I contacted Michael after a recommendation from our vet, who herself had noticed the escalating change in my dog. Michael was a god send! Not only does he really know and love dogs, but he's a great teacher. He was great at helping me understand the way dogs think and taught me what I needed to do in order to better command my dog and give him the boundaries, direction, and leadership he needed to feel more calm and confident. Not only did my dog LOVE our sessions with Michael (he would even wait for him by the door when he knew he had "school"), but he learned very quickly and is now a LOT calmer over all. Situations that were once stressful and even sometimes dangerous for us are now calm and much better controlled, and we can resume normal life activities again. Michael taught me to understand what my dog needs from ME, so that I can get better behavior from and provide a happier and calmer life for HIM. That being said, remember that dog training involves training the owner in order to train the dog, so you also have to put in the work! Just calling Michael and not doing any of the training on your own between sessions will not solve anything! Additionally, Michael is very professional and kind, is quick to respond to questions or problems via text, email, and phone, and is very flexible with his scheduling (we did the private in-home sessions). He takes the time to address all your concerns, and always aims to use safe and positive reinforcement training methods, rather than other trainers I had researched that use methods that include things like shock collars and consequence-based training, which I personally did not prefer to use for my dog if I could avoid it. Calling Michael was the best thing I could have ever done for my dog, and for my family as well. I can't say enough about how great our experience was with Michael! I would highly recommend him!

Cookie was loving but she had a TERRIBLE nipping problem (along with other issues). She had gone through 2 trainers already and nothing was working. With a 7 year old child in the house, Cookie spent most of her time in her crate. I just could not risk my daughter accidentally getting hurt. Cookie went with Danny for 4 weeks and she came back a whole new dog. Before Danny, cookie was never allowed to roam the house. I am forever grateful for Danny's patience. He would send me updates, pictures and videos on Cookies progress. He even followed up with another lesson to show my dad how to properly handle Cookie at home. Thank you Danny! You saved Cookie.

When he left, he was biting the furniture, not listening at all to commands and having accidents all over the house. He came home so well behaved, but still with the same cuddly loving personality. Danny and his wife were very kind and patient and treated Charlie like part of their family!

I tell our trainers Katie and Nicole all of the time that they are life savers. We brought our puppy here at 1 years old - a small wild, energetic Jack Russell who knew every time I was on a video meeting to bark his head off and embarrass me EVERY TIME! Walks were out of the question since he would pull on the leash to the point he would choke himself... sitting on the deck was a nightmare in our own backyard because he would bark at the wind (yes, the wind), the leaves moving, the birds and obviously the neighbors. Does this sound familiar? I questioned my decision of getting a puppy and then I found Max K9. We did a 3 week Board & Train where I was super hesitant of dropping him off (because no one wants to leave their baby anywhere), but they were so good with sending video progress and pictures and including my husband and I in the process. I joke with everyone that I think they implanted a program into his brain! Lol! The transformation was unreal. We were instantly able to communicate with him and actually go on a walk.. outside in the real world. What a breath of fresh air, literally! Max K9 has given us the ability to live an active lifestyle and have our pup enjoy it with us. Hikes, traveling, morning walks, trips to the store, brewery visits, long car rides out of state... you name it. I would do it all over again if I had to without a question. So if you've made it this far, thanks for reading. I hope this helps you make your decision to having a better relationship with your pup and enjoying life with them every step of the way.

We were having trouble trying to help him adjust from living in the south on a large property to living in a one bedroom apartment with cats and a smaller back yard. We were set up with our trainer, Jim, he educated us on how to handle Keiko properly (from basic obedience to different enrichment), build a better bridge of communication and help with his confidence. Our last session Keiko even decided he was going to try one of the obstacles from maximum K9's agility course (no prompting from us) shocking both me and my fiancé. Safe to say Keiko loves Maximum K9 as much as we do . Since our training we have been able to do so much more and get Keiko better involved in our activities (which we know he loves). They also have so many great treats, toys, and training tools for those at varying levels in their store portion.

