Absolute life savers. After a friend backed out of watching our bunny Daphne for 7 days, my wife and I were scrambling to find a trustworthy, experienced sitter (in house) that we could rely on. Ann responded immediately to my email and came and I was immediately impressed that she was writing down/drawing diagrams/taking notes of every word I said regarding the bunny's care. She mapped out exactly where food/dishes were and explained their service very clearly. She told me another employee (her husband) named Boni would be doing the visits and that I could also meet him if I wanted. When we left for vacation for the first day, I was a little bit nervous about how everything would go. Living in NY and trusting people to enter/exit your apartment is always scary at first. Just as promised, we received a text message that day, and every day after updating us on Daphne's status, saying "Daphne is doing great, all food eaten!, fresh water, hay, pellets and lettuce given at 4PM"....I really appreciated this level of communication, knowing that Daphne was being fed but also knowing she was ok. Upon our return, we found Daphne happy as could be and the apartment exactly as we left it. Boni even cleaned up the bunny droppings that Daphne occasionally leaves on the floor when she misses the litter box. Once they knew we were home, Boni came by and dropped off our keys, he was extremely friendly and likable. I cannot express enough how happy we are to have found Ann and Boni. They offer an amazingly detailed service for a great, affordable price. I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone in need of loving pet care. read more

Ann and Boni are simply the best! I was so incredibly glad to have found them about a year ago. We were a bit outside their service area but they agreed to expand for us to be able to walk our doggie Benjamin 3 times a week. Using Ann and Boni's services was absolutely stress-free and it was so comforting to know they were visiting my dog while I was away. My dog has some leash aggression issues but Ann and Boni handled him perfectly on walks. He absolutely fell in love with them! I'm certain seeing Ann and Boni was the highlight of his day :) I also really appreciated how flexible Ann and Boni were about making somewhat last minute changes to my weekly schedule. They always did everything they could to add walks where I needed them from week to week. Ann and Boni have been looking in on our cats when we're on vacation for at least half a dozen years. We always look forward to their daily emails and photos reassuring us that all is well -- a real plus. They are splendid caregivers, feeding, meticulously cleaning up after, reliably giving medication to, and playing with our cats. Too, they are observant, noticing, for example, which cats have little nicks on their throats -- once in a while, a case of too much roughhousing between the boys. They saw that one of our cats used to lean her left front paw on her haunch while sitting, and asked about it. (As it turned out, a charming affectation.) When we had a cat that required special food, Ann brought some cans over for us to try. In addition, Ann and Boni are very mindful of our house, even dealing with our sometimes faulty alarm system. We trust them absolutely. Having had about nine cats over forty years, almost all of them getting to a good elderly stage, we haven't felt this safe leaving home since our late parents used to come over to take care of them. We used Ann & Boni for our dog, Tomo, for over 5 years. They were extremely dependable, extraordinarily nice, and always professional. Every time Boni would show up to walk Tomo, he would run in circles of joy and bring him over a toy. I'm sure that's the way all dogs are. But the point is, he loved Boni so much! Both Ann & Boni are also great with communication and have excellent systems in place, enabling simple scheduling, easy invoice payments, and helpful updates. Sadly, we're leaving Ditmas Park and won't be able to use them in our new neighborhood. As excited as we are about our move, we're sad to lose such a wonderful service run by truly wonderful people. If only our dog Lenny could talk (I wish!), she'd say Ann, Boni, and Melissa are her best friends! We work non-traditional evening and weekend schedules, so we typically need evening walks for our pup. Small World has made our lives so much easier. We know that while we're at work, Lenny gets a visit from a reliable, compassionate person and gets a nice walk, treats, and playtime. They streamline all communication with us through a user-friendly online portal--including updates on schedules, timely and detailed invoices, and best of all we get an email after each walk explaining how everything went (often including a cute photo!). They really, truly care about animals and it makes a big difference. They never walk more than one dog at a time, which is major for us as we love that Lenny is getting personal attention (she LOVES attention) on her walks. We can't recommend them enough! read more

