My favorites are The peach cobbler, cheesecake, banana pudding, pecan pie, and sweet potato pie. Soooo amazing. The cheesecake is life changing I must say. I've gone several times and they are always busy, but very courteous. The trick is to call ahead. One Sunday I sent my husband right at closing to get a cheesecake. Amazing!!!! My husband and I stopped by when it first opened. I got the peach cobbler and he got a mini cake. The cake was delicious and was moist and the icing the perfect amount of sweetness. But that cobbler!!!! My goodness it tasted just like my grandmothers!!! That is a huge compliment and testament to how good it was. I'm a fan of sugar rush and previously patronized their Stella Link location when I lived in the city. I visited the Pearland location in search of tea cakes. An array of other goodies caught my attention so in addition to tea cakes, I purchased chocolate/pecan cookies and peach cobbler. The tea cakes were as expected and delicious although unfortunately, I can't say the same for their chocolate & pecan cookies and peach cobbler. The cookies taste was similar to a cookie you would expect to find in a grocery store with less sugar - nothing amazing but I would expect something more for $1.50 per cookie. Now, their SL link location had amazing peach cobbler and i thought the same would be true here but boy was I disappointed. I love the crust of a peach cobbler but this iteration was very doughy- almost uncooked and unflavorful. I ate two bites and threw the rest out. I'm glad to see the business expand but if I compare the two locations, the same recipes are not being used. I'll be back but to only purchase tea cakes 3.5 STARS for customer service, decor and tea cakes. read more

I love Sugar Rush's banana pudding! If I am attending a gathering at you house this is most likely what I am bringing!! A half pan is always enough for a gather where you will have other treats but the pudding is going to be the go to desert for most! Just left this location to get my niece a birthday cake. Walked in and it was completely silent. A lady was cleaning and another young lady was stationed at cash register. Asked them if they were open and the one at the cash register just nodded. AGAIN no kind of greeting. My wife started looking at the displays and again NOTHING was said. So we walked out and are deciding to go to the Sugar Rush off 518. The owner of that Sugar Rush has way better customer service!!!! Will not be returning to that Sugar Rush... Will give them 6 months and they will be out of business with that kind of customer service.... read more

First time ordering from Sugar Rush, while I know they have many locations and each may provide different service, this location made me not want to EVER go back to any of them! I walked in today to get a mini cake for my baby boy 1st birthday...I ordered the strawberry cake and asked that it only be cream cheese icing and not include the strawberries because I wanted them to write Happy birthday in (Red) on the cake with my son name. It took about 20 mins for the guy to put the icing on the cake. He brought it out, the writing was HOT PINK, he told me that to him it looked red...I wish I would have took a pic of the cake but I didn't. I know that he wouldn't have taken that cake to his son 1st party. Anyway, after letting him know I wasn't satisfied with the color he went back in the back to redo it...I waited about 20 mins, asked how long it's going to take, he said about another 10, I knew that was a lie because it took longer than that the 1st time. I told him that I had to make another run and would come back...I left for about 30 mins, came back..he told me that they got busy so he hadn't even touched the cake...waited another 15 mins..he brought the cake out it was still pink just a little darker...while I know the color get darker as it set, that pink just did not look like it was going to turn red...also the icing was sloppy!! The pink that was on the cake previously was all smeared in the cream cheese color and just looked a MESS! I told him that I'm not taking that cake and to give me a refund...another older man walked out basically arguing with me telling me the color was red, he goes on to say "son how much time u spent on this cake" he was talking over the cake and I'm literally seeing spit come out of his mouth landing on the cake.I didn't come here for them to practice...he need more training and experience if it take him 30 mins to write Happy Birthday on a (mini cake). I could have gone to Kroger etc. and they would have done it in 2 mins!! I don't know who he was but was very rude...I told him that I'm the customer and if I'm not satisfied with the cake they should be understanding...the cake was SLOPPY! I could only imagine the taste...why would u even allow YOUR BRAND to walk out the door looking like that? I'm a baker myself and could have easily done a Mini cake for my son if it was going to look like that, in this case I needed convenience and professionalism...and I got NEITHER!!! This is the cutest shop, and the service is wonderful! They have everything you could possibly want to satisfy a sweet tooth, and everything we have tried is absolutely superb. The turtle brownie was so wonderful, dense and rich. The cupcakes are divine - the cake is so light and airy, so soft. Recently, I placed an order for specialty decorated cookies for a baby shower. I met with Michael, who was so helpful with creating a design that matched the theme of the baby shower and gave me reassurance that he and his team could produce a beautiful, yet delicious cookie. I love the cakes and cupcakes at Sugar Rush. But I'm very disappointed with the service. I'm use to going to the location at Stella Link where they provide excellent service. Broadway is a new location and it's close to my home. My husband and I were at the shopping plaza and we noticed the new location. We walked in and was not greeted the worker was sitting behind the counter. We began looking at the cupcakes on display he still didn't move until we started asking questions about the cupcakes. We bought a couple cupcakes and wanted to order a cake for Mother's Day. He called the owner from the back who seemed very pleasant along with his son. I decided to give them a chance. The owner told me he'll call me to get my order the next day he called two days later. The only reason I went along with the order because they were open on Sundays. We was told $65 for the cake when my husband picked it up they told him $77. After all that I gave the another chance. My brother was in town for his Birthday I went back. We picked out 4 cupcakes from the display and 2 of them was half decorated. The display showed toffee and chocolate they gave us only cream. One of the cupcakes we ordered had a strawberry on top the gave us half strawberry and did that's how we make them. SMH none of them looked like the display. I will wait for the location at Shadow Creek to open or drive to Stella Link that's it for me no more Broadway read more
