Nutella waffle with ultimate cookie monster

It swwwwweeetttt! But that's what you want huh. The place is pretty small, but the customer service was on point. I had the Nutella waffle with a scoop of cookiw monster. The flavors were delicious. They have a patio that's pretty nice so no worries if you don't want to sit inside. Overall I would say try it.

With a name like this, how can you not stop in. I happen to drive by this place and saw the name and immediately looked it up to see what it was. It was an ice cream and waffle place, perfect for dessert. Stopping in, my first thought was this is a cute place! The menu is varied but not too overwhelming. The service was just okay- the workers didn't really say anything to me until my husband asked if I had been helped yet and they heard me answer no, even though the place was practically empty (only one other couple there who had their ice cream already). The portion sizes are decent though, and I love that you can do a half scoop to get 2 flavors. The average pricing is going to run you around $10-14, but it's big enough to share. The waffle was nice and flaky, almost like a croissant, which I love, but I do wish it was just a tad bit crispier. Overall, I liked it, but wasn't mind blowing.

Seriously, the BEST DESSERT I've had in ages!! While visiting a friend in Houston, we started craving a dessert around 10pm. After a quick search on Yelp, we found The Dolly Llama and boy was it a treat! We used the drive thru window so I can't speak on the interior but the clerk helped us decipher the menu and we chose the Sugar 'N Spice Signature Waffle - delicious!!! The softest, fluffiest waffle cone, Cinnamon Toast Crunch, Biscoff cookies, whip cream and cinnamon ice cream. It tasted even better than it sounds. I hope that there's one in Dallas because I need it in my life.

We wanted something sweet and came to the Dolly Llama for dessert. I tried the mint chocolate chip ice cream with the liege waffle, and others in my group got ice cream and shakes (not all pictured). The ice cream was very standard. The liege waffle was okay; it was fluffy but didn't have the classic bursts of caramelized sweetness that I was expecting.

I've passed this place numerous times but always when I'm busy, so never stopped before. I happened to have a craving for ice cream late one night after coming back from the ballet, so I decided to try something new. If you blink you will miss this place just because it's situated at an odd angle to any entrances to the parking lot it shares with the other businesses around it. That being said, I pulled into the drive thru and it was like a ghost town. It was later in the evening but not that late. I thought it was closed for a second. After a minute, someone came to the window and took the order. There is an extensive menu posted by the window. Usually, I'm happy to take my time deciding what I want but for some reason, I didn't feel like sitting in that drive thru long, so I quickly decided on the Matcha Green Tea flavor. Unfortunately for me, who didn't want to sit in the drive thru long, I felt it took a bit too long for what I ordered. Since I was the only customer at the time, judging by the empty drive thru and parking lot, I was a bit puzzled by what was taking so long. The ice cream was actually good. It had a real matcha flavor and it wasn't overly sweet. The whip cream on top was a nice touch. I wanted to keep things simple, so I just ordered one scoop in a cup. Overall, since it was a little later in the evening and I was in the drive thru, I'll disregard the lack of ambiance. I think the service can be a little quicker or a little more engaging. At least one of those things. I don't know many people who willingly want to sit in a drive thru longer than they have to. The ice cream was good and I'll definitely return at some point to get something a little more extravagant.

The is our family's guilty pleasure. I love the green tea ice cream here with strawberries! They have a great selection of flavors with even vegan options. The servers are kind and they stay open late! The setup is super cute! Who couldn't smile at a place called Dolly Llama. We will be back soon. :)

Saw this on the way home off 288 so had to give it a try. First off, it has good visibility from the highway but the location itself is not ideal. The Main Street connecting it on the other side barely shows any signs that they are there. One side is a one way parking lot and the other side is both ways but it's at the back end of the plaza which houses mainly non-food establishments. Parking is limited. It's right next to Brewingz. We order the OG Liege with Ube Ice Cream with condensed milk. It was delicious. The place is small inside but it also has outdoor seating. It was just us,so service was good. Friendly staff.

Listen. Dolly Ilama is under rated. They have the best ice cream ok. I can't get myself to stay away from the matcha ice cream in a bubble waffle topped with strawberries and a dollop of whipped cream. You won't regret swiping that card.

Cute new spot off of 288 in Pearland! After Bubble Egg closed in Bellaire, I had to get my bubble egg and waffle fix and luckily a new spot opened. They also offer a drive thru. It shares a parking lot with other businesses in the plaza so I can imagine it'll be crowded at peak times. Lots of options for dessert such as icecream, bubble egg waffle, waffles, and shakes. Service was slow, I'm assuming because they just opened and they were training some of the employees. My friend and I opted for bubble egg waffles, which was good. I had the sugar and spice!

Another great Ice cream option as if I needed one! I recommend you try the bubble waffle cones. The one I had was hot and fresh with a huge scoop of ice cream. The server was fast and friendly. The inside seating is limited however, there are tables outside as well as various outdoor games. Had popular music playing loud but not too loud. The location is off the beaten path but you can see it from the freeway.

