except one opened bag. I went to a cashier and asked if I could get a discount since it was opened she flat out said no. I went to find a manager and was bounced around a few times from register to register. I found some lady who was a manager and I told her It was the last bag and it was opened, but i didn't want to pay full price for an opened bag, she said we can exchange or refund you. She was obviously not listening to me. I said, again, I'm trying to buy it but not full price since it is opened..she looked at me with the most confused expression on her face. I hate coming to this store, let alone using the pharmacy inside. They're slower than molasses in the dead of winter. Dropped off my prescription an hour ago. Was told 30-35 mins. Perfect! I have to pick up some items, I can do that while I'm waiting. Finished shopping, took the cart back, went to little Ceasars to pick up a pizza for the ppl that are providing transportation during my incapacitation, and it's still not ready. WORST GROCERY STORE IVE SHOPPED AT IN ALL MY LIFE!!! Service was horrible, the prices are ridiculous, they mark up EVERYTHING the give these extremely small sale items. Expired dairy items, the produce is usually on the verge of rotten. I'm surprised they have still have business considering its in a not so great part of town. This store is poorly run, plain and simple. Consistently long lines with many employees who just simply don't seem to care about the customer and now I noticed that they removed the '3's a Crowd' signs at the register. Don't get me wrong - there are a few employees who always have a smile on there face and are professional and courteous, but the rest don't seem to know what customer service is. read more

2 stars because it's convenient. Seeing as there are no other grocery stores in this hot ass neighborhood. I was helped by a gentleman named Kenny today. He was too busy flirting with the young girl bagging groceries that he made me feel invisible. He seems pervy. I used to go to Albertsons in Lemon Grove and service was the best there. I think I'll just drive over there instead. This isn't the first time I get bad service at the spring valley location. Maybe they need training again. I live real close to this location and I would rather spend my gas money to go elsewhere with the lack of customer service they have! I have had cashiers too busy to say "hi" because they are chit chatting with the baggers. The guys who get the carts never once offered me a cart when I had my hands full with 5 children, and they had many, many chances! You pretty much have to hunt someone down to get help in any isle, and then they are rushing and rude. What's happening to this world? Are people really that careless of their jobs, when there are so many people out there who need jobs and can do it so much better! read more

I am disgusted at the horrible customer service of not only this location, but the customer service situation as a whole with Albertson's. They don't honor coupons. They don't let you speak to a manager when you ask. When you call the customer service line, they put you on a wait list to call back and then put you on hold again for another 10 minutes even when you were supposed to be the next person in line. Then they continue giving you the run around when you finally get a hold of someone and the reps constantly blame the issues on the customer instead of taking fault and moving forward. All I wanted to do was bring the issue to someone's attention and now all it's done is make me want to tell everyone I possibly can to never shop at this ridiculous grocery store chain ever again. read more

This has got to be the most ridiculous Albertsons I have ever been to. First of all, no hand baskets in sight. Looked everywhere for a simple basket to carry my belongings. I asked a worker if her could grab one for me and he just shrugged and said "good luck". Excuse me!? Also they have their alcohol section locked up, obviously to prevent theft. But they do not have a call o service button available at the liquor aisle... I waited there for 5 minutes before I had to call the store I was in to get someone over to service me. And nobody came. There was me and another lady waiting and she ended up walking down the aisles for someone. I was in a rush and this was a total inconvenience, they even had an in store security guard why employ him if you are going to lock up the liquor. Some of us shoppers are in a tome crunch and cannot sit around and wait for someone to hopefully walk by and unlock the cabinet. read more

This Albertson's is the closest to home and right next to the WIC building I go to. I like how they have WIC approved items labeled. They sometimes have things not found at Ralph's. I like it cuz it's neat, clean and organized. And their employees are all helpful and approachable. read more

The employees are helpful the food is always fresh and they have great deals. Every time I come I know I will end up with great quality. The butchers are always friendly and the cashiers are always very chatty and try to make you smile it gives you a small town feeling in a huge city I really think this supermarket is a hidden gem. read more

Eent there for an emergency tres leches cake and needed it to have written "Hispanic Heritage month 2016" which seemed like alot for a small space on cake but the lady was willing to try, before she left to do it she gave a clean rag to clean my hands with since the bottom of cake box was sticky and wet. The wording came out great! Checkout was quick and was able to get the cake in time for the event. Overall great visit ! read more

Not my usual store, but I needed to stop in and pick up a birthday cake. Lady at the Deli/bakery yelled at my special needs child for holding a Albertsons balloon. ( which he was just checking out) When, I needed a name put on my cake she just walked out of the area. Even while checking out lady was rude. Never, was I greeted or asked if I needed any help. I've been going to this Albertsons for the past 3 years and I've ONLY come back for two reasons: the chicken is cheap and location. It's the only closest major supermarket in my area so my family and I come here often to pick up only the necessities when needed since they are kind of expensive. To start of, the location is only a 4 minute drive from my house and that's pretty convenient when we need something. Other than that, we just go to Food 4 Less when we go food shopping. Which is about a 10 minute drive. Secondly, the cashiers and people who work in the front of the store have shown CONSISTENT rudeness to me. The older employees more so than the younger ones. The younger ones actually greet you and treat every customer with the same amount of respect. I don't know if it's because I'm 20 and I look like some hoodlum teenager or if it's the fact that the older employees just don't give a rats ass anymore. But for some reason, every time I'm waiting in line, the customers whom seem to be of a higher "status" than I, are always treated with more respect. One time when I was there, Iggy was at the register that I was in line for. He seemed like a nice man. Greeting customers with a smile and asking them about their day. I've seen him talk to customers as if they are long-time friends. But once I come up to the register, he's a totally different person. I once had to greet him first after a pretty extensive moment of silence. He then apologized and said all this condescending crap about how he was sorry or whatever. On another day, I was waiting in line with my baby sister and this employee pushed herself passed me, and into her register. The area next the registers are kind of small so it's hard for more than two people to stand there. She did not say excuse me or sorry or anything. I asked my cashier if all the employees were this rude, making sure the employee that heard me was made aware of her wrong-doing. My cashier gave me a irritated look and did not answer me. Crazy, right? The most insane part is that those were only two of the incidents. I could write a novel on the service here. This is a really bad store. I understand people have rough days and get irritated with what ever it is in their lives, but I won't accept blatant disrespect and childish acts. These people need a refreshing seminar on customer service and they need one immediately. I would gladly give a better rating if things improve. read more

Does it get any busier? Long lines down the aisles crowded with impatient people trying to purchase their few items. This is the closest Albertson's to my house unfortunately it's one of the few places to shop and Von's is just as crowded only more worse as far as quality goes. I don't know if Albertson's needs to do a complete fire and rehire, update their self check outs, give a mandatory employee meeting or just shut down because the service is ridiculously slow. The staff could do a better job at being fast and efficient. The manager needs to learn to manage. There is no reason why I should have to wait in line for 20 minutes or more when I come in for one item that is right in the front of the store. Everytime I shop here, I feel obligated to give the beggers waiting outside of the store the change in my pockets. It's got to stop! No one should be harrassed on their way out of a grocery store! read more

This is probably the worst Albertsons I've ever been to. The don't respect the Three's a crowd rule. The lines are usualyy five persons deep with only two lines open. I've mentioned it to the manager and the next time of went the had taken down the signs promoting Three's a crowd. The employees seem friendly, but the management is terrible.
