We have been using this service for 3 years and have had a great experience with them up until Memorial day weekend 2016. We scheduled a visit with them for our cat on that Sunday. We received a call by the sitter assigned (Karina) saying she had lost our key and could not provide care to our cat. We immediately had the owner (Tiana) call us to resolve the issue. It could not be resolved. The service had no backup plan and put the responsibility on us to resolve the lockout even though it was their employee that lost the key. The fact that the sitter/walker (Karina) can be so negligent and still remain employed at this service prompts me to write this review. We have since found a separate service that employs a two key set system to prevent such mistakes. Fortunately it was only one day, I can't even imagine if this were to happen over a week long holiday. My constructive advise to this service would be to implement a two set key system to mitigate these mistakes.

Tiana came over to meet my pup and that took down all of her medical history, feeding schedule, and vet information. Tiana and the team are flexible, with a two hour window for booking/cancellation. They are always on time and I love getting updates from the walks or a card on my counter when I get home. I have a young puppy who is very small and I know they take amazing care of her. Tiana is highly professional and runs Paw Prints like a real business, which is very unlike dog walking in NYC. They are organized, email me invoices and always give me updates on how she is doing. I will never use another company again as long as Paw Prints is around! Highly highly reccomend them!

Now, I was a little worried that he wouldn't take care of my baby like I would during walks but I tried his service and I have a dog walker now! While I was at work he notified me by the minute on where he was, when she got fed, the time he left, and when he returned. He even went as far as picking up the mail and taking out the trash. My caffe was very happy, calm and fed when i came home. He is trustworthy and very friendly and I will be regularly using his services. The prices are reasonable. I went with the 5 day package because of my busy work schedule and I got a really good discount in total. I have more time to myself when i come home now. Thank you WalkSpot!

I swear that they have never actually bit anyone, but they want everyone to believe that they will. I explained this to Matt, who assured me that they deal with this sort of stuff on the regular. I firmly requested a female walker who must love chihuahuas, and I didn't want a backup or substitute walker. During the meet and greet with Vanessa that went smoothly, Miss Bossypants (my chihuahua-pug) tried to bark at her. Vanessa told her "you don't scare me", and that was it and she never did it again. They were immediately smitten with her, and they get so excited for their walks! My chiweenie even gives her kisses. It brightens my day to know that my dogs are so happy. After every walk I get photos and a pee/poo report. Scheduling is really easy through the portal and when I request changes I always get a fast response.

Everyday I'd get photos and videos from Ana who managed to have immediate rapport with this shy pair. She'd send videos of them playing and eating treats along with daily shots of clean litter, full water fountain, wet food and dry food. And all of this for a very reasonable price. I won't hesitate to call them again. Thank you McCarren Bark

Ferdinand is a rescue dog, who was shy and scared of loud noises when we got him. He's now over 2 years old, a playful little dog, ready to walk (most of the time) and to have fun with other dogs. As much as I'd like to take credit for his progress, I think Phyllis have much more to do with it. Phyllis is a great dog walker. She never stopped working during the Pandemic, always mindful to tend to her pet friends while protecting herself and families. Making sure Ferdie had his daily walk with her was a life saver in the middle of homeschooling and remote working. Phyllis' love for animals is obvious. She helped us get Ferdie ready to walk with other dogs, always leaves detailed feedback if Ferdie is more anxious than usual. She also was a great support as we welcomed our third son back home last year, advising us on how to behave with Ferdie, and sharing some very helpful kid friendly videos for my two older kids so they learn to play safely with Ferdie. Ferdie is now very well adjusted to our family, and us to him. We feel very fortunate to have found Pooch and Kitty to help us transition from a family with two children and no pets, to a family of three children and a dog.

Hi Yelpers- This review is long overdue, but should be…read morehelpful to pet owners looking for care. Thanks to Pooch and Kitty for their services for nearly 10 years. My story starts with trying to find a cat sitter as I was travelling more a few times a year (domestic and foreign - as far as New Zealand), and my new cat (Sweet Pea, a Manx breed shelter cat) needed a friendly face every day while away. I tried a couple of services, but had very unprofessional experiences that made my home feel unsafe. Had to change the locks on the 2nd one- so weird. So now, on to the good news. I found Pooch and Kitty. The owner, Phyllis Klein is caring and highly professional. The intro is professional, chill, and started with an opportunity for the potential sitter to meet you and your pet, so that both parties are comfortable, and gave me the moment to communicate any building rules. Great. I have felt so happy and safe with the 2 sitters I had over the years. Thank you Serra, and most importantly, thank you Bonnie. Bonnie gave great daily updates (as I traveled the most during her time). Her recent observation on his eating led me to immediately decide that maybe he needs a random vet check in addition to the regular. He ultimately had lymphoma and I lost him months later. But if not for her simple observations communicated in the daily updates, I would not have noticed as quickly (the lack of separation during quarantine made it harder to notice small changes). As a result, I had more time than I would have, while treating his illness. Sweet Pea had caring friends with Pooch and Kitty. And I have all Bonnie's hilarious video updates, sometimes with silly filters which I loved! This is a great service that I recommend. They are lovely, and should be part of your pet sitting needs. The kind words from Phyllis and Bonnie after I let them know he didn't make it were comforting. Should I be fortunate to be a cat owner again, I will continue to be a client. Thanks for listening.

Helen and her assistants did a great job on my very old and heavily matted cat and gave me tons of great advice about a better cat litter to use, how to ease matts in between service, and the best tools to use to keep him brushed. It was a big job and the cat came out as calm as could be expected and absolutely perfect looking, versus previous very unsatisfactory grooming experiences with other services. Helen's assistants are always lovely too and clearly like cats and their work.

It has taken…read moreme this long to write a review because I wanted to give myself some time to cool down before writing this. I'm pretty shocked that the Pet Maven has such high reviews on Yelp as my experience with Helen was pretty disappointing. Instead of going into detail of this seemingly everlasting ordeal I will simply give you the bullet points. - Made a huge mess of my apartment, there was hair literally everywhere. They did not cover anything in my kitchen before taking a buzzer to my Cat Chicken. Imagine in all my kitchenware, kitchen appliances, on the stove, above the fridge, on the floors all over the apartment huge balls of fur. - Used my towels which they then left on the floor for me to clean up - full of fur - Extremely uneven trim, guaranteed that a simple wash and blow dry would help extensively with the shedding, promised a trim but did NOT deliver. - Overall poor experience, she just kept referring to herself as a professional but I felt anything but a professional experience with her. She charged me 200 to basically take my cat under the sink and barely BARELY wash him basically just soaped her hands up and wiped my Cat down. The majority of the time was blow drying his very uneven fur. Again, I must stress, fur went flying EVERYWHERE with their blow-dyer. I've since then buzzed him down myself as Chicken has taken quite a liking the the buzzer. I've checked with a few other groomers in the city and it looks to me that Pet Maven is running some sort of scam with their grooming services. I can't speak to the cat siting as I haven't experienced it but the avg for grooming seems to sit under 100USD. I would have called a requested a refund but I honestly just don't want to have to interact with her again. If anything her assistant was much more pleasant to be around. I hope this helps, best of luck. (see photos of Chicken post haircut.)
