Love their cupcakes! They taste very homemade so they are great! I got this for a coworker's birthday and the whole team loved every flavor they tried! They even came running back to ask me where I got these cupcakes from! So these were clearly a huge hit! I went pretty early in the day right after they opened so all of the flavors were available and freshly made. It was about $28 for half a dozen of the cupcakes so each cupcake is around $4.25 or so plus tax. Their special for the day was the Boston cream pie, which my teammate absolutely loved! The staff was very welcoming and helpful. Parking is a bit tough because the lot across and nearby is almost always full, but if you are going in to grab something, you could probably park right infront of the store for a couple of minds to just grab the cupcakes and go. A cute cupcake store right in the Pearland Mall. A rainy Saturday morning with a sweet craving brought us here to Small Cakes. Its family owned and the variety is not many but they are unique. Ofcourse there is the traditional chocolate and red velvet too. We got the pink vanilla and the chocolate to go. There is outdoor seating but was not available today as it had been raining. There is no seating inside. Both the cupcakes were really soft and melt -in -the mouth. The vanilla was less sweet , which suited perfectly to my taste and I could eat with the frosting for the perfect taste, I generally separate the frosting to cut down in the calories, but not this time. The Chocolate was sweeter, and somehow softer... Wallet wise -slightly pricier, but totally worth it. There is plenty of parking even if the one opposite to the cake shop is full. Such a sweet place (pun intended)! While waiting to be called for another nearby restaurant, we decided to walk over to Smallcakes to check it out. It smelled Heavenly when we walked in. Since it was later in the day, I suspect that more flavors would have been available had we walked in earlier. My sister bought two cupcakes - Wedding Cake and Strawberry Vanilla (I think that was the flavor). When my niece finally ate hers, I taught her the only proper way to eat a cupcake. We cut the top off, flipped it over and made it into a cupcake sandwich. This way, you'll get icing with every bite. That strawberry icing is so good. It wasn't too sweet but just right. The cake was moist and yummy. We all had a small piece and we thought it was really good. Check them out whenever you're in Pearland Town Center. I have heard great things about their keto treats but I've gone on three separate occasions and each time they tell me they have no keto items. What gives?! The last time I visited Smallcakes, my son was with me. They had several cupcakes to pick from but he really wasn't interested. He settled for soma blue cookie ice cream. He didn't even eat the whole scoop. It was just kinda meh. I finally got something this time too. They sell some cookies so I decided to try one, it was Oreo and white chocolate chip. My boyfriend lives in Pearland and I wanted to look for a close location, so we wouldn't have a far drive in transporting the cake. I emailed them and they responded after 1 week and I replied to them saying I would love to have them make the cake. I called them the next day to say I would like to proceed and they asked for all the details then. They answer the phone pretty quickly and call you back immediately if there's any issues. My boyfriend loved the cake. The writing that says "Happy birthday" isn't perfect but the cake overall was beautiful with the bottles and decorations. I just had to bring in the liquor bottles. I had no idea that I had to bring in the bottles the day before though. I thought it was something I did myself. That part was unclear to me, but someone called the day before my pickup and told me they needed the bottles at least a few hours ahead of time. There's also a Specs next door if you want to do a cake similar to the one I got. They said they charge $5 for the candy pieces, so I said I'll pass on that but they did it for me anyways. Everyone at my boyfriend's party was in awe of the cake. It was moist and the lemon flavor was delicious. You also have to sign a waiver at the end that once the cake is handed over, it is your responsibility and they'll take no fault if something happens to it, which is fair. read more

This is another place that I've been procrastinating trying for absolutely no reason ‍ finally visited on 8/1/2019 and what a great way to start off the month of August! I know they are known for their cupcakes but I wasn't really in a cupcake mood today so I saw they offered ice cream. Perfect! Tried the cookies and cream flavor and mannnn it was delicious, right on up there with blue bell. One of my friends tried the cheesecake flavor and she said it was really good as well. So this isn't the first time I been here or had a special order but I must say this location in Pearland Town Center is amazing. They never fail us. Their cupcakes are pure awesomeness. They have special flavors throughout the week and we haven't had a bad one yet! On this occasion we ordered a 6 inch round Coconut cake for our mother's Birthday since that is her favorite flavor. I personally am not a coconut fan but this one was 100 percent on point. Since the was a special flavor they don't do all the time, I did have to request it through email to get a price from the owner but everything went so smooth and I was able to call and order from there on the phone with out any mistakes. I truly love Pearland and I love cupcakes even more. After stopping at Barnes and Nobles, I saw this cute little cupcake shop and my pregnant heart melted. Nestled in a corner spot inside the Pearland Town Center lies SmallCakes, a much anticipated cupcakery. I had to drive carefully looking for it. It's behind James Avery and across from Dick's Sporting Goods. They have a small patio section outside set up with chairs and tables. Okay, really it's just set out there on the sidewalk portion. But since they're on the end cap, it works out well for them. Inside, it's small. There is no room to linger and enjoy the cupcakes inside. The cupcakes are split up into two display sections separated by the refrigerated ice cream cooler display. At first I only saw the one side, so I only purchased two cupcakes. After purchasing, I saw their cute art wall and had my son take a picture in front of it. That's when I noticed the second display case of cupcakes with other flavors. I definitely will be back to try more! The cupcake itself is very moist, very soft. I initially tried cutting it in half to share but it fell apart! The icing is soft and creamy but a little too sugary for me. Better than the typical buttercream icing you get from grocery stores cupcakes though. It all tastes so FRESH!! Like just-out-of-the-oven, cooled-down, recently-iced-fresh! Yum!! So yummy! For this visit, we chose the pink vanilla and choco-ho-lic. They had run out of wedding cake already so I'll have to wait until next time to get it. If there were more space inside where you could sit and hang out, I might have let my son have an ice cream. But with tables and chairs only being outside, I felt like it was more of a take it to-go type place. Yes, there is seating outside but I can't imagine people sitting out there very many days of the year (as hot as it gets here). It's a little pricey for cupcakes but for special occasions and for random treat myself days, it's worth it. All in all, I think everyone should try it at least once.
