The filling is waaaaay too sweet and the crust is not like crust. It's more like a croissant crust which bakes up thin and flaky. I went to this business for the first time on the 15th to put in an order for a birthday cake. The employee who helped me out took my order, never game me an estimate for the deposit. He instead told me the owner would reach out the same day 30 minutes to an hour after showing up, I never received a call. On the 17th I get a call & it was the owner asking about my order. Instead of helping me he instead rushed me off of the phone because he was "leaving the country" over the weekend, said he'd call me right back, & I never received a call. Luckily I was able to take my business else where & the place I went took my order, ideas for the cake, & for things done the same day. Although the cake I needed is being taken care of by another business I still have not received a call from anyone at Sugar Rush. I wouldn't recommend Sugar Rush to anyone. read more

Food⁉ ordered Peach Cobbler from Sugar Rush too on Veterans Memorial.The cobbler was baked on a pan that resembles a cookie sheet. The crust was white and doughy wet covered in a sugary syrup. There was a little kerfluffle because someone entered and refused to wear a mask. She had apparently been there several times that day to pick up an order, but had been asked to wear a mask for service. The clerk continued to politely explain to her the need to wear a mask. I've been to this location at least twice in the past month, so I decided to order a birthday cake. The cupcakes are pretty good, pricey, but good. I expected the cakes to be the same. I ordered a 3 layered cake with nothing special or decorations on it. I picked the cake up, and they women were nice. She even brought the cake to my car. The downside is trying to cut into the cake. I'm guessing it was in the freezer, because I really struggled to cut the cake. After finally cutting it, I see carboard is in the cake. So I asked if the cardboard was suppose to be there, and they say yes to keep it stable. But I'm not understanding why, because if I was passing this out to people and they eat the carboard by mistake that would be horrible. There times on the door say they are open until 7PM; there times on their voicemail message says 7:30PM Monday thru Thursday and 8PM Friday and Saturday. I really just wanted to leave a voicemail message on my frustration of having driven from Missouri City to Pearland to find them closed early, but their voicemail box was full.
