The turtle cheesecake cupcake left a lot to be desired so I knocked off a star it was more like a runny cheesecake than anything else. But the mini pecan pie was good! read more

Sugar Rush is absolutely fantastic. Their cheese cakes are the top notch. Always super fresh and the cupcakes are addicting. If you have not heard of them do yourself a favor and give them a try. read more

Was excited to eat the Red Velvet cake which I purchased a few hours prior. THANKFULLY I scanned it and noticed MOLD on the cake and a bad smell was mixed in with the cake smell. I gagged a threw it outside. This is ridiculous. I ate the chocolate cake that I purchased along with the red velvet upon purchase. I'm praying that one was fine and I don't get sick. But if I do, I know what I ate last. Please be aware what you are selling to people. SAD!! read more

Best desserts and ESPECIALLY PEACH COBBLER!! My goodness! Smells great from the moment you walk in! Easy to order over the phone too! Great service!! read more

Our company has ordered cake here every year for our annual Thanksgiving potluck. Every single time with each cake has been amazing! Well balance of the sweetness it is made with perfection! Their cakes are not your typical Walmart overly sugared cake that layers your teeth with sugar. This is the type of cake that will have your taste buds enjoying every bite, texture and savoring the masterpiece in your mouth enjoying diabetes! LOL Now... for our representative luncheons, LET. ME. TELL YOU.....they served peach cobbler pie. The peach cobbler has been the most amazing pie I have ever tasted in my life. It will be worth my drive from Baytown to come have their special dessert. Thinking about it as I'm writing this review it's really making my mouth water so much that I will make a trip this weekend just for that cobbler pie! LOL I will update with pictures. Stay tuned for the aftermath! read more

I have been to this location at least 10 times considering how tasty their desserts are. However, the owner has been snarky on multiple occasions. I didn't know what a particular cupcake was, so I proceeded to tell her the location of the cupcake. She then stated that I would have to do better than that. So I pointed to the direction of the cupcake. I assume that wasn't good enough for her so she decided to take it a notch further and stated, "let's act like you've been to school...I'm sure your parents taught you better than that." Their desserts are delicious but the insults and the disrespect isn't worth it. read more

My sister and I went here last minute to pick up a few things for my nieces birthday party. The owner was very nice and helpful. We were able to pick up cake balls that were available. They were a hit at the party. Now that we know their process, we will definitely come back for future orders read more

That chocolate chocolate cake! that's all I'm going to say. I damn near ate the whole cake in one sitting! I will definitely be back. I just hope it tastes the same from the veteran's memorial location as the Pearland location. And the service at the Pearland location was superb read more

Quaint and elegantly decorated yet full of glam. The customer service is the epitome of southern hospitality. This was my first time here and I had no idea what to get so I ordered a Lemon Blonde Cupcake. It was huge! The cake itself was so incredibly moist and the frosting was delightful. The center had a lemon filling that was a pleasant surprise! I'd certainly recommend eating it with a fork. I made the mistake of thinking I could quickly grab it to enjoy during my pedicure next door and it was messy but I enjoyed every minute lol. I'll definitely be returning. Next time I'll actually be dressed so I can take photos. It would make a great blog post. read more

The customer service was nasty from the manager but great from the cashier. The manager was short, unpleasant, and frankly just rude. Thinking the cakes might be better than her attitude I was wrong again! $45 later only to get to my event and the cakes were hard! Carrot Cake look like a spice cake! So..., back to "Ooh La La"we go! Very disappointed in this business! Don't recommend it at all! read more

*this review is based purely on service* My parents and I came in on a Sunday afternoon to purchase some cakes for a grad party. We were greeted by the guy behind the counter, but that was pretty much the most interaction initiated by him for the rest of our visit. Afterwards he sat down and put his headphones in and didn't offer us any further help. He was available to answer any questions we had, though. I don't mean to be an overly needy customer but it would be nice to show more enthusiasm to your only customers at the time. read more

Yummy vanilla cupcake with sprinkles!! You can walk in and order or you can order ahead of time. You have more options to try different items on the menu if you order ahead of time. We don't have this place in Austin. They have different locations in Houston. Make sure to stop by for some moist dessert that will not disappoint your taste buds! read more

Ordered my Birthday cake 4 weeks in advance and 4 weeks later when i go to pick up the cake at the time of accordance they didn't have my cake ready I was told to come back an hour later so I gave them the benefit of the doubt of being busy but after that hour my cake was not what I ordered. It was like if they just threw something together in 5 min. The edible image wasn't even edible it had plastic film underneath the image which shouldn't have been there. And the image was not what I sent it was a random truck. The colors, frosting were all wrong. My Family and I were really disappointed with Sugar Rush we will never order again! I am 100% sure I could of got a better cake at HEB for the $142 dollars I paid for the cake. read more

