One star is too much! I took my dog for grooming yesterday (6/10). It was her first time; she is 5 months old. I told them that I wanted them to cut a bit around her eyes, her paws, and her private area. I told them that I love her CURLS. I also showed them how I wanted her to look. I will NEVER go to this place anymore. 1. Photo: Before grooming. 2. Photo: How we wanted her to look. 3 & 4. Photo: After grooming. 5. Photo: receipt Moreover, before I saw her, they asked me if I wanted to add the tip, and of course, I gave them because I trusted them. Later, I asked for I refund for the $110.30 I paid. But unfortunately, I cannot revert what they've done. Obviously, I loved her so much but is very hard for me and my partner to look at these pictures and see how PETCO ruined our puppy's hair :(

Shameful, disappointing, and horrible treatment of Betta fish. As a multiple Betta fish owner, they are not merely "just fish." I can attest to them having their own individual quirky little personalities, my last being such a ham and a lover of being photographed. I went in today to look at some Bettas and was just horrified. They are very obviously not cared for, or even fed. The plastic containers contained no food and there were no air holes in the containers. It was a Betta graveyard. Such beautiful fish laying dead, some laying there for obviously quite some time, some looked like new deaths. It was just sad. This place should be ashamed. A store that's a place to care for pets and that does anything but that. Every living being is worthy of care and respect. RIP little babies, you did not deserve that life. SHAME ON YOU, REGO CENTER PETCO.

Whoever closed the store at the Petco location on junction Blvd on the night of September 14th 2020 should be ashamed of their lack of professionalism and courtesy-as I was given the middle finger by an associate who told me they already closed the registers 5 min prior to store closing when I attempted to enter the store to pickup a harness for my emotional support animal.

    uneven cut of the legs

Went in for my puppy's first grooming session and they did a terrible job with the cut, not taking anything off the body/trunk and messed up the limbs and the head. The service cost around $100 and I was terrified looking at my pup after picking her up; it was a botched job that looks like it took them less than 5 minutes to do. Very disappointing, I had to fix her up at home and with my zero experience in cutting hair, I did a better job than they did. Do not recommend bringing your pets here for grooming.

I take my puppy to this Petco location regularly for the vaccine package which he finally finished. Yay! Now he can finally get groomed. I always watch puppies getting groomed while our pup would wait to get his vaccines. The groomers are so patient and kind with the pups. I couldn't wait to take mine! Today was finally his turn and he just had a face feet and Fanny with an added on holiday package that included clipping and biding nails, brushing teeth, extended brush out & a holiday scented spritz- basically he got pampered. When returning to pick up my pup I saw him getting his finishing touches and his groomer was sooo sweet and affectionate with my fur boy. He looks and smells amazing! We kept getting compliments on him from everyone on our way out and heading home. Rubi was my pups groomer & highly recommend her. I would give this location a 5th star but they don't always have what I need in stock and the vaccine clinic cancelled on me two weekends in a row. They were amazing aside from that and also affordable in comparison to so many other groomers and vaccine sites.

What is it about these little critters that bring joy to our lives. This Petco is fairly medium in size and caters to a few handful of pet products. They have items for dogs, cats, birds, aquatic life, reptiles, etc... I noticed mostly dog food, cat food, cushions, litter bowls, cages, carrying bags, toys and other accessories. One or two special items include ice cream and a non-processed meat shrink wrapped item in the little fridge. I noticed an occasional dog grooming service going on sometimes. They have a handful of adoption viewings with plastic/glass windows to see the cats/dogs up for adoption but seldom are any available at this location, only every once in a while. The have hamster, birds, fish mainly for sale on my most recent visit. Prices range from a cheap one serve canister for the cat to $50 bags of natural chow for the dog. This place is very chill and the staff so-so helpful depending on who. It is clean inside and staff seem to do their job well and answer question in an okay manner.

