C'mon dawwg!!!! I had to stop by this little gem that was on the strip. Yes it is the Smallest Bar yet it's fully stocked. This concept is straight up genius, basically located in an alley way between two other businesses .Stopped here because the Lady walked in a store or two.. so it was time to grab an IPA and smoke a stogie. This walk up hole in the wall is a must stop on your crawl down Duval. The sheer size alone ensures you will meet and strike up a conversation with people who have the same agenda from around the world so relax and enjoy. This brilliant concept has always been an attraction to those visiting Key West and don't let the size fool you, they are pretty creative when it come to satisfying your need for alcoholic beverages whether you stop in for a quick drink before continuing you tour of paradise or decide to hangout and people watch it's a bucket list item. read more

Yes, this is the smallest bar in Key West, and it is awesome. There are only about four seats in this open air bar, which makes this a cozy time indeed. The service here is spot on, and the bartender is a wizard at Key Lime shots. Yum! It really is a cool spot to take a break from some of Duval's craziness. However, the fan/ac situation can be a little rough, but a cool drink should help fight the heat. read more

This place is so cute and is literally a hole in the wall! The smallest bar I've ever seen! My friend and I went up to order a drink and that's pretty much the extent of how many people will fit here at once . Our husbands waited outside while we got our drinks! I had to come here to order the famous pineapple drinks because this is the only bar in the area I could find them at! The were quite delicious. A little pricey for my taste but I guess it's normal for the area and once you see the extent of Work he put into making them! It was a process so the price was worth it. We watched him cut the pineapple with his special tools and hollow it out and everything. The only downside is it is cash only. I was happy we actually had cash on us for once. This is not a place to sit and hang out but if you're passing by on Duval street I recommend stopping in for a pineapple drink! read more

Super cool bar and it is definitely small! You can fill the place up with 8 people although I've seen them cram way more than that in there. Really just a place to grab a beer and a picture but also a place to meet other people. You are forced to talk to everyone because its so small. They surprisingly have a decent beer menu as well. (Not just PBR.) Fun place to stop by. read more

The Smallest Bar in Key West - a walk up window. CAUTION: they are CASH only! They do have a sign but it's small.... Nevertheless always a fun pitstop in your Duval crawl. This was awkward. We walked 15 minutes to get to this bar specifically. When we got there, no one was there. We waited about 10 minutes and then were about to leave when 8 more people walked in. They were older, loud, obnoxious and drunk. Just then the bartender walked in and the drunk people started yelling at him for not being there to serve them. He yelled back and told them to leave. The drunk people were swearing at him and he said he was calling the police. At first we thought this was a joke but when we realized it wasn't. Apparently he was on a break which is fine, but it would have been nice if he left a sign saying be back in 5 minutes or something. Especially since we walked all that way to get there. And then he lost all that business from those 8 people who wanted drinks. Maybe they do enough business that it doesn't matter, but being the smallest bar I would think they would want as much business as they could get. We ordered our drinks but then the soda line was out so we had to pick something else. So this visit ended up being not exactly what we were hoping for, but now we can at least say we had a drink at the smallest bar. read more

I adore this place. Yes, indeed, it's the smallest bar and don't expect fruity or fancy drinks. Beer, wine, simple mixed. But, it's great and it's an experience. There are about 4-5 seats, but come on it and crowd in. You'll meet everyone else and soon you'll have new friends from all over -- or from your own town. When we were there, there were three people from Boston, so we had old home week. The bartender is snarky and funny and fun. A definite stop! read more

My friend and I came to Key West via Royal Caribbean Cruise ship. Unfortunately, our day only allowed for a half day exploration of this small but remarkably fun island. We had to get back onto the ship by 5pm, and it was pouring rain (damn, tropical weather!). By around 4:30pm, we began walking down Duval Street and decided that we wanted to be drunk, or at least buzzed when back on the ship (hey, booze is expensive and weak on the ship!). After hitting up two bars within 10 minutes, we ended up getting recruited into the Smallest Bar in the world. Wouldn't have even noticed this little hole in the wall (literally) if it weren't for one loud, obnoxiously drunk woman who drew us in. I'm usually wary about following advice of random, intoxicated strangers, but when I'm buzzed, I start to let down my guard. The bartender asked us what we wanted, and I said, "Surprise me." He whipped up a fruity concoction for my friend and I, pricing it at $8 each. We cheers'd with the others inside of the Smallest Bar, all 5 of us, and chugged our drinks quickly. We darted out of the Smallest Bar, with 5 minutes to get back to our cruise ship. And during our dash, I told my friend, "That was a rip off! It didn't taste like any alcohol was in there!" 10 minutes later, the alcohol kicked in, and I was happily on my sailing ship. Moral of the story-- Smallest bar has strong drinks that don't taste strong. DON'T BE FOOLED! read more

