Dan and his staff are by far the best team for pet care needs! Trustworthy and reliable and caring!

A+++++++ Have used them in the past ( for our elderly dog) with excellent results. This company knows what they are doing! Just adopted 2 rescue dogs and met with Alex - to get on schedule. The BEST! Cannot say enough good things about these people. Professional, hard working, reliable, willing to go that extra bit for your pets. They truly love the dogs they take care of-on the day recently where we had to put down our dog, managers and walkers who knew Kasey came to the house to say goodbye. Cannot tell you how much this meant to us. Highly recommended. read more

Dan's Pet Care - That's Ruby showing how much she loves Danny, her favorite walker. - Dog Walkers Near Me

Dan's is so great! I cannot say enough good things about them! I just got my first puppy in October and I was excited but overwhelmed. I use Dan's for walks and for training and everyone is just unbelievably kind, responsive, terrific, and as in love with my puppy as I am :) Special compliments to Adam for helping with everything, Stephanie for being a phenomenal trainer (of both the puppy and me), Ryan and Chris for making sure she has such fun walks, and Kristen for helping with coordination. I LOVE the after walk messages! They bring such smiles to my face and let me know how much progress she's making. I have complete confidence letting them in my home, and complete confidence that they take exceptional care of the pup. And most important of all, she LOVES them! She is SO excited when her friends come to visit :) I 3000% recommend them without reservation and am so lucky I found them! read more

I haven't even used Dan and his service but I am writing a review anyway !! I called him last minute this morning I am visiting from out of town and had to attend an early morning event . When I arrived the host told me it would not end til 2. I scrambled to find someone to help and Dan told me no problem he could do it Turns out the event let our at noon and I cancelled the service. He said " no problem". So grateful how gracious he was about the whole thing and look forward to using his services on my next visit!! read more

We absolutely love Dan's Dog Walking and Pet Sitting! Dan's was highly recommended to us by a fellow pit bull owner and it means the world to us that our dog Mikey gets the most amazing care when we are away. My partner Stephen and I were hesitant to start leaving our pets with anyone but us or our family just because we get nervous being pit owners but from the moment we had our introductory session we knew we were in good hands! Once Mikey got to meet a member from Dan's Dogwalking service he was instantly smitten and we could tell that Dan's employees really had such a wonderful way with animals. Plus when we are away we know our other son, our cat Otto, will get the same great care. What I love the most about their service other than the exceptional care is that we get daily emails and photos of our pets each day we are away! I really can't say enough about how much we love their service and would recommend to any pet owner! Danielle & Stephen read more

Dan's Pet Care is liking having a family member care for your favorite family member! Incredibly personalized service from all of their specialists, even on short notice. Professional, reliable and so kind. They spend time with my cat and show such love and interest. I get a report with pictures after the visit and feel instantly relieved that my cat is in the best hands while I am away. I have used them many times and they are consistently excellent and responsible. read more

We just moved to Port Washington area last weekend, and we called dan's dog walking this Tuesday to schedule a walk next day -sounds like impossible, but Aly called me and she swung by our house on Tuesday night and made it on Wednesday! All the staff are just so friendly, nice and loving. Absolutely recommend it read more

We've been using Dan's since they opened and they've been consistently excellent throughout that time. They are professional, dependable, and reliable, but most importantly they genuinely care about the pets they care for. We were in a last-minute pinch today and Dan's went above and beyond to come through for us and our pup. read more

Reliable, good hearted, animal loving, hands on, flexible, trustworthy. What more can you ask for when it comes to your pet? Dan takes care of Alfie (my 4 year old cat) whenever I'm out of town. I've even left Alfie with Dan last minute and never does he refuses (I feel so bad). I know I can always count on Dan when it comes to my baby and know that he's in good hands. read more

I came here to inform the masses that Dan's Dog Walking and Pet Sitting is the real deal. After many searches for a suitable Sitter for the summer, I came across Dan. As with any sitter, you want to make sure they will provide the right environment for your beloved "family member". After speaking with Dan, I can validate that he is a young, mature, and energetic business man. Very professional and definitely put me at ease by assisting me with all my questions. Coming across a great sitter, who both you and your pet appreciate, is hard to find. I know the next time I have to leave for a vacation or a business trip, Dan is the man I'll call. read more

Trustworthy, professional and reliable service. I used Dan's for the first time and was thrilled. My cat was cared for with love and I got newsy updates with pictures on a daily basis. My house was pristine when I returned. I highly recommend Dan's! read more