I never had a pet growing up and was completely lost when we rescued Stormie in November 2019. I researched dog trainers near Farmingdale and everywhere I looked I saw a recommendation for Sublime K9. Katie arranged to come at the end of November for an initial consultation to get to know us, Stormie and how many lessons we would need to purchase. Katie worked with us for scheduling due to having a sometimes unpredictable schedules. Katie would come for hour lessons where she modeled and demonstrated the command she wanted us to perform then would allow me and my boyfriend to take turns working with Stormie through that command. It was helpful because she would pinpoint things we were to correct as we were training and how to advance or regress the command. The training sessions were for us to be educated on how to train our dog because in the end of the day, she would be with us and not Katie. We had difficulty with walking Stormie all of a sudden. She would freeze and not want to continue the walk. Katie allows you to text her whenever to ask her questions! We sent her videos and pictures and during the next lesson she worked with us to get Stormie to be more compliant on walks. I cannot thank Katie and Sublime K9 enough. You have educated us so much and have helped us learn about our pup. We are able to understand what she is trying to communicate to us as she has learned what we are trying to communicate with her.

He is also very jealous if anyone comes near me or my husband and barks uncontrollably when we hug or kiss each other. We have a baby on the way, so I called Sublime K9 to have him evaluated to see if we could fix his bad behaviors before the baby comes. I was afraid that at 3.5 years old, it was too late to break his bad habits. Katie came to our home for a FREE consultation/evaluation (other places I called charged for the evaluation unless you decide to proceed with the training - Sublime K9 was free regardless). She was very knowledgeable and informative and made me feel very comfortable from the start. She was very honest with me and assured me that just 5 sessions to work on basic commands should be enough to correct his problem behaviors. I especially love that she didn't try to sell me more sessions than were necessary and the pricing was very fair. Katie is far more than just a dog trainer - she is a human trainer. She not only worked extremely well with our dog, she educated us on how to best train him and teach him to listen to us, outside of training sessions. As first time dog owners, we had a lot to learn and Katie helped us every step of the way. She even went out of her way to check on me after a frustrating session where I began to doubt whether I would be able to make any progress with my dog. I can happily say, our corgi is totally transformed and I feel confident that our new peaceful lifestyle will be welcoming for our baby girl!

Couldn't be more proud of this pup. 6 weeks ago she was everything to me but was also very tough to manage. She was the sweetest dog 1 on 1 but had her special way of going complete berserko any time someone else entered the room. A few weeks ago a photo like this wasn't even worth trying for. She always moved out of frame and could never stay still for more than a few seconds. Marlon of @k9u_ny trained her to become not just more obedient, but a focused presence that is always looking for ways to ensure I'm loved. I feel as though I have a dog that's constantly on the look out for me. It's hard to put into words how comforting that is. It's the whole reason why I got her and after two tough years of losing hope that she'd always be a handful, here she is posing with easy for me to snap a portrait... without even the need for treats. Their service top to bottom is extraordinary. Marlon was always quickly reachable, he provided constant updates, his team was always on point and on their A game. I can't recommend him and his team enough. Althea, I'm looking forward to all of our adventures ahead. Especially now that you're not just a sane dog, but because you've become the best dog. Our dog made a tremendous amount of progress in just six weeks working with *Uncle Marlon*. At this time, we also sprinkled in a bit of day care facility to get August used to socializing properly with other dogs and learning to seperate himself from us On Saturday, for our wedding day, Marlon picked up August at 10:30 from our house and took him to daycare at his facility. He brought him to meet us at our venue at 4 and the took him back to be boarded that evening. We were so excited to have pictures with our baby on our wedding attire and can't wait to see pictures! We picked August up that Sunday ... and boy did he have a great time! 10000/10 for the greeting we got when we picked him up!! The staff is so sweet and makes the dogs feel so at home while they're away from home. We usually send August with his food, treats and a few things from home (toy, bed, blanket). Alyssa sends us pictures and videos of him playing and making new friends. It's the cutest thing ever.