My girlfriend and I contacted Dominik for some help with our 1.5 year old goldendoodle, Benny…read more Benny is a great dog but after training him ourselves for the first year or so we still needed to clean up a few areas of concern. We asked Dominik for help with the following: - Leash training. Despite trying to train basic leash skills with Benny it often felt like my girlfriend & I were out on a walk WITH HIM as opposed to the other way around. When he smelled or saw something interesting (plants, trees, stop signs, NYC street food aka chicken bones) he would quickly divert his path to go check that thing out & it would take us quite a bit of convincing to get him back at our side & walking again. - Reactivity to other dogs, and sometimes children, on the street. Benny would typically lay down prone when passing other dogs or children on bikes/scooters, encouraging them to come up to him, and then he would quickly pop up to say hello - sometimes startling the other dog and/or owner. We wanted him to stop with the laying down in the middle of the sidewalk & stop quickly popping up to say hello. - Reactivity to guests (expected or not) & delivery people. Benny would bark and growl anytime someone approached our front door or entered the house. Dominik helped us understand some of the bad habits we were utilizing as handlers and how they played into some of the behaviors we wanted to correct. Since working with Dominik Benny no longer lays down on the street to greet other dogs; he's still very curious and will look in their direction but he remains at our side without breaking stride. Along those lines, our walks are much more enjoyable now that he is obedient on leash, listens to our commands, and maintains eye contact/attention on us throughout our walks. Lastly, our final session was yesterday and we worked specifically on reactivity to unexpected guests and by utilizing place training + a positive reward system Benny was no longer growling at our friend who was there to act as a guest for the training session. Dominik also helped us work on off-leash recall skills & a proper heel position. Not only did he help us become better dog parents; he also helped Benny to be more confident when in new scenarios & improved his overall obedience. Dominik also introduced us to some tools that we were not familiar with (slip lead, clicker training, place board) and somewhat uncomfortable with before he taught us the proper techniques to utilize them (prong collar). We'll be utilizing all of these tools moving forward as they have been a massive aid. After 6 sessions with Dominik we feel more informed, prepared, & confident in continuing Benny's training. We can't thank Dominik enough.

Book your appointments early! He books up quick (he's that great). He is also very personale which is a huge plus. During our consultation he immediately told me that three sessions would be the best package based off of the information I told him. I appreciated his honesty and he the fact he did not try to upsell me. During the first 10/15 minutes of meeting our pup, he provided his diagnosis. Not only that, he taught us something that corrected one of his behaviors before the end of the session. His first session was December 2020. We followed the instructions from the first session until his second session in February 2021. At first the appointments being spread out concerned us but, as soon as he came over, it was seamless and we picked up where we left off. He taught us more techniques and made it clear he was available for any questions until the next session. He implemented effective changes that were easy to teach and transferrable in addressing different behaviors. Todd completed his final session this month and the overall differences are notable. He addressed hand shyness, when company comes over, leash and collar changes, better obedience (shibas are stubborn), walking techniques, reactions/reinforcements, as well as better play techniques. I have already recommended him to a friend. Book him, you won't regret it!

Anthony impressed upon me how important social play is for dogs to PURGE THE ENERGY out. Not going to lie, i LOVE to walk with dogs, and sitting around while THEY play was not my thing. LOL. WORLD OF A DIFFERENCE it has made. Benny is a great walker now (not pulling 90% of the time). He knows how to act when other dogs walk by us as he is rewarded to meet them after behaving! I became reluctant to do things with Gus because I was fearful he would growl/bark/act inappropriately when meeting new people. I was at my wits end and I consulted with a well respected training program here in NYC that said he was a "moderate to severe case" and would need multiple weeks of boarding training + years of follow up training to address his issues. Anthony solved Gus's problems in 1 session. Yes, 1 session... Within seconds of meeting him, Anthony just "got" Gus. His advice and feedback was completely different from the feedback I got from the other trainers and Gus responded immediately. I am not exaggerating when I say that Gus has not growled or barked at a single stranger since working with Anthony. I have been able to do so much with Gus and he seems so much calmer, happier and more confident than he was before. I only wish I had reached out to Anthony a year and a half ago.