LOOK NO FURTHER!! I will not have enough space here to type all the wonderful things I have to say about this company! They know their business, provide everything from walking, pet sitting and even training. We have 2 new pups (now 9mo old) that get walked every day (they are always so excited to see Erin!) and we also are doing training with Stephanie. She is truly a dog whisperer!! Amazing results! I have done my due diligence on just about every company in my area and they are definitely a cut above the rest. You can download the app on your phone, see what time your dog walker arrived, as well as the route they went on and when the dogs returned home. A note is also added on the app so you know if any unusual events happened and if they peed/pooped, etc. on their walk. Very nice feature! Of course if something is truly wrong, they place a call right away to primary and secondary people listed on the account, followed by a text. They are on top of it!!!! Extremely knowledgeable about their business, as well as accommodating. Alex has spent so much time helping us, guiding us and giving his expert advice. Anyone you speak with is extremely friendly and willing to help. Very responsive too! Simply, THE BEST read more

I love Dan's Dog Walking. It is so plain how much love they have for the pets I entrust to their care. My dogs are better dogs for their walks with Dan's walkers and the photos and notes are a great way to help me feel like they're getting the best care. read more

I stumbled across Dan because I waited until the last minute to book a kennel and my normal one was full! They didn't seem to mind one bit, though, and they answered all of the questions I threw at them....including being willing to deal with some special dietary needs. Awesome! read more

We used dan for 10 days! This was not the first time. Our dog was well taken care of! Happy and healthy! House was clean, lights rotated! All good! We had. Qr code that let us know when his walkers were in the house, the walk route they took , poops and pee and a lovely note from the walker! Pics too!!!!! Wonderful reliable loving service,,,,, read more

After a couple of bad experiences using the neighborhood kids, we've turned to Dan's and we're not looking back! They were amazing. My dog is timid, nervous, and doesn't like change. I can not say enough good things about the attention she got, including Dan going above and beyond to make my dog comfortable on her first visit. I came home to a well cared for, and very happy, dog. Thanks to the DDW team! read more

We've used Dan and his staff three times this year to look after, feed, play and walk our teacup yorkie, Mahoney, while we are away on trips. His staff is courteous and professional, and they provide daily emails with notes and pics. They treat our dog almost as well as we do. No, I think they treat Mahoney better actually. LOL. I highly recommend them and couldn't imagine what we would do if they were not around. There will be a fourth trip coming up soon and we will definitely use them again. read more

Ill start off by saying Jiggy is not the friendliest dog in the world. Taking him to the vet or to get groomed is a nightmare ALL the time. The last dog sitter we used called us 2 days into our vacation to tell us he wasn't going back because Jiggy bit him. When I met Dan and he told me he owned a dog walking business I was very hesitant to hire him out of fear that Jiggy would play his same old tricks. Dan assured me that everything would be ok and that he's dealt with every kind of dog imaginable. My immediate thoughts were "you've never met a dog like Jiggy before." So anyways I tried them out and to my surprise I never got that phone call that Jiggy was misbehaving, the opposite happened actually and Dan said he loved Jiggys energy! I have used Dans service for about 2 months now and love it. Thanks Dan. read more

Do not trust this service!!!!! When I first met the "team" they seemed very nice and I felt comfortable with letting them into my home to care for my two dogs. The first time I used the service everything went well, then they started sending people into my home that I had never met (something they told me they would never do) then I noticed on my home security camera that not only was there a stranger in my home but he did not even take my dogs out for a walk as I had clearly requested when I scheduled the service! I let them know that I was not ok with that and they gave me a credit for the walk, on using the credit last night the walker never even showed up!! My poor 5 month old puppy was in his crate crying to be let out, no-one answers the phone- I finally got Dan's phone number from a friend and he tried telling me some story about why he was late (over 45 minutes) and how my service was scheduled at a later time anyways which was not true. I will never be using this service again, they can not and should not be trusted in your homes or to do the simple tasks such as walking your dog or even showing up - DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY!! read more

Last weekend I was in a jam-- I had an event in Port Washington and no place for my 8 month old puppy. I just got her two weeks ago, and couldn't leave her home alone. I was so relieved when I called Dan and he said he could watch her during the event. On the day of the event, I was running late, so I called Dan to tell him, and he went out of his way to meet me at the venue to pick up my dog! My dog had a lovely afternoon in Dan's office laying on couches and chasing tennis balls. When I came to pick her up, she was happy to see me, but definitely not in a rush to go. Dan was super helpful, communicative, and friendly the whole time and I'll definitely call again when in the area! read more

We have been using Dan's for over a year to walk our 2 dogs. Our dogs are always happy to see them. It is great that when they come to my home the walker scans a code unique to my home that sends me an email to tell me they have arrived. When they finish they scan it again and I get another email where they inform me how my dogs are doing and what "business" has occurred on their walk. Generally, they are very responsive to emails and texts (how I primarily communicate with them). I have used them for regularly scheduled walks and on as needed basis. I would highly recommend them. read more

Thanks to Dan and his dedicated walkers, Murphy is a happy, healthy, loving dog and I'm a relaxed happy owner. He gets love and attention from all the walkers - I've often witnessed his excitement when they arrive. They arrive on time, give Murphy a brisk walk with plenty of petting and love included. Scheduling is a breeze - they're available anytime I need them and they are flexible and reliable. I don't have to worry about my dog knowing that Dan and his crew are there to lend a needed hand. They check in and out via e-mail and it always puts a smile on my face hearing about their walk with Murphy. There is no better service to care for your dog - I cannot sing enough praise. read more

