It's very easy to schedule an appointment on their website relatively close to the day you booked it. They are very consistent with great service, and always end each appointment with a balloon and toothbrush. I'm grateful that everything is very clean and sanitary, even the bathrooms. There's a TV in the waiting room to keep customers occupied and also one available if the child is getting something more than a standard service.

Our son is too young to really even cooperate but he did pretty good. We ended up scheduling general anesthesia for a few caps and fillings. The office staff seems confused, they did not contact us at all before our trip to the hospital -- I ended up calling them to find out the last minute details. They also seemed to forget the important detail of which hospital we wished to use and it turned out we were going to a completely different hospital. Thank goodness I called in the day before. While I found the office staff in need of better organization, Dr. Majidi more than made up for it. My sons teeth look amazing.

Following the on-line questionnaire, our temperature was taken and as we proceeded to the office where everyone was wearing face mask and keeping distance. We were the only patients. We were offered hand sanitizer and the way everything was organized we didn't have to touch anything. The visit felt very safe and professionally handled. We are leaving this practice after just a couple of visits…read more Our first visit was fine - we liked Dr Altman and the quality of the cleaning, X-rays, etc. seemed fine. However, we've been disappointed with the practice since then. Our son had a cavity and we had to wait a month for an appointment to get it filled. And he's now had two adult teeth come in behind his baby teeth, and needs another emergency appointment. But I've called repeatedly and can't even get him on the calendar. The receptionist promises talk to the doctor and call back, and doesn't. She also tells me that, even if we can get squeezed in for an evaluation, the next appointment available for a tooth extraction is not until June - three months from now! Kiddie Cavity Care is the only provider on this side of town who accepts my insurance - so I will going be paying out of pocket to go elsewhere. I am disappointed that this dentist accepted us as patients so recently (just a couple of months ago) when the practice clearly is overbooked and does not have the capacity to accommodate new patients. My neighbor has also just left this practice after being unable to get her kids' cavity filled within the next two months.

TLDR:  Just go here, you'll be so happy you did…read more My 3yo had a dental emergency and, even though he wasn't an established patient, they fit him in same-day because he was in pain.  The receptionist, Genesis, showed so much compassion when she heard my son crying in the background and really went out of her way to make sure we could get him in to be seen right away (we saw the dentist within an hour of our first phone call to her).  When we arrived, Melanie brought my son back and she was SO GOOD with him.  He was bouncing off the walls and so excited to be out (we'd been staying home due to COVID so this was his first time out in a very long time) and I was really nervous that he wouldn't sit still for a dental exam.  But Melanie and Dr. O were beyond fantastic.  Dr. O had such a calm manner about him and, even though they had squeezed us in, he didn't rush me at all and answered all of my questions.  They have a handheld x-ray machine which made it a lot easier to get x-rays of his teeth.  While I was talking with Dr. O., my son couldn't sit still and was running around, so Melanie offered to watch him.  When I finished talking with Dr. O, I found my son with Melanie making artwork.  It was so sweet!   I really can't recommend Children's Dentistry highly enough.  Plus there was easy parking, nice building, and it's a beautiful and bright space.

He was kind, patient, and even brought a monkey and demonstrated brushing his teeth so my child could watch and model him. That approach worked. This time, the doctor acted as if he had never seen us before. Instead of showing patience or trying to understand how to examine a child with autism, his attitude was, "How am I going to do this? I don't know how to examine him." Children with autism and other special needs deserve patience, understanding, and compassion--not frustration or judgment because they cannot cooperate like a typical child. A medical professional should know that sometimes the approach has to be different. I left the appointment heartbroken. Parents of children with special needs already fight every day to make sure their children are understood and treated with dignity. We should never have to leave a doctor's office feeling like our child is a problem. I hope this experience is a reminder that autism requires understanding, not judgment.

