Over the years, we had taken him to six Vets and all were unsatisfactory. As soon as we walked into Meadowbrook, we were warmly greeted by all the girls at the front desk and the smiling faces of the waiting pet parents. Ashley even left the desk to say hello to our boy. The room was spotless, comfortable, no antiseptic smell, no barking dogs, and plenty of room for everyone to spread out. All our fur kids, dogs & cats, got along too! After a short wait, Dr. Amanda walked into the exam room and, upon meeting her, we immediately knew that we had found our Vet for life! She is totally amazing...warm and extremely knowledgeable. We discussed our boy's needs with her and she was totally on board. No extras were pushed on us and they were reasonable for their services. Shannon said a Tech would be out to get my pet. Uh, you mean I cannot go in with her while she is examined? No. I would have to wait in the parking lot. I cancelled my appointment. Would I leave my human child with a pediatrician and wait out in the parking lot, during their examination? Could they limit capacity of people in the office? Could I stand outside the exam room (well over six feet), masked, so I could see what's going on? I would like to discuss concerns with the Vet. How would I do that? Listen I get it, I want to comply and be safe. But, in my opinion , this is unacceptable. Shannon very curtly said for me to call back at a later time to see if the rules would be changing.

WARNING: My dog Murray was killed while under the care of Robyn and her incompetent dog walker. Any…read moreone who hires them is doing so at their pets risk. The walker's name was Melanie - I complained about her, to Robyn saying I wasn't happy with care, that different walkers came without my knowledge, and that on days when I was home Melanie wasn't walking Murray at the set time. I also noticed that Murray started urinating in the house under Melanies care. Robyn responded the that Melanie was the only walker she had for my neighborhood. I should have dumped her on that day. On a rainy day a few weeks later, I got a frantic call at work from Robyn saying there had been an accident and that I should get home quickly. She said she was on her way to my home. Long story short - my dog was hit by a car. My neighbors ran over to help my dog, but Melanie did nothing. She didn't call the police, she didn't administer CPR or first aid, she didn't put my dog in her car and get him the the vet - she just called Robyn. My neighbor took Murray to the vet in his truck. Before 11/16/11 Home Pet Services took care of 4 dogs in my building. On 11/17/11 they took care of zero. Oh, Robyn did pay for Murray"s cremation.

Schedule on monitor for staff to see who's up next for medications and feedings. Dogs all take a nap between 12-2 pm so facility is closed to public during those hours so dogs can rest. Other doggie facilities for boarding do not have overnight supervision 24/7. Most of them leaving at 7 pm or 530 pm for the night and returning 6 am next day. That schedule did not work for my 5 month old golden doodle pup because she constantly goes to the bathroom since she's a puppy . This is only facility that has 24 hour care! Met with Dan the owner , and his staff upon arrival and was super informative and answered my questions thoroughly made me feel at ease ! Julia, Amanda, Taylor were all extremely friendly, so professional and energetic staff . Gave me a comprehensive tour . Sent me pictures of her first day and she was exhausted on ride home fell asleep! I am just astound at the quality of care and attentiveness the staff provided my dog with today and that was just during her free temperament stay! Excellent communication by staff and Julia for calling me right away and notifying me of some large beads that had passed in my dog's stool! To go as far as to go through the poop, and retain the beads in a zip lock bag and take pictures to send to me so I can see what it looked like, goes beyond ultimate pup care in my book! She said he has 2 baby k9 teeth that need to be removed. She went on to draw blood from my dog & she was shaking like a leaf. She began drawing blood & lost the vein. She had to poke him on his other arm. She called me some days later to say he had elevated liver values. She suggested a bile acid test (another blood test) on an empty stomach. That also came back high. She then suggested an ultrasound, but it is not performed at any of their locations. We had to go elsewhere. Here we are 1 month later & over $1,000 in vet payments to have no clear diagnosis. Super frustrating.
