(5 stars is NOT enough!) I cannot recommend Vivi Pet Care enough, 5 stars truly doesn't do it justice. From the moment you walk in, you can tell how incredibly clean and well-organized the space is. Every single pet there is calm, happy, and clearly well cared for, which says everything about the environment and the people who work there. The staff is beyond friendly, always smiling, patient, and with the best possible attitude. You can feel that they genuinely love what they do. I bring my dog Maximus here for baths and grooming, and Renata was absolutely wonderful. She is highly skilled, confident, and calm, which is essential because my dog is NOT easy at all. She handled him beautifully and with so much care and professionalism. I live in New Jersey, and I still drive all the way to Astoria because this is the only place I truly trust with my dog. That alone says everything. The owner, Vivi, is a real animal lover in every sense of the word. She even let me stay the entire time and watch Maximus being groomed, which gave me so much peace of mind and showed incredible transparency and confidence in her team. I called to make appointments for my dog to trial before boarding , They told me to bring my dog at 6 pm . I arrived at 6.10 . The lady in front desk told me i show up late I told her the situation that my dog did not want to walk and I have to carry her all the way there I was sweat crazy . We have used Vivi Pet Care for grooming and daycare, and our dogs have always had wonderful experiences. Past groomers have struggled to handle our dogs' nervous natures during grooming, but the Vivi team has consistently done a great job. The daycare services are also great! Our dogs love this place so much that anytime we walk by the building, they pull us towards it because they think they're going to daycare and get so excited. My grandpup, Fendi went to Vivi Pet Care for grooming on her birthday in March. Unfortunately, during the grooming process, her tail was cut to the bone. When my daughter and son-in-law picked her up, the staff at Vivi Pet Care, along with a "vet" they knew, suggested they amputate her tail right then and there in the salon, in front of other dogs. We were not aware of the severity of the cut until we took her to our own vet for a second opinion. Our vet informed us that our Fendi's tail would have to be amputated, which will cost us $7,000. Vivi Pet Care is now refusing to pay for the damage they caused. I would like to warn others to avoid leaving their pets at this place as they are causing harm to animals. First time grooming our mix yorkiepoo bichon puppy and Viviane has won us over! She truly cares about the animals and it shows through her personality. She gave our pup much attention and kindness. The staff is wonderful! They have many dogs in their daycare and they were running around together in a safe, enclosed area. We saw a staffmember hugging the dogs and my 9 year old was so happy to be there watching the interactions. Vivi explained the grooming process to us and let us stay to watch since it was our first experience. They called us 1.5 hr later and our pup was happy and looked adorable!!! I'm so so so SO SO SO glad I found the perfect groomer for my dog! The lady at the front desk is super friendly and was helpful in answering any questions I had. Also, setting up an appointment on the phone was quick and efficient. When I arrived, Vivi made sure to ask me and figure out how I wanted my dog to be groomed due to my prior experience where I absolutely hated the cut. She was super patient and gentle with my dog. My dog is a whiner, but when I came in a little bit early to see how he was doing, he was cool, calm, and collective. We have boarded our dog with Vivi 3 times this year. Every visit has been wonderful. The staff is friendly and professional and so sweet with our pup. They have indoor and outdoor space for the dogs and provide daily videos for boarding so we can see what our dog is up to. Great service. My puppy is highly anxious and nervous in unfamiliar places- she even hesitated to walk through the door. But the groomer was great- very patient, kind and understanding and with my dog. She explained she will take breaks as my dog needs and will go at her pace (which she did as it took 4.5 hours, 1 hour past closing time) she explained she does this because if the dog has a bad experience, they'll be reluctant to come back and the owner will see that, which is very true. They did a very good job and she was very attentive to my requests of style. My puppy did propose a problem as she is afraid of strangers and the groomer handled it excellently with empathy and professionalism. I'd only bring my dog back here and would even only bring her there for daycare for the first time because of my trust in the staff. read more

We recently moved to Astoria and used to have a regular groomer who was pretty good but oof, lower Manhattan prices are killer and sometimes we'd pick up our poodle mix to find that he got a classic "foofy" poodle cut which is not what we/I ask for. I've had an absolutely terrible experience- I took my pup here for a hair cut and as I was trying to explain what I wanted, the groomer took my dog and said "yes, yes got it". When we picked him up, I wanted to cry! They totally butchered his haircut. He looks absolutely terrible. When I asked why his hair was cut extremely low (mind you this isn't good for poodle breeds), she said it was because he had a lot of knots! I wanted to scream and yell. Now I have to take him back to his regular groomer to it fix it. BUT I have to wait for the hair to grow. I will never go back to this place. Absolutely horrible.