Well today was a very dramatic day in our household. Our 9 year old son broke in half one of his…read moreadult front teeth while sledding. I (dad) was home with him when this occurred. I immediately called my wife who is a nurse. She called Dr, Treff whom I had never met. Please keep in mind this was right at business closing time during the first snow storm of the year. Well, instead of rushing home to deal with the crazy traffic he and his assistant Jessica, told my wife to come to the office. While I was driving like a fool in the storm he even called her and said don't drive crazy in the bad weather. Keep in mind I am a bit of a skeptic when it comes to people, especially the medical field. Being in law enforcement for 30 years, does that to you. When we arrived he was waiting and ready with his assistant Jessica. He put me at ease, and immediately went to work on our son. After he did his part, he contacted another dentist and arranged for the cosmetic side of things. When we left him our son actually said " that was fun." Later that evening he even text my wife to confirm that he had contacted the other dentist. To say he has a " Get out of jail card" is an understatement. These guys are terrific, and not to take your kid to him is foolish. I never write these reviews, but I felt I had to in this case. Oh yea, he also sutured his lip laceration. Since this was our first time here (and our daughters first ever dental appointment) I was expecting a bit more (after reading all the reviews) and was surprised the tech never introduced herself or really engaged with our daughter. She was however, incredibly patient as our daughrrr decided toe or three different times she wanted to sit in the chair and lay back to attempt to watch to. In the end she lost interest and by the time Doctor Dave came in with his "silly glasses" Our daughter opted to sit in my lap. Dr. Dave did a quick explanation of how we were going to conduct the "cleaning" he had me lower my mask to show how he would count teeth. He sang the abcs as he checked my daughters teeth, remain engaged/attentive and answered questions. He even managed to floss her teeth (not even sure how he pulled that one off; maybe he's a magician!) Overall, we had a positive experience and will continue to use this elective for our dental needs; but I think it may be geared towards kids maybe 4+; but we gotta start somewhere. Lastly, the treasure we received was a Mickey toothbrush, floss, toy car, and bubbles (a huge hit). I had picked some stickers (since this is what our daughter loves) and hopefully made this a positive experience for her so she continues to enjoy her time at the dentist.

Even though we live in Woodbridge, VA and we have many good doctors around here, I don't mind driving all the way to Arlington, VA, I'm sure my kids are in good hands and they always receive the best dental treatment in DC metro area. The place is very clean, neat, organized and they work with a very good quality equipment. All doctors are very professional, answer all my questions and provide me the options for the treatment. Their office staff are very helpful as well, I never had any issue with appointments, they always find a time that would fit my busy schedule and they always contact me a day before the appointments to confirm it, which is a big plus. Easy parking access!!!!

I recently took my two year old here for her first cleaning. She previously had a cleaning at…read moreanother practice but this place was on my list to switch us too once we changed our dental insurance. I must say that I was very impressed and it met my expectations, and beyond. When we first walked in, the front desk reception sent us to two sinks in the back to wash our hands, as it is their practice for everyone to wash their hands upon entering and to also wears masks. We came around Christmas time and Santa was there taking free pictures with the children and the center was decorated festively. You can tell they really enjoy making the children happy and feel welcomed. There were children crying during their cleaning, but they have many strategies to attempt to calm them. For example, they painted my daughters nails during her cleaning to distract her. They also gave her a teddy bear to clean it's teeth. As well as even though she was not comfortable laying the normal way on the medical bed, and preferred to lay sideways, the dentist followed her and cleaned her teeth where ever she was calm and comfortable. The staff is also diverse culturally. There is a free parking lot out front with ample spaces. So far, I will be back and this will be our pediatric dentist.

He had his teeth pulled in the past so he is terrified coming to the dentist so now he screams and tantrums and the medical assistants and Dr. Holmes knows my son well and she is very good with him and that is the reason I take him there. Unfortunately, I can't say the same with the front desks staff. I get looks from them, no empathy whatsoever that my son is special needs. They look at us everytime we come in with stares and annoyed, like this is Pediatric dentist, you should be use to kids screaming . This is everytime I take my son and the only reason I keep taking him back is because of Dr. Holmes and the dental assistants. Front desks staff needs more training on empathy and courtesy to ALL kids