It really is.... THE SMALLEST BAR what a riot to walk by and see this yellow awning advertising the "smallest bar" and it's written right there on the wall too and then again written on the face of the bar too. Surprised there is so much marketing of the name; if anything they should be careful because where are these people going to stand if they like the idea of hanging at the "smallest bar". We (like so many other passer-bys) took a picture and moved on. Thought about ordering a beer or something but....... you guessed it, No Room ! ! ! Funny idea but not the ideal entertainment location. Frankly, it's more like a pit stop; grab a brew, snap a pic and continue with the "Duval Crawl". read more

Girls Cruise 2013! One of our stops was at Key West. Wondering around it was blazing HOT and we needed a drink pronto! We found the SMALLEST bar ever. We were immediately greeted. It is a super cute place and very quick to get a drink. We ordered two Pina Coladas. The best thing was that these were made with fresh pineapple juice and pretty strong. After Each drink was 9 bucks. It was a decent size. Plus very tasteful. Service was awesome. I love how they play reggae music and have random pictures up. The bar is loaded with every liquor you can imagine. So if you are looking for something specific don't worry you will find it here. If you are visiting Key West make sure to make a stop here! read more

Love the concept. This was our last stop of the night. The bartender was very friendly and got drinks out quickly. We ordered rum punches at $6 a pop. My wife loved it, but it was too fruity for my taste (I am more of an IPA and stout kind of guy). This is a fun spot to hang out for a bit, but I would not plan on spending all night here. It is literally just a bar with a bathroom in the back; no seating or anything like that. Definitely check it out, just have other stops in store. read more

The smallest bar in Key West is by far the SMALLEST, obvi. Some people from our cruise ship were looking for it and while we were inside the bar they were looking. If there is five people inside you will most likely not see the inside of the bar or even the bartender. The drink to order is the drink that comes inside a pineapple. They were $18.00 a pop, however, you can order the exact drink for $10.00 without the actual pineapple and that's what our group of seven did otherwise it would have taken forever for the bartender to chuck out that many pineapples. This bar makes a cute place to take pictures. Just make note that you cannot drink publicly on the streets of key west and this bar is literally a part of the sidewalk so if you do tend to take a few steps while drinking you may not want to venture out from the awning unless you want a citation. read more

My husband and I had the best time at the Smallest Bar. It was fuckinn downpouring and we stopped in to get out of the rain. Little did we know we would be there for three hours, meeting crazy people coming in and out, drinking way more than necessary, and getting bullied by the hilariously raunchy but always fun bartender, whose name escapes me. Important to note is that although we stopped in the SmallestBar because we didn't want to get wet, that place offers no reprieve from the rain whatsoever. At one point we were basically knee deep in water still laughing, drinking, partying away. Such a memorable night and fun time. Basically, I advise you to go to this bar when you have nowhere else to go, and make of it what you will. If you are crazy, chance are you will have a really good time. This place is alot of fun and the bartender was really cool. A small and cozy place to grab a drink as you are strolling through key west. They make some delicious shots including a key lime pie shot that TASTE JUST LIKE KEY LIME PIE. So good we had to get 2 back to back! For the short amount of time we were there, the music played was great. It was mostly top 40 songs which went great with the current vibes of the night. Even though there is a sign that says it's cash only, it's always a bummer having to pay with cash. Next time I'm in the keys I'll make sure to stop by with more cash. We only had enough for 4 shots. It would be more convenient if they took plastic as well. Overall great spot and it definitely suits the name. Even though it's small they have so many options of alcohol and beers. read more

Was a waste of my time and desire to go when I finally could go. I asked for an old fashion and the kid making the drinks asked "what's that?" Proceeded to encourage me and my better half to get a key lime flavored drink. Tasted terrible and didn't even finish it. By the way $24 dollars was not worth the effort. Go to a distillery and put that $24 towards some damn good rum. read more

John from Jersey is the best bartender in Key West and a laugh riot. Should be called the nastiest bar in Key west. After ordering one beer and one mixed drink the bartender who should not be bartending a lemonade stand chargers me 16 dollars and that was the exact amount I had in cash left. Then he tells me I have to put some love in his tip jar. I told him that was my last dollar he replies do you think I'm working for free. And told me I should go somewhere else. Here is your tip a hole you should get a new job even if I had more cash on me I wouldn't give it to you. Save your money and go to local places while in key west this place is a pit with crappy bartenders. Try the Green Perot instead. read more

Completely enchanted. Equal parts confused and delighted. A core memory was made, whether they asked for it or not. Shirt Club is the kind of place where stories are born, logic is optional, and you leave with inside jokes you can't fully explain to anyone who wasn't there. It's chaotic, hilarious, and 100% Key West. Would we go back? Absolutely. Would we ever expect to understand everything that happens there? Not a chance -- and that's exactly the point.

The second floor was our preferred spot as it was less crowded and you could sit out on the large narrow balcony and people watch over Duval St. The bartender we had was amazing! My wife's standard bourbon and diet coke was spot on and way better than some of the watered down drinks served at other places. Good selection of draft beer. The happy hour "well-drink" special was one of the best around. Laid back with an everyone welcomed vibe.

Drinks were solid, and the vibe was fun, but that disconnect on Happy Hour left us feeling a little disappointed. If you're going for the ambiance and a good time, you'll enjoy it.