It was SO good. I got the Oreo cupcake for $3.50. I will DEFINITELY be coming back to this place for any future dessert orders that I need. Soooo sooo good. The service was pleasant and the presentation was excellent, however I did not like my cupcakes too much. I really wanted to love them too. I got a banana, a strawberry, and a red velvet. They were all beautifully made. I did enjoy the unique taste of the frosting but the CAKE (the part I look forward to the most) was dry and crumbly. I took a couple of bites from each, trying to find some moist cake, but no such luck. Maybe it was a fluke. I may give them another try in the future. Everyone deserves a second chance ‍. read more

I've ordered a cake from them in the past and wasn't impressed by the flavor or the design. Looked to me it was done by an amateur. Prior to then I would go in there for their pies. After that cake I stayed away from this place for months. I bought a couple of pies this past week from there. Bone dry. Never tasted a dry sweet potato pie before in my life! read more

I walked into Sugar Rush not knowing what to expect. (I made the mistake of custom ordering a birthday cake from a grocery store and when I went to pick it up, it wasn't there. They fixed it with a free cake, but it wasn't his favorite flavor.) Michael greeted me and took a second to get to know why I came in. He was sweet (see what I did, there?) and engaging. I felt welcome. He quickly suggested a mini-cake in my husband's favorite flavor and told me he'd have it ready with his favorite flavors and colors in SEVEN MINUTES! The cake came out as quickly as he promised and was pretty. We haven't eaten it yet, but judging by the THREE sets of gushing customers that came/left/talked while I was there, I am willing to bet it will be yummy. :-) read more

The first time I stopped by I ordered the mr. sweet dark and rich, but I was disappointed because I think the cashier gave me the mr. dark and rich by mistake. I ordered the peach cobbler with ice cream and it was so good! The shop is super cute and the staff is very kind.

Horrible customer service!!!!! I will NEVER Give this establishment my business again!!!! I gave them two different pictures of cakes that I would like to have for both of my sons birthday. I called on Wednesday to place the order for Saturday evening. I was never told that they could not do two cakes in the time frame remaining. Both cakes, in My opinion, we're very simple. There were discrepancies with both cakes upon pickup. I asked to have $30 off on each cake. I was first told that they could only take $20 total off. I felt it was a slap in the face. Ultimately, we agreed on $20 off each cake. The owner made it a point to address me and argue with me about the cakes, stating that I placed the order at the last minute. I informed him that if they knew the time would not allow them to professionally design the cake, then I should have been informed at that moment. He was very rude and persistent with arguing with me.....very unprofessional!!! Instead, he should have acknowledged their faults or just not address me at all! He made a comment to my husband that "We're in the business to make money, not give money back!" Well, we work hard for our money, and we want to get what we pay for! Also, the cakes were not that moist! I've had better tasting cakes from Walmart and Kroger!!!! read more

I usually go to Smallcakes which is my all time favorite but today my daughter wanted to try Sugar Rush and boy were we ever so glad! I ordered a vanilla, satin berry and German chocolate. Saw a small cake that was pretty cute because it had golden sugar on it. I'd never seen this before except on TV so I bought two of them. When I got to my car I noticed that there was no sugar so took it back to ask if they could sprinkle some on. The girl told me that there was no more golden sugar and I thought that this was strange so I told her that people should get what they ordered or told beforehand that something will be missing. The most unprofessional thing though was her response. She told me that she could give me my money back and threw 20 dollars on the counter, took the cakes and stormed off to the back room before I could give her the four dollars of change read more

Omg, awesome service and lets talk about the cakes. Best carrot cake ever!

I am literally drooling as I write this review! I stopped by to give the peach cobbler a test drive and man on man... FIRST of all the crust, let's bow our heads and give thanks for the crust, it was so buttery and flaky, just down right amazing. The bottom crust was perfect and the filling had the perfect ratio of peaches, nutmeg and cinnamon. The service was professional and although the line was long they moved it pretty fast. They had so many amazing looking deserts I will definitely be a returning customer. Wether you have a sweet tooth or ya missing a tooth, stop by and grab you some cobbler, guaranteed to thank me later. read more

I needed a baby shower cake. A cute one. So I made a decision to try this place. The customer service was outstanding! I went in on Friday evening to order the perfect cake. The place was quite busy, which really encouraged my decision to give it a try. There were several times that Mr. Michael had to stop our business to help out because they were so busy. Upon ordering the cake, I wanted pale pink fondant with a quilt pattern, gold beads in the quilt, a gold bow on the side, and a big gold "S" as a topper. 9 inch yellow (or white) cake, buttercream icing. I had no problem with the $86 price tag. The cake was delicious...really, really good!! The detail on the cake was not what I imagined (or paid for). I was told it was so much because of the edible gold details. After picking up the cake, I went straight to Hobby Lobby to locate some desirable gold accents. For $17, I added a gold ribbon to the bottom, gold heart sprinkles AND turned a gold "8" into an "S". Thanks Sugar Rush. Your flavor & customer service was outstanding, the details...not so much. I have attached the pictures. read more
