I am extremely disappointed with my most recent experience with Pawfect Day pet sitting. We were charged a rush fee even though we had being going back and forth trying to get ahold of each other for two or three days. The owner told the sitter to come Saturday/Sunday instead of Sunday/Monday - so a few hours after we left, the sitter came and gave them more food when we had only left enough wet food to last until we came home on Monday. We have a home security camera that sends us notifications whenever a person is detected. We decided to check in to see how the cats were doing with the sitter. What we saw was unprofessional and disappointing. Both days we have footage of her standing around on her phone and texting for thirty straight minutes. Not once does she attempt to play with the cats or pay any attention to them (they are both affectionate and need attention). It's actually absurd that someone can look at their phone for so long without looking up once. Jacqueline tried to tell us it was because she was using the Caregiver App for a few minutes but I have the footage showing she was texting the whole time. We thought we were paying for play time - if we just wanted them fed, we would've asked our neighbors to drop by. I will not be trusting Pawfect Day in the future for pet care. I will say that Jacqueline was prompt in writing us back - however, the damage had already been done & $80 was wasted. read more

They truly go above and beyond. There was one time my friend was house/pet sitting for me and she got locked out, and I called Pawfect Day in a panic. I was in another country and my furbabies needed to be fed! BUYER BEWARE! If I could rate zero stars I would. I will preface this by saying I looked the other way but their sitters lie about going each day to visit your cat and take batch photos to send even when they haven't visited. They are also late to send updates sometimes not sending one per day at all! Despite this, after being a loyal customer for years they changed their policies, and began sending hostile emails after my last attempt to book a week in advance. After jumping through hoops to get my landlord to approve the copying of rfid keys (they claimed to make an exception last time, but could no longer...ok) they randomly unhooked my services A DAY BEFORE I WAS SCHEDULED TO LEAVE THE COUNTRY. Also be aware they aren't able to be reached in urgent cases bc they have virtual assistants that aren't even in the state of New York. The owner Jacqueline is very, very rude and only communicates via email and doesn't return calls or attempts to reach her etc. she also has a very petulant attitude for literally no reason. There are better options in the city with companies who actually use sitters in your area...I'd recommend avoiding this company. Kitty in NY ended up being a much better fit and even though I was sad to switch things up on my elderly cat I'm glad I did bc he's in better hands. But seriously anyone is better than pawfect so buyer beware! Update: I would NEVER lie about a cat sitter not visiting and I've noticed over the course of years that the sitter would be very late with updates or not send them until I reached out worried. I don't have specific dates bc this is something that's happened over the course of years, but it's definitely a thing with this business. Also other reviewers are completely accurate when they say this place is disorganized and not flexible at all regarding their key policy. I went out of my way to beg my landlord for permission to copy a key that isn't supposed to be copied ever, only to have Jacqueline cancel my slot at the last minute with no remorse and a highly petulant and passive aggressive attitude. And so on point what someone said about them charging to charge rush fees when in reality they spend so much time going back and forth via email for days that it's technically not your fault if anything ends up being rushed. read more

We began to desperately search for a local and trustworthy dog walker that could jump in and help with our daughter (boxer) Amelia. Jacqueline, the owner, charged me for after business hours, charged me for the service that was supposed to start the following day at 9AM, and right after she charged my card, she left the office, without providing me any details about the address, time, direct contact with the caregiver I'm supposed to drop off my pup in the morning. Pawfect Day was the best!! I emailed them the night before I left on a trip because I had no one to watch over my cat. Jacqueline emailed me back right away and was able to get me someone to watch my cat over the long weekend. Left my little doggie with Jackie while on vacation for 10 days in France this past April. My doggie lived her best life! Everyday (a few times a day) I received the cutest photos and videos of my pup hanging out with Jackie and Eddie and footage of their walks.
