Both were tasty and had little pieces of chewy tamarindo candies in them. We also ordered tostilocos, which were tasty as well; they were missing the peanuts that were typically there, but otherwise still good. The lost star is because of their cantaloupe drink I ordered - it tasted nothing like cantaloupe. Only water with pulp. I was disappointed, but everything else was delicious. Additionally, their menu only shows a few of their prices - nothing was updated to reflect their current charges for each item. They do have a small seating area inside which holds maybe 10-15 people. Today, it was adorned with Christmas decor and a tree.

Located in a new strip, right in front of the Manvel HEB, this place is sparklingly new. It has a small lot out front sharing with the other businesses. L On a Tuesday at 9am, it was 90% full. So this place will be hopping as the news of its existence spreads. I ordered a Nova Lox, half a dozen bagels, and a coffee. The Lox came out a little rough. It was a bit smooshed and lopsided with the bits scattered about. I had to rebuild it. Not the hardest thing in the world just a little messy. Chalking it up to "new location, who dis." Now, I know there's an argument between the purists and the connoisseurs as to whether one should toast the bagel or not. If the bagels were freshly warm, I would say no to toasting. But because they aren't, a cold untoasted bagel becomes quite chewy and messy in a combination such as Nova Lox. Like a weak rawhide. I might ask for toasting in the future to give me a more appropriate texture for a morning bite. Something to think about for the non-remote professionals having breakfast. The customer service was solid, nothing crazy. There was about 8 people in front of me, so maybe a 10ish minute wait in line, and 5 for the order afterwards. I'll definitely be back, as there aren't many options around these parts at the moment. Just happy to have some new things popping up. I am looking forward to trying some of their "gourmet bagels". I purchased a Spinach Florentine, Apple Cinnamon, Maple French Toast, and Cheesy Hash Brown. More opinions to come.

We went 30 min after opening and waited 15 minutes or so (thankful for the shade!). Heads up-- they're open only Thursday and Saturday. Aside from the croissants, there are cookies, macarons, banana pudding, and fresh leches. I enjoyed trying everything but the cinnamon roll was by far my favorite as a sweet tooth, and MT loved the hot honey pizza croissant. Cinnamon roll (5/5)-- described as having cookie butter on the menu, but I didn't taste any of it. However the vanilla bean icing was very sweet and very good! The edges of the roll weren't dried out which was nice, and the center bit was so soft and saturated with that icing. Yum! Kouign amann (4/5)-- interesting take with a contrast of textures with a crispier bottom and a denser, chewier middle. The caramelized sugar wasn't super sweet. Could see this paired nicely with tea or coffee. Almond raspberry croissant (3/5)-- very faint raspberry flavor, would be nice to have more of the raspberry gel or even preserves/jam. MT demolished it, and even though I don't usually like savory pastries, I thought this one was really tasty! Chili chive croissant (4/5)-- super airy, light, and fragrant pastry. Biscoff cookie (3.5/5)-- sweet from the white chocolate chips but not super Biscoff-y. The texture was dense but soft, not super chewy. Would be yummier with more Biscoff spices or flavor! Smores bun (3/5)-- beautiful presentation and looked promising, but this one was mainly a cream bun. The vanilla pastry was solid, the bread was soft. For my expectations of a s'mores flavor profile, the chocolate ganache could be more chocolatey and less pudding-like, and the graham crackers didn't add much flavor. Great if you're looking for a straight up cream bun though! Despite being busy, the staff were friendly. There's a small window side table for 4 people that was nice to use (although the line snakes right behind your back when seated) + a few tables outdoor. Maybe I didn't pick their best pastries, but I probably wouldn't make a dedicated 30 min drive to visit. Sweet Bee is still a great addition to the suburbs, I would definitely return to try other things if I lived closer! The prices are also more reasonable than bakeries in the loop!
