This is Lola's graduation from boot camp ....

Kate's amazing... We have a small dog that would bite anyone that would come near us.. We searched for trainers but no one will deal with a dog that bites. Kate came over our house and in the first hour changes the behavior of the dog. We did boot camp with her and it was worth ever dime!!!! She has changed our life and we now have a much happier dog... We still keep in contact with her and she answers all my questions... We have renamed her as the dog whisper ... I could write a super long review but you get the point.. If you want someone that will teach you how to be a better pet owner she's the one for you.... And she's got an amazing personality to..... Thank you Kate we truly won the lotto with you!!!!!!

Kate's Canines is THE BEST if your a new dog owner like we were!! We got the 6 training new dog sessions and they were worth every penny! The first visit in the home she taught us the simple direction of 'place' that changed our apartment life! Then moving to the park and learning down stays helped with our little Dolly's impulse control. She was on call in the moment when I had a delightful neighbor call the cops on my little lady because she was howling scared after having escaped her crate and running loose in the apartment. Katie gave us so many tools to help calm her down and make her more confident in herself! She knows how to work with you to help you help your dog and we can't say thank you enough!

Chance in "place"! Now it's his favorite place to go... Instead of walking all over me on the couch. :)

I am so happy that I found Kate! She came to work with me and my bratty, bossy and all around egotistical dog. Lol. Basic place command and auto sit on the leash have been a life saver. She even helped to train my dog walker on the best way to handle my beast. She was always encouraging, polite and knowledgable. She gave great suggestions and with follow through and work on my end, I feel that she has really changed the dynamic In the house and the power has shifted back into my corner. Thanks so much! You don't know how much you've helped!

    Winston and Kate!

Let me start by saying you will not find someone who is more dedicated to their job and actually wants to help people, Kate is the best! She literally helped me when no one else would. What I mean by that is she allowed me to come into her home since she couldn't travel to mine. Kate had no doubt that she wouldn't be able help with my puppy's behavior problems and basic training within a two month period. She made training fun and helped me learn basic methods that I didn't know such as a leash is your best friend! Not only did our puppy Winston love her, but so did we. Kate even covered socialization with her dogs and ours, you can tell by how trained her dogs are that she knows what she's doing. I know that I can always rely on her for any of my doggy needs even now that our sessions are over! Winston is now much better and with her tips and tricks he will only grow from here!

We saw changes in our dog after only 6 days. Kate's techniques are effective, and doable even if you have a busy schedule. We adopted an elderly basset from a rescue and we weren't sure he could be trained at all. But Kate has proven you CAN teach an old dog new tricks. After several failed trainers before her I can say with confidence this is one of the best options in New York City.

Katie is great at getting to the root of the problem quickly and focusing on "training" the owners as well as the dog.

I spent 1.5 hours in the pouring rain w Anthony as we walked Benny into the field, where he was off-leash and learning how to follow, and also enjoying his time socializing with dogs. Anthony impressed upon me how important social play is for dogs to PURGE THE ENERGY out. Not going to lie, i LOVE to walk with dogs, and sitting around while THEY play was not my thing. LOL. WORLD OF A DIFFERENCE it has made. Benny is a great walker now (not pulling 90% of the time). He knows how to act when other dogs walk by us as he is rewarded to meet them after behaving! He's doing so well. Still a little touchy on the running toddlers and guarding, but I am confident we'll get there thanks for Anthony's guidance! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND HIM, especially for new pups and rescue dogs!

For context, I have a 2 year old anxious labradoodle named Gus. When he was approached by new people he would aggressively bark and growl. I had worked with another dog trainer for over a year -- his problems just became worse. I became reluctant to do things with Gus because I was fearful he would growl/bark/act inappropriately when meeting new people. I was at my wits end and I consulted with a well respected training program here in NYC that said he was a "moderate to severe case" and would need multiple weeks of boarding training + years of follow up training to address his issues. Anthony solved Gus's problems in 1 session. Yes, 1 session... Within seconds of meeting him, Anthony just "got" Gus. His advice and feedback was completely different from the feedback I got from the other trainers and Gus responded immediately. I am not exaggerating when I say that Gus has not growled or barked at a single stranger since working with Anthony. I have been able to do so much with Gus and he seems so much calmer, happier and more confident than he was before. I only wish I had reached out to Anthony a year and a half ago. TL;DR- Don't waste your time or money with other trainers. Call Anthony today. You will be glad you did.

My husband and I reached out to Sean after he was recommended to us by another dog owner we knew, and after we had worked with four previous trainers with limited success. We were struggling with two very large, male adolescent Chow Shepherd mix littermates, whom we had adopted from a rescue without knowing any of the cautionary tales about raising littermates together and how difficult the training process can be. Before Sean, we primarily received criticism and judgment from trainers rather than actual training techniques and strategies. Sean was undeterred by the fact that we had littermates, and he provided clear guidance and feedback from day one. Our dogs were immediately responsive, and our sessions with Sean completely transformed our communication and relationship with our boys. His patience and insightful feedback really instilled confidence in us as owners of large breed dogs, and we have since received countless comments about how well-behaved our dogs are (which we always attribute to his expert training). Sean has remained such an incredible resource and support system for us and was even there for us when we very unexpectedly lost one of our dogs to hemangiosarcoma earlier this year. We were beyond devastated, and he was a beacon of light during that dark and painful time. I honestly can't recommend him and Walk Dog Talk Dog enough. We are forever grateful that he came into our lives!

When I got my pup (Ollie), he was a little scared of other dogs. He would bark at them and go crazy, he will also see certain people and go nuts as well. If you got into an elevator with me and him, he would bark at you. Not in an aggressive way, more like who are you give me love kinda of way. He also loved to pull and drag me or whoever walked him around. I had already trained him with potty training, but was concerned that his behavior kept getting worse. My neighbor also has a German Shepherd and her dog is insane. She can barely control him and he's also super aggressive. My fear was that Ollie would wind up like that and that I'd have to give him up because I wouldn't be able to control him). After reading a lot of reviews, I contacted Abcs of Dog Training, and spoke to Michael. I was interested in the three week training. Michael was very clear and honest from the start. Seemed to know what he was doing. He agreed to come pick up Ollie. While away, Michael sent me updates. He taught him commands and socialized Ollie. Now when I take him for walks, Ollie never barks at anyone, not even at other dogs. The only time when he barks is when we are inside the home and there's someone approaching the door from the outside. He walks great on the leash, and listens to me. You have to keep on practicing the commands (heel, sit, leave it, lay down, stay, drop it, measure walk, and a few more). I'm extremely grateful for Michael and his training. Training was a bit expensive but so worth it. Michael also offers the two week follow up and is there for any questions you may have before and after the process.