I'm new to Pearland so I'm checking out all the coolest looking spots. Dolly Llama looked like a fun place to grab a treat. It's a fairly small place at the very end of a little strip. Lots of really unique art and designs. I came at 10:30pm when they close at 11. I got their signature Dolly Llama blue cookie shake. There was one couple ahead of me. I'm not sure what their staff of 2 (who was nice) was doing back there but 20 minutes to get my order seemed a bit long. I wasn't in a rush but it just felt way longer than you should have wait for something like this. I enjoyed it just fine...but for the time it took, it didn't come off as anything special. It was pretty runny rather than a thicker milkshake that I was expecting. Maybe that is their style but you could get a more traditional McFlurry at McDonald's that tastes better in about 3-4 minutes for a fraction of the price. read more

My cousin told me about the dolly llama so off course after dinner we had to swing by and try it out. Service here is nothing to write home about, it's younger employees who don't really want to be there. We were literally the only ones in there and they did not greet us or ever really acknowledge us. Just kind of rude but they're young. Now for the desserts here they're amazing. We went with the mini waffle sandwich and the og liege. The desserts here are massive and worth every penny I'm still dreaming about my of liege with horchata ice cream. read more

What I really liked about this place was that they had a claw machine inside plus a giant connect four game. It has a really small interior, and there's just one table so only like 5 or 6 people could sit there, but I thought it was really fun because it was just my friend group in the shop at the time. The ice cream plus waffle combo hit the spot, and I can't really complain about the pricing or the flavors. The staff was great, and they let us try multiple flavors and let us take our time picking what we wanted. read more

My kids go crazy for The Dolly Llama! They are pricey but still pretty comparable in price to all the other ice cream shops nowadays. Hopefully, this location makes it because they never seem to be too busy. My youngest isn't too adventurous with ice cream so she usually just gets a cup with one scoop of vanilla. If she's feeling froggy she'll add some mini marshmallows to hers. My middle daughter loves their Cookie Monster ice cream with their signature bubble waffle. If I let her, she will add chocolate syrup, extra Oreos, and candy to it but that jacks the price up, so I don't always let her. I'm not trying to pay $80 for ice cream. My oldest is pretty basic too, usually, he's just a vanilla ice cream kinda guy with the bubble waffle. No toppings, and no extra frills for him. I have tried their banana pudding ice cream and it's solid. It has good flavor and I love the nilla crackers in it. I think it's seasonal, though. My husband will try all the flavors, but his favorite is their horchata. I don't care one way or the other about it. It just tastes like vanilla with cinnamon. They all love the outdoor games too; their favorite is the big checkers set and cornhole. It's always a fun little trip when we go. read more

The ice cream is good but unnecessarily expensive for a very small scoop. There's nothing amazing about the waffle cone and there's a lack of indoor seating. It's also hard to maneuver to the location. There are so many other ice cream places in close vicinity that give you more for less that I likely won't be back. read more

Definitely had to stop by after seeing their punny name off the side of the highway. The facility itself is tucked away strategically and well thought out of its decor and service line. Unfortunately, the service was tragically subpar. We literally walked up to the counter and was not greeted at all. The two staffers (looked like teenagers) kept on working on doing something else rather than to greet us. We stood there for 30 seconds to 1 minute without any eye contact or acknowledgement. Perhaps we should just talk at them with our orders next time? After I asked my wife if she had put in her order yet, was when the staffer tended to us. Man it sucks to not being acknowledged. The waffle and ice creams definitely came out to be delicious, but be aware of super high price for it. It was north of $10 for a waffle and a scoop (rather generous scoop) with some peanut topping and a few sprinkles. Not worth the pricing but I understand the price inflation of today's society. However for a desert and the price, as well as the lack of acknowledgment from staffers, I probably won't be coming back. read more

We we're excited to check this plan out. came twice and it's just not our cup of tea. If you sit outside, there's a dumpster smell can ruin your appetite. They serve vegan options, but ingredients aren't listed and staff had no clue if there's nuts/eggs/dairy in there. They ask if you want whip cream... and be prepared it's only a little dollop of it. The egg puff waffle was dense, flavorless. Icecream was ok, honestly felt we can just go to H‑E‑B and get bluebell pint. read more

This place is amazing! The service is speedy and very friendly! Me and my boyfriend played the outdoor games outside before entering and it made the ambiance all more special! I ordered the small bubble waffle cone, with salted caramel ice cream, caramel drizzle and the biscoff cookies! It was sooooo gooooood. My boyfriend had the large bubble waffle cone and had gotten the Cookie Monster ice cream with milk chocolate drizzle and brownie pieces! Not gonna lie, this place is fucking awesome and we will definitely coming back again! read more

Really yummy ice cream and toppings! The bubble waffle was freshly made, they have games both inside and outside, and the decor is cute. I believe they should market this place more because it's usually empty since it's opened, but it's location is a bit hidden so that might be the case. read more

Absolute disappointment. Great concept, incredibly poor execution. Portions were minuscule while the price was extravagant. Ice cream was decent, waffle was not great. We had never had a waffle ice cream before and it did not disappoint. It is right off 288 and Magnolia Parkway. We got a Cookie Monster ice cream scoop for my toddler and hubby got a Cookie Monster shake. Caution.... this instantly turns your lips blue and your bowel movements will come out a blue/green color a day or so later. Nevertheless.... it was still good. While those sanitation issues were occurring, I observed someone watching a UFC fight on a cell phone that had been propped up on one of the restaurant's decorative areas. Whether it was during work or not, it gave the impression that sanitation was not being treated as a priority. I informed a server about the restroom conditions and asked if someone could address them. I was told not to have an attitude by my server (while explaining to him the plate). That response was disappointing, especially after raising what I believed were legitimate health and sanitation concerns. My partner also told me she saw creamers dropped onto the floor and then placed back into the serving container instead of being discarded. She also informed me that the women's restroom had bodily fluids on the toilets. To make matters worse, the plate my food was served on had dried food residue around the top, rim, and on the underside, which I photographed. Clean dishes are one of the most basic expectations when dining out. I hope management takes these concerns seriously. Restaurants are responsible for maintaining clean restrooms, properly sanitized dishware, and food-safe practices. Those standards protect both customers and employees. Unfortunately, this visit did not reflect those expectations.
