Couldn't be more proud of this pup. 6 weeks ago she was everything to me but was also very tough to manage. She was the sweetest dog 1 on 1 but had her special way of going complete berserko any time someone else entered the room. A few weeks ago a photo like this wasn't even worth trying for. She always moved out of frame and could never stay still for more than a few seconds. My husband and I started using their services a few months ago for private lessons for our new rescue dog, August. We wanted to teach our dog basic obedience and work on making sure he didn't bolt right out the door whenever he saw the door open. Our dog made a tremendous amount of progress in just six weeks working with *Uncle Marlon*. At this time, we also sprinkled in a bit of day care facility to get August used to socializing properly with other dogs and learning to seperate himself from us On Saturday, for our wedding day, Marlon picked up August at 10:30 from our house and took him to daycare at his facility. Marlon is the best! I have been taking my 6-month-old Australian Cattle Dog for personal training, daycare, and boarding for almost 2 months now. Marlon and his staff take special care of each and every dog - even when my pup was having digestive issues Marlon offered to pick up boiled chicken and feed him a bland diet to help him feel better. I am always updated with text messages and photos during daycare and boarding, and Marlon makes himself available to answer any general or training questions that I may have. He also helped me research daycares closer to where I work full-time, and I think that really shows how much he cares about my pet. As far as training goes, I tried to handle the first two months on my own - which was fine, but we hit a plateau. Since we started personal training with Marlon I have seen tremendous progress and learned how to properly incentivize/correct certain behaviors, all while never feeling pressured into any specific training approach. We have a now 8 month old German Shepherd puppy who was on and off with her training. She is usually very good with obedience but she wouldn't walk good on a leash (VERY pully) and she would drive us crazy by non-aggressively lunging at us, resource guarding, being too excited or barking at strangers. We had enough and so we contacted local trainers, but their prices were either too high or tried to push boarding or more expensive lessons for "aggressive dogs". Stella is a 5 month old Shepherd/Pitbull mix who was terrible on a leash. Marlon trained her to be the perfect little pup! We knew that not only would our Saint grow to be a massive dog, but that he would also grow very quickly! Marlon saved my relationship with my dog - I am not exaggerating when I say that I was at my wit's end before sending my retriever mix puppy to K9 University for a 3-week board and train. Canyon was a stray rescue who'd never been in apartment or on a leash; he was found wandering in fields in Louisiana and was terrified of EVERYTHING in New York. He was so timid and had virtually no confidence, and every walk was extremely stressful for both of us and had my hands sore and blistered by all his pulling and fearful skittish jerking. We originally planned to only board Canyon for 2 weeks, but Marlon gave such great updates and was so patient with answering all of our questions and sending videos that we extended his boarding an extra week. Marlon, the owner, is amazing and a gem! We met him at the beginning of the pandemic lockdown. We rescued an 8-week old Black Lab - Pit Bull mix who had incredible, endless energy. I highly recommend K9 University! Marlon is an expert canine behaviorist. He has changed our Yorkie-poo,Tucker, for the best. Tucker had a biting problem. I have used a few trainers in the past to address this issue, but none of them took the time to get to know Tucker and my family. When we had our son we realized that we needed to better train our two adult Boston Terriers because they had never been around small children before and were never really properly trained.