I can't say enough about how amazing it is to have Small World Pet sitters walk my dog everyday. I've had difficulties finding trustworthy walkers in the past so I definitely have high standards. Ann and Boni have always been super accommodating to my specific requests for clothing and feeding my dog. They will even put on my dogs shoes or wipe the dirt off his feet when he comes in from his walk! (I'm clearly a high maintenance dog owner.) Because my dog has a lot of anxiety around other dogs, they are sensitive to that and cross the street when a dog is coming towards my dog. They also have a policy that when walking dogs, they aren't on their phones, which prevents distractibility in handling. The online system is easy to use for scheduling and communicating and they usually respond very quickly. The best part is that I get a pic everyday of my little old pup! read more

We have our share of horror stories like I am sure you do such as the door to our home being left unlocked because the moron the agency sent over to take care of our animals is an idiot. In my 30 years of having cats, I have never felt so good about pet sitters as I do about Small World. I have terrible separation anxiety when I travel and leave my pets at home but Ann and Boni and their team put my mind at rest. I love their meticulous questionnaires about care of the pet and the fact that ask for 2 copies of your keys (in case the sitter accidentally loses the first pair, I guess, down a street grate, I guess!) makes them very, very dear to my heart! They send pix of the cats every day and that's great, too. Christine, who recently moved on to a new job, I hear, somehow cured a very shy cat of mine, who hid from all other sitters for 16 years, and even from my husband. I would give Small world another 2 stars if allowed! When I have to leave Supercat and go away I do not worry one bit. Boni, Ann and associates take great care of not only my cat but my place. When I come home there is never a thing out of order. I love getting a text and photo every day of my cat. I love that Boni always pets and plays with Super. I had foot surgery last Fall. I couldn't take care of my cat. Boni or Ann came over every day and helped. It was a big relief. They were also very kind to me and made sure I was ok. Supercat was sick during this time. Boni was very concerned and helped nurse Supercat to prime health. I hardly ever review anything but these people are awesome and provide the best service possible! read more

We can't praise enough the services of Ann and Boni who have sitted our 2 cats a good 4 times by now over as long as 2 weeks. They are very reliable and definitely know pets. They have given medicine to one of our cats and followed instructions to the dot. They send you a daily email to let you know all is well at home, with a picture more than often. Litter box was impeccable and our cats where clearly well looked after when we came back home. They also watered our plants, and warned us when the heat was raising to turn on the AC. Ann and Boni are fantastic -- great with pets and patient with their needs. One of my cats is an anxious hider. The other is sweet and playful but has to be given an inhaler for her asthma twice daily and her regimen of other medicines and/or supplements has been in flux since we adopted her last November. Ann and Boni roll with the cats' personalities and requirements and send brief daily updates (and sometimes photos) letting us know that all is well. I've been a very happy client of SWPS since they first opened; when I first signed on with them I had a very elderly cat that they took special care of, and when he passed away Ann and Boni very kindly made a memorial donation in his name with a local cat rescue. What can I say other than the fact that then I trust my most beloved babies with small world. And doing so has let me go on trips further and further away with as a little anxiety as possible about leaving them. Both my guys have kidney issues and I always feel in the safest hands. I am pretty particular about who I will entrust with my cats. Ann and Boni learned about all of our habits and my cats' different personalities before staying here while I was away, and didn't blink when at the last minute one cat got an eye infection and needed meds. She looked much better when I got back than she did when I left! I had a good feeling about Ann and Boni immediately upon meeting them and am very proud to support their amazing business. I cannot recommend Ann and Boni highly enough. We have an extremely shy elderly dog who requires extra care and attention. Nico does not warm up to many people, especially men, but Boni quickly established an excellent Bond. Nico gets excited when we see him biking around the neighborhood. We use Small World for both dog walks and pet sitting when we go away and cannot bring the dog with us. We never worry when Nico is in Ann and Boni's care. They always check for any medication or care updates and Nico's care changes often, but they are on top of all details.