Dan was great with my Brixton and Buddy and was so kind as to call me and ask to turn on the AC for us after their walk on a very hot day. Very accommodating with last-minute requests, and I especially loved how Dan made a point of doing a meet-and-greet and GPS setup of the dog walking service so I knew my doggies and home were OK. So worth checking out and I will definitely use again. Also check out the great go-pro videos of pups out with their walkers in the neighborhood, love it! My only caveat and it's not a big deal but I had originally emailed the company over the Xmas holidays to reach out to me but understandably they must've been super busy and I should have called instead of emailed. I needed a sitter back then and I had forgotten to schedule a walker a week before Xmas! it was my bad. However, they have since upped their game...the response time from sending out an email request was prompt. You can also call the company directly if you're neurotic and a worry wart like me. Will be using them again, this time to cat sit while on vacation! read more

We have been using Dan's Dog Walking Service for years. We are very happy with the service we get. Our dog takes time to warm up and trust unfamiliar people. Dan and his walkers worked with us to help our dog Buddy feel comfortable. Buddy is now happy to go for his walks with the walkers, and welcomes them each time. I happened to be home one day and Buddy went for his walk eagerly with the walker. We get an email each time, a record of the time spent and can look up the route he walked. Dan's service has been reliable and responsive to all our requests. We highly recommend them! read more

Dan is so easy to work with, trustworthy, and professional. He has been taking care of our family dog since he started in 2010. I cannot see ever using any other company other than Dan and his team, they are incredibly reliable and have always been able to help us in a last minute situation. They are the best company for your pets no matter what you have. read more

Dan and his team have been taking care of my dogs for over 3 years. They are nothing short of lifesavers. They helped take care of my dog when she had cancer; they picked her up, took her to her chemo appointments, and then took her home. They stayed with her when she needed someone there. They genuinely care about the animals in their care. I currently use them to take care of my 135lb dog and his 70lb buddy - not an easy job! (plus the occasional cat feeding...) But they are reliable, trustworthy, capable and careful. Special instructions are followed, and Dan is always available if you need him personally. The walkers send great notes about the visit, allaying any worries a pet owner might have. I could not recommend them more highly. read more

During the blizzard iearlier this winter (Jan. 2015) we were in Florida for a weeks vacation. The weather was so bad that Dan took Gracie, our shih-tzu home to his house because he was afraid that neither he nor his staff could get to our home in Manhasset. We were worried about Gracie being alone and Dan just picked her up and she had an overnight with Dan and his family. Now that is above and beyond customer service!!! read more

Professional and on time ! Our puppy loves Anthony! Very reasonable and affords the opportunity to have a dog and a life because I don't have to be home every 3 or 4 hours. read more

I'm sorry, but I had a terrible experience with these guys. their people all seem very nice and I was thrilled to discover their highly rated service, but their system for scheduling is a mess. they missed one walk entirely, and another time showed up when I had not scheduled a walk. I expect they're better for people who use them daily, but for now-and-again help, they're just were not reliable. If they could fix their scheduling operation, I would consider using them again. read more

Recently began using Dan's Dog Walking Service. I have been so pleased with their service. The email alert that the walk has started is such a plus. At the end of the walk, I receive another email detailing the walk. Wonderful, warm and friendly staff. Will continue to use and highly recommend to others! read more

A miserable and completely unprofessional experience! I normally don't bother with a negative review when I've had a bad experience, but with this company I felt compelled to show other pet owners what kind of nonsense they will be dealing with if you use this company. I hired them to walk & feed my dog while I was away on a day trip, I followed their instructions to the letter as to where to leave my dogs food. Imagine my shock & anger to find that when I return late in the night that my dog had not been fed at all! Leaving me to wonder if they showed up at all. I called to complain and "Dan" himself told me that the mistake was 100% his fault, he had forgotten to feed my dog, but he did walk the dog, of which I had no proof other than his word, which to be honest at this point wasn't worth very much. Dan was cordial and apologetic and assured me of a full refund. I was pleased at that point, mistakes do happen, but my customer service experience was only to get worse. Dan sent me an email stating that I'd only be getting half a refund, while he did forget to feed my dog, he claimed he did still walk her, of which I had no proof. I expressed to him my unhappiness at that, and he avoided my calls and emails for 2 days, and eventually charged my credit card the full amount! No refund what so ever! After a series of calls I finally got him on the phone, explained to him how unprofessional he & his business were, and told him all I wanted was my house key back and that would be the end of our relationship. Dan once again assured me he'd return the key by the end of the day and in typical Dan fashion the key was never returned. So I had to spring for a new front door lock. I urge anyone who's thinking about using Dan's Dog Walking Service to explore other options, and use another service. I would never recommend this company and since having this experience have met many other former customers of Dan's that have similar complaints. read more
