We did it! My pup Maxx, a black lab mix, is now trained to walk beside me like a gentleman. There's no stress for me, on walking him. He listens to every command I say. We accomplished everything I ever wanted from dog training. From the moment that I met James, I knew we were in good hands. He was patient and my pup listened to him 100%, from day one! Besides nicely walking alongside of me, he also doesn't jump on people or counters anymore. He taught Maxx several other things like stay in a spot, and walk away. That I think we need a bit more practice, but I know Maxx will ace it one day. James did training both inside and outside the house. I also told James, that I will continue from time to time to call him for refresher classes or to work on the stay in one spot. DEDICATED DOG IS THE BEST! We have a very big dog, he is very sweet BUT it was impossible to walk him, he is very strong and he was dragging us around. We could not open the front door without him trying to bolt out of the door. We send our dog Bosch to Dog Training while I was giving birth to our twins, we thought that was perfect timing because we would be out of the house for a while - and Bosch would be in training and being taken care of while I am recovering at home, Bosch came back after 2 weeks and we were amazed on how WELL BEHAVED he is right now! I have a 6 year old aggressive 35 pound puggle. It was so bad to point where he wasn't giving any warning signs before biting me, family members, lunging at strangers, going nuts in elevators, etc, oh yea and I forgot to mention he had absolutely no boundaries. I couldn't invite anyone over because I didn't trust him. He slept on my bed, got to be all over the sofas and did whatever he wanted. I would highly recommend James from Dedicated Dog Training if you are looking to have a well trained, safe dog in your family. James trained our 5 year old rescue Ollie after he had been abused and neglected. Ollie had no manners, did not listen to commands and had fear issues. After a short session of boarder training with James, Ollie now is a model dog. We learned how to follow all of the commands James had taught him and worked with Ollie to come when called, heal on and off leash and more. We then later sent our 3 yr old Peyton to work with James. She was a strong-willed dog who did not come when called, jumped on everyone she could and was impossible to walk on a leash. After 2 weeks with James, and obviously work with her on our own, it is now a pleasure to go for a walk with my girl. She heals both on and off leash, comes when called and has drastically reduced her jumping. James currently has our two latest puppy rescues, both 6 months old, and he is a God send with them. These two pups were abused, and one has major fear issues. So far, James has been able to gain their trust and I can not wait to get them back in a couple of weeks to begin working with them. James has been awesome helping us to train our husky. Before training, our dog Axl would jump on visitors, run all over our couches and actually run away from our house any chance he could get. When I was 6 months pregnant I had to chase him around our neighborhood only to have to carry the 50 pound dog home after I caught him 3 blocks from home. Enough was enough. I thought he was nuts, but appreciated that he wasn't taking my money and running, and signed up for a 2 hour class where my boyfriend and I would be present. I have a 4 year old female German Shepherd Dog who has high anxiety and is leash reactive. I'm thrilled with the progress she's made since doing the 4 week board and train. James was an awesome trainer. I had a previous trainer that didn't really help us with what we needed. Our 1 year old dog was having problems with nipping and biting. He thought it was play time 24/7 and if you weren't paying attention to him he would get annoyed and run around nipping your pants, hands or anything hanging off you. He even started growling, which is when I decided something needed to be done. James taught us how to fix our dog's behavior with the E-collar. He even started catching on that same day. The few days after the training session were the best I've seen my dog behave! James was very informative with everything. From the fitting of the collar, different brands of collars, how to use it properly, and how to act with the dog around the house so that he knows we set the rules. At first , we were skeptical when he said all we needed was a two hour session. It seems like it's not possible to solve any problems in that time frame. But it's really all you need. James was accurate in determining the time frame and procedure to correct my dogs behavior. Its all about using the tools and information he gives you and being consistent after the training. It's also been very accommodating that James has made himself readily available through text or phone calls to answer any questions I had after the training. I was referred to James by a friend. Great guy good attitude. I have a 2 yr. old rambunctious French bulldog. Always humping/smothering people and jumping on my couch. James and his training has greatly improved my dog's behavior and I highly recommend him. After moving to the suburbs from a city, my dog was getting increasingly aggressive and barking at any new dogs or people he met. James recommended the e-collar and taught us how to use it. I'm extremely happy with the training we have received from James. My 80 pound 1.5 year old silver lab is very happy, full of energy, and hard to control due to size. She would jump on guests walking through the door, walking her outside was impossible, the come command was ignored, and she would "talk" back at the word no. We adopted a 6 and a half year old black English lab, who was very badly behaved. He was humping a lot and, being a very obese lab, he was very powerful. I put him in a 4 week in-house training program and shelled our $3500. He was supposed to be off-leash trained, among other things. When I got him back, he was as bad as before, if not worse. I was SO UPSET, at my wit's end, and I was almost ready to return the dog back to the shelter. At the last second, I called up James. In just one session, James told me how to train him. Just as with the in-house training, we used the e-collar. By the end of the second session, the dog was walking next to me in heel position (without a leash). My last session with James was just us beating around the bush since I got what I wanted out of the dog. My dog is now just a super sweet, gentle being, who is just love incarnate. As for James.....I cannot think of a nicer, more wonderful trainer than him. He is a lot of fun to talk to, train with, and he is always there for any questions and follow-ups. Our 2 years old lab retriever/coonhound mix was in need of training due to her high energy. She was in constant motion and although a very loving and playful pup she would just not listen. My cousin had sent her German Shepard to James and was very happy with the board and train so we decided to send Sophie to the board and train program. Sophie was with James and his family for three weeks. After having experienced a former dog running away, I was a nervous wreck for three weeks. However James was in communication with us often enough that it made me much calmer and less nervous about her being away. Sophie came back to us with the ability to follow her commands - heel, come, place and sit. Although they seem very basic it still allows Sophie to be that loving and playful pup we love with the ability to listen to us when it is time to listen. Wow - where to start?! James is amazing!! My husband and I and our Lab mix, Violet, all give him our stamp of approval!! From the moment I began communicating with James, through his emails, phone conversations and actual training, he is a very professional individual with a very extensive knowledge of his profession. Violet is our 11 week old puppy who began to have aggressive tendencies, and being that my husband and I are first time puppy owners we really needed to be educated on how to train Violet positively from the start. James came to my house for an initial training session with my 7 month old golden doodle. My dog is 50 lbs, and had a habit of jumping on people when they walked in the door.
